This is a lovely shopping centre in the heart of Cork. You cans find a huge variety of shopping options and food court as well. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

Unfortunately both Dunnes Stores and Debenhams have closed their doors but there are still some shops and cafes on the premises. It also holds a carpark and an extensive Marks. Would recommend Costa Coffee, staff and food are impeccable

I was in Merchants Quay, walking towards to the door to head to work. Until after my workshop I noticed on my handbag my zip Mickey Mouse pouch pocket was missing along with my Apple AirPod Pro. I was anxious as I only had them for less then a year. So I went on to Find My App and the last location was at Merchants Quay so I rang them. A nice lady was on the phone and I explained my situation and she couldn’t have made me feel more relieved. I was delighted that she has them. I want to thank you so much for finding them and keeping them safe. I expected them to be gone for good. I am greatful that are there good people out there!!! It’s nice to know Merchants Quay are great to find stuff and mind them till the onwer comes

Plenty of shops ina modern shopping center with some big brands and a great variety of cafes etc. The parking is crazy with an extremely dated car park designed for cars the size of bicycles

The deli counter in Dunnes stores is great value can eat your food there or take it away.

Quiet but you can get everything you are looking for. Dealz has more to offer than the Dealz in Dublin.

Once a very busy Centre , and plenty shops . Today there is lot of empy stores or units . Sad to see . I would love to see these units offered to local businesses or startups at reasonable rates . But the centre is still very modern and has a small selection of stores, and cafe.

Great for M&S and SuperValu. Not a massive selection of shops. Expensive parking.

I think it’s nothing special any more . Marks and Spencer food hall is not great the cloths are ok . The parking is great but extremely expensive.

I like the place, too be honest I can't give it more just because it's very normal, without being overly interesting. Although I have found some places that are akin to ghost towns and are just empty space with no real purpose. Also a serious lack of seating... That stinks. And the security makes the place tense to walk around.

Badly in need of more toilets - I had to queue and I'm a bloke. Men really take it badly when they have to queue. The queue for the ladies was even worse - they shouldn't have to queue either - ever!!!

Big tesco supermarket with additional small units for more shopping. Good restaurant in situ for great food at reasonable price.

Pity SuperValu has closed. But Dunnes Stores is there now and there is a handy side entrance to the deli section where you can get hot or cold filled rolls, tea / coffe and some seating to eat in the shop. That is a nice addition on a cold morning when waiting for a bus

It wasn't a lot of shopping inside of this mall but I do like the fact that a lot of the stores were supporting Down syndrome and donating money to them. They will put it on the top of their store sign. Also the prices of the stores was reasonable. I was able to get me a cool bathing suit. I only complaint was there was not a lot of options and food there.

Very handy as it's right by the bus station - it has an eclectic assortment of shops

Went into O'Brien's coffee sandwich bar in Merchants Quay - disappointed. It took ages to get served (small customer interface for ordering). Then a main component of the sandwich bar, toasted specials, were not available. On politely asking why, was repeatedly told 'we're only doing wraps'. Nothing further could be ascertained. Ordered a wrap - not much choice. It arrived and looked fine until I turned it over - see attached picture. Tables were not cleared/cleaned, half eaten meals etc left to congregate on several tables - cleared away eventually. Tried once more to find out why the menus were restricted, if they were short staffed etc but the young person spoke with didn't seem to know anything or, sadly, didn't care 🫤 NOT recommended.

Car park is very expensive here,, would advise park elsewhere , good selection of shops with everything you need with plenty of fresh food available in Marks & Spencer’s,, clothes, shoes, bags restaurants and toilet are all under this roof with nail salons & boots chemist.

The shopping centre is currently dated and needs an upgrade. The lack of shops makes it feel like a ghost town. The car park above is good value with spaces always available.

Vibrant place with amazing products. The fish is fresh and has a good diversity

Great place to shop meet friends and have a chat over a cup of coffee in one of the many cafes with treats in store. Pay a visit next time while in the city it will be worth your while.

Convenient place to park for shopping across city centre. Car park closes to early, be careful closing time is unpredictable. Some good stores still - M&S main attraction.

Used work in a premises within the shopping centre for years. Found the centre management to be hard work. Theres a reason why there's so many empty shops within the centre which is the same reason why there's so many empty premises along Patrick St. 30 years ago Merchant's quay used to be a vibrant shopping centre full of characters, interesting shops, local tradition and culture- now it's almost soul less

Conveniently located near Parnell Place bus station, Merchant's Quay was a nice surprise. Lots of different shops and cafe, with several levels and escalators and lifts. Worth checking out if you're in the vicinity. The Dunne's store was huge.

