Seaham has a lot to offer with a great selection of cafes and restaurants in town and on the marina. Take time to explore both the seafront and marina.

Lovely little bay, very popular, so expect crowds, especially on scorching hot days like today... Very welcoming and safe waters to swim and bathe... Places to eat in or out...

Beautiful area. The small beach is lovely and ideal if you have a dog or children. Nice places to eat. The Look Out has amazing views and we have seen dolphins. We'll worth a visit.

The area has been redeveloped in recent times, but has managed to keep some of it original features around the harbour. The Tommy statue in the Terrace Gardens is worth a visit. The area also has free car parking. Well done Seaham

Nice selection of shops and cafes, and if you're early enough you can get a parking space. We've never had a problem parking, and it's free. Could do with a couple more toilets. Fresh water tap at the top of the beach perfect for washing sand off and filling dogs bowls

Nice little sheltered beach, good for paddleboarding and kids to wade in. Small selection of food places and toilets right next to it. Parking is limited and tight to get in and out of but easy enough to park at the top and walk down.

I have not been to Seaham Harbour for about 18 years and my word has it changed. It is so good to see what a little bit of investment can do! It now offers a little of something for everyone without spoiling the natural beauty of the area or its history. Well worth a visit.

Travelled up to Seaham on a very wet and cloudy Tuesday. Lovely small town that looks to be getting a bit of investment and development. The port is very small and so is the marina. There is a tremendous statue on the front, a giant Tommy. Entitled 1101 to commemorate the first minute of the armistice. Being at the seaside it's the law to eat fish and chips with ice cream for afters. Plenty of both to choose from

Well worth a look down, there is always something to see whether it be the water sport activities, the boats in the marina or just the lovely views. If your lucky there may be a commercial boat entering or leaving the harbour. You can enjoy this whilst having something to eat, a cup of coffee or an ice cream.

Visited today for the first time, and it was stunningly beautiful. If you visit Seaham, this is a must visit and see, especially if you want to grab a bite to eat away from the main strip. There's lots of little bars and cafes that are hidden away all of which are reasonably priced and aren't busy. There's sufficient parking down the harbour too. There's toilet facilities there, and I would say is worth visiting any time of year due to how beautiful it is.

Lovely day out to visit Seaham. Very peaceful. People there were very friendly. There are some good shops and cafes to sit and enjoy the view of the habour marina. The Beach was beautiful although I didn't do any glass picking I rather enjoyed the view. Very clean and beautiful beach. You will definitely capture some stunning pictures of the views.

Really nice little Marina, with some shops , cafes and a small car park. There is also plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. There is a steep bank (about 150 to 200 metres)to walk down to get to the Marina if you can not get parked in the small car park.

Fantastic experience. Searching the beach for glass. Over the moon today, as I found my first blue and yellow piece. Hundreds of white and green around. We took our grandson, whose 4, and he loved searching and finding all the pirates, hidden treasure. Cant recommend this area enough.

What a lovely place to go and just wonder along the pebble beach then walk up and over to the marina and enjoy a cuppa before enjoying the sandy beach on the opposite side to the marina. It was a cold windy day but that didn't put us off and still enjoyed the crashing waves and the wind on our face.. well worth a visit and go an enjoy the local fish and chips with an icecream to finish you won't be disappointed.

Picturesque and unspoilt habour Town, with amazing beaches, cliff top walks, the best Fish and Chips you can ask for and sea fresh air. Seaham is a lovely place to visit, with clean beaches and rock pools to discover, coves to explore or just to sit and relax watching the ships on the distant horizon with magical sunrise and sunsets.

We go here because they have some lovely cafes. The ice cream parlour has some amazing flavours and also includes some vegan sorbets and ice creams. The pancake house is used by the daughters and grandchildren and they think it is amazing. The burger outlet is also fantastic. Parking is free everywhere in Seaham which must annoy the marina owners. A legacy of the Londonderry family.
