What an awesome ride on history. Worth every penny. When you are taking a friend somewhere, you should casually drive down to the water and wait for the ferry. It’s a surreal experience driving your bike or car into what feels like a very small ferry. Great experience. You can also rent the ferries for parties!

A nice walk along the river. They have 2 person swings along the path and picnic tables. Beautiful sights of the Susquehanna river. It was very clean and well kept. Sweet treats now open where you can get candy and ice cream.

Great little Ferry! I lived reading the history behind it while waiting for our turn across the river. Will definitely ride again to go shopping in Millersburg.

America at it's finest. Beautiful beyond words. The staff is awesome and extremely transgender friendly. It was worth my time. I would strongly suggest you take this trip through history. History in action at it's best. Support local business and organizations like this.

We just so happened to find this while taking a scenic drive around the Sus Valley. Stopped to get out of the car and take a few pics. The ferry had a sign that said closed so we didn't expect much. Just as we were about to drive off, a distinguished gentleman appeared who turned out to be Captain. Instead of leaving, we went on a relaxing little voyage while we learned about the history of the ferry and the river it crosses.

Very cool ride on a ferry, we can't wait to go back and do it again. Only $10 for a motorcycle

Take a step back in time! Lots of history here aboard the last operating ferry on the Susquehanna River. Also the last wooden double stern-wheel paddle boat operating in the US.

Round trip on a Friday with grandchildren was a great experience. Well worth the ticket price. Beautiful day. River level was good. Captain Tom was so pleasant, with lots of history shared with the patrons. Liverpool campground store had ice cream treats.

Took my family today. Went to ask when they were leaving, and they said 10 minutes. Got my family together, and 2 minutes later, they left without us. It's probably been 30 years since I've been on it. Won't be going back

A very small historic ferry. When we arrived, they were just shoehorning four vehicles on to make the trip eastward. We had to wait for a full cycle. If you aren't in a hurry, this can be quite pleasant (just sit in the tree swings and watch the river go by). The ride itself was very interesting. One of the workers told us much of the history of the ferry. Note to motorcyclists: neither side is the most "two-wheel friendly" we've seen. We had no problem, but inexperienced riders should note the gravel and especially the hill on the eastern end.

This place is pure history. If you check out my reviews you will see, I don't waste my time with bad reviews. ( Okay maybe one or two) My point is , 5 stars, nothing to complain about. Where in this great nation can you take your car or motorcycle across a river by boat. Records show people have been crossing the river at this place since , get this, 1817. You can cross a river every day by bridge and you will never appreciate that crossing as much as on a stern wheel paddle boat. Yes it is an honest to Heaven river boat. Once you are on board you get out and pay for your crossing. You could stand with your car or sit in the boats open air cabin with the Captain. You don't even need your car. You can cross then come back just to enjoy the ride. That is a two way trip folks, you don't have to pay for your car but you do have to pay for you. There are two different boats. Which will you get, the Roaring Bull or the Falcon.

I am a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania and I never knew about these historical ferries. I was delighted when my friend and I discovered the ferries on a recent road trip. The ferries weren't in the water yet and still in dry dock but there was volunteers there getting it ready for a spring launch. Two ferries: the Falcon & the Roaring Bull travel back & forth from Millersburg across the Susquehanna River to Liverpool. I hope to come back this summer and take a trip in history.
