A fantastic Sicilian café offering good value bites including mouth-watering focaccia with various options of stuffing, rice balls with sumptuous ragu (typical Sicilian street food), generous meat platters and heavenly delicious cannoli. Will definitely be back for more!

Worth the wait for a table... the truest representation of an Italian trattoria I've come across in the UK. Food was delicious, just keep in mind the tomatoes aren't from Sicily! And the service was friendly and filled with Italian bravado! Definitely worth a try if you're nearby.

Fabulous! Attentive service with lots of smiles, very informative about the menu, you can see how proud they are of this lovely place, and so they should be. It has a very lively atmosphere and they have made good use of what is quite a small space. The cocktail menu is vast, with all the favourites and then some. Food was delicious, we had a couple of the cheese and meat platters, which came with lots of different varieties, sour dough bread, crackers, olives and sundried tomatoes and all at a really good price. And then there was desert, we tried all three. Beautifully presented and delicious.

Lovely casual Italian restaurant. Very affordable for a quick bite to eat. The lasagna was delicious and the coffee was excellent. Very friendly staff too!

Had the Carlisi board to share sat in the sun with a nice glass of red. Absolutely amazing and great value given the quality of the meats and cheeses. Can't wait to have it again mid Dale Street pub crawl.

Good food at an excellent price is unfortunately stained by incredibly poor service. A group of 5 must wait over 45 minutes to receive food, my salad was sat on the counter for 30 minutes before being delivered. The waitress was impatient and impolite despite the small restaurant being relatively empty and took our drinks before we had finished. The staff failed to replace a fork that had fallen on the floor, there were a lot of small flies, concerning as the kitchen is open to the rest of the restaurant. I have been a few times but this will be my last.

Really cosy and decorated with good taste! Amazing opening hours (stays open till very late at night and serves food too!) and a beautiful space to sit with a laptop. A very convenient spot too on Dale Street. Thank you guys and I hope you keep up the good work! PS It would be amazing if you could add fruit salads. In Italy and Greece you can find them everywhere, but in the UK noone does them 🙃

We loved this place. So much so that we visited 2 out of our 4 nights in Liverpool and for breakfast. The staff are extremely friendly and service is great.  The food is top quality. Fresh produce and the most delicious meats and cheese platters. Everything was perfect. The selection of items on the board is excellent. The bella di cerigonola olives are huge and delicious.  All beautifully presented too. Plenty of drink options and I loved the spicy callente cocktail.  You must try it. Breakfast was good,  bacon and pork belly on waffles. Excellent black coffee. Just wish we lived closer as it would certainly be a place we'd visit time and time again.

Fantastic service, not overpoweringly in your face, however just enough to feel valued with your visit, and yet at the same time never about the monetary value. It is all about genuine Sicilian hospitality. Real family vibe throughout the guest journey. 💯💯

Visited yesterday on a food tour wonderful. Best cannoli ever! So good we bought some to take away. There own distilled gin was superb! Atmosphere was terrific. A definite must to visit if you enjoy authentic Sicillian food. 😉

The most authentic Sicilian food, literally everything was delicious and amazing value for money. Staff were so accommodating and friendly. The family run atmosphere really made the difference and the cocktails went down great! Would 100% recommend, definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in Liverpool.

I was in Liverpool for work in September and a colleague and I were looking for somewhere to eat. We stumbled on Carlisi and we had such a lovely evening. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. I would definitely recommend. Alessio is fantastic too!

Table of 9 no bother. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the staff were wonderful, fun and attentive. Fabulous singer and entertainment. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. It felt like we were on holiday, a lovely refreshing vibe for Liverpool eating. I can’t wait to go back again.

If you haven’t visited Carlisi on Dale Street then you are missing out! I try and visit here at least 3 times a month. I would have to say that their cannolis are the best that I have ever tried! You are always made to feel very welcomed by Alesio and Federico and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I would highly recommend!.

Fantastic, will be back again for the cannoli alone! Had the bruchetta and they do it right with great produce, ate half before I thought to snap a pic for the review.

I wholeheartedly recommend Carlisi. We stumbled across this gem when looking for somewhere for a later breakfast and I'm so happy we did. Not only was the coffee really tasty but the food was perfect all topped off with great service. When I'm next in Liverpool I'll definitely be back 👍

This place is a great little hidden gem! Stopped here for lunch with my partner and ordered both the parma ham and spicy Italian calabrese to share between us. Sandwiches are slightly expensive however you’re paying for proper ingredients. Everything about the sandwich was amazing, very rich flavours which are balanced perfectly. Definitely recommend this place. I’ll be back to try some of the other things on their menu! (Sandwich does come with salad but I had already eaten it before taking the picture)

This place could bee seen like a double face, Italian people that are missing the Italian cuisine ( especially the Sicilian one) or English people that want try the true Italian cuisine. Starting from very abundant and rich bruschetta with pistachio cream and mozzarella to the focaccia with mortadella, all of them served in their home-made bread (that you can actually buy it like a bakery). A wide menu with high quality food, all of them imported straight from Sicily like the Sicilian cannolo, an unique dessert that only this one in this restaurant can match the original one, because even the ricotta cheese is imported in order to be respectful ad possible to the original receipt. Great food means more if the customer service is excellent as is in this restaurant. Friendly and gently people na a proper Italian stile. This place must be visited when you are Liverpool also because they do fantastic cocktails too!

Absolutely everything was delicious! Did not disappoint. If you're in Liverpool, stop by for the cocktails here!! The cheese and meat platter was so tasty! Their customer service is 5 stars on their own! They make you feel like you're a regular here. All staff is very friendly, I recommend making a reservation but wait time is not too long.

We just walked in passing through the way to have some hot drinks in the chilly weather but it turned out to be surprisingly good. The menu looked small and limited at a glance but after getting the order the portion was big and filling. V ordered a salad and waffles. Waffles were yummy. Even the peppermint tea I had was way better than what I usually have from the local supermarket. Food was nicely decorated as well. I would like visit again.

Had a lovely coffee and breakfast here today. Excellent food, all freshly prepared. Amazing customer service. We were made very welcome.

The food and drinks were quite nice, my favourite was the avocado salad (huge portion!!). Will definitely come back to try more from the menu. There was a nice live jazz trio (keyboard, drums and double base), but it was too loud for the small place, so it soured the experience a little.

In a rush on Sunday Morning, came to Carlisi for a quick lunch to go. Great coffee and in the absence of anything Vegan on the menu, the chef just whipped up a sandwich from scratch, on the spot and it was incredible. What a cook. Excellent service, would happily go again, whole menu looks great.

The food was beautifully divine! So simple and very very tasty. Each dish packed a punch and were so perfectly seasoned. The food is also made fresh and portions are great! I will have to return for their Sicilian coffee, funky cocktails and of course all the other dishes! Definitely recommend! Grazie!!

Still the most Fabulous food and sandwiches day time, finest Italian ingredients all very tasty.. Great coffee too. Alcoholic drinks and cocktails later on, all the best. Some amazing bottled beers from all over Italy and the world. Still the best focaccia in Liverpool. Always nice to see the friendly staff too, especially the guys in charge 😍👍

We went here twice, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was really tasty and authentic, I was so eager to dive in, that I didn't take any pics of the main food, just the desserts. We tried the Aracini Gamberetti Pistachio, Bruchetta, Parmigiana, Mediterranean Salad, Canoli for dessert and Iced Lattes...everything was perfect! Oh and the service was great too
