We only went for the hiking trails, this time. Nice, easy, well maintained. Great picnic areas for after the hike.

So much to do and explore here! Great place to take kids! It has a story trail, bird shack to feed the birds, plenty of wild life and a very interesting, naturally made playground. With 12 miles to walk all throughout, you will not find yourself bored!

Queen Annika loves visiting the Ned Smith Center. She normally goes every spring and every fall. The trails and the center are top-notch. Highly recommend. Make time to visit for yourself.

This place has a lot going on. Nature trails, a stream for exploring and a park that is just down the road with baseball fields and a pavilion for family get-togethers.

This place is like a second home to me. They have great people working here. They are always improving and also have great summer programs

A super place for learning about nature and wildlife illustration honoring nature writer and illustrator Ned Smith. They hold classes and walks there as well. Also has outdoor concerts in its amphitheater out back

Did a Photography 101 school field trip and it was pretty decent since there were plenty of nice things to photograph. The guide was knowledgeable and was great with the kids. The walking bridge is iconic and the trail from the nature center leads up to the Lykens Valley trail. Even though from points east like Harrisburg and the west shore you drive right past the more well-known Boyd's Big Tree preserve, the Ned Smith Center offers more educational programs and is easy access to northern Dauphin and southern Northumberland counties.

Such a beautiful setting, nice places for kids to play, hiking trails and the displays inside the center are educational and interesting. Quaint little gift shop too. No admission (donations accepted)

Went with a large group to hike the rugged trail. Recommend bringing hiking poles due to steepness coming back down the mountain