Not an awful lot of shopping selection. Definitely needs signs on where to go. Parking is crazy expensive at €3.50 an hour!!!

Plenty of parking and so close to all the shops the toilets in this place let it down as on my visit two sinks didn’t work and there was blood all over the floor and on the only usable sink! Plenty of shops inside and a costa for a much needed coffee after a busy shopping day the leather boot shop was great with loads of colours and choices the lifts gave access to wheelchair users to get to the second floor. The luggage shop upstairs had a nice selection. Marks and Spencer’s. Dunnes stores. Boots. Restaurants. Then heading out to the high street lots of shops including brown Thomas golden discs Mac Donald’s h Samual Tommy Hilfiger penny’s hallmark. Mr price. Something for everyone. the car park had a max price of €19 and closes at 11pm so you really can shop till you drop!

Quite nice, but the opening hours remind me of the 50s or small villages - not a modern shopping centre in Ireland's second largest city.

  • 3/5 kay b. 2 years ago on Google
It's a place to shop, with a selection of shops but now with 2 big shops closed ie dunnes & debenams it's a little lost.

Amazing shopping centre! Nice place to visit and have a nice coffee at Costa, or buy a lovely loaf at PANA BREAD. Best staff members, really helpful!

Went to marks and spencer s it was only okay I was looking for cargo pants I asked at the click and collect counter and the payment counter no one could check for me if they had a size in stock even in Dunne s they can access their computers to see if the size is on stock not a great service

Its okay has a few shops there dunnes the dunnes has been closed for a while but for quick snakes there is super value, deals and M&S. It has a boots and a few other shops plus public toilets.

Didn't see the whole mall but it has 3 different supermarkets right at the entrance which is nice. The location is good too.

  • 3/5 eddy f. 2 years ago on Google
Still a good shopping centre, or it would be if less sites were closed and empty, maybe they need to offer some incentives to get the retailers back

  • 3/5 Aleksander R. 1 year ago on Google
Toilets at the top floor clean but so small that it is even hard to pass by when someone goes in and the other person goes out. That should be redesigned for sure, even for safety reason. In general not really great selection of shops. Nice Boots, Dealz seems to be struggling with supply chain so their offer is quite limited, other stores just normal. Nothing too special about this place.

The lack of 2 major anchor tenants is a huge disappointment. The cost of parking is expensive. What was once a pleasure to shop in is now the complete opposite

  • 1/5 paul m. 1 year ago on Google
Some great shops but the toilets here are shocking. Tucked away upstairs only 1 set of toilets. Always a queue to enter either the men's or ladies with a maximum of 4/5 people in each. Surely this is not legal to have so few toilets to serve the largest shopping centre in Cork City. Go for a pee before arriving, it'll save you trying to hold it while queueing.

I gave it 3 stars because the chicken breasts in the bucket for beautiful but I have to say we got what a chicken fillet burger and got very sick out of KFC Goa sick for a whole day

The same as every other Shopping Centre in my eyes, the usual brand shops, cafes, fast food, shoe shop, etc. Doesn't do anything in particular for me but then I am a man, women would probably find it very interesting and find lots to do at Merchants Quay Shopping Centre as they usually do in all shopping centres.

Small shopping centre which seems to be stuck in the past. Unfortunately missing Debenhams and now SuperValu. Dunnes is back open however.

Good shops and cafes at the shopping centre. Ample safe parking, even though a little expensive. Very convenient to the city centre.

Cute shopping centre. Has a Costa, M&S, Dunnes, Boots and a great cafe upstairs. I strolled through here several times and was never disappointed when I need to do a bit of shopping or sit down for a bit to eat.

It is a good place to Park and there are still good shops there ,especially M &S but I truly miss Debenhams and having Dunns under the same roof !

Popular brands like M&S and a dunnes store here. Free public toilets. No parking.

After a good portion of shops closed down, there isn't too much to do. Staple shops are Dealz, Dunnes Stores, Marks & Spensers and Boots and Supervalu

I was in a rush and my shopping in Marks and Spencers only took a few minutes, the sales register staff were really efficient even though there was a line. Click and collect last week excellent also. Many great shops in the centre. Parking expensive though I think.
