Less than good quality food at exceptionally high prices. Glass of wine over £8. Good reason not to fly from Liverpool

Maybe I’m being a bit unfair, this wasn’t a bad breakfast sandwich, but calling it Ultimate… are you having a laugh? It’s a bog standard toastie, on a tiny little saucer. Expensive too, and I have no idea why they can’t be bothered getting some proper butty buns in. The amateur hour order-at-your-table site didn’t work either, and bar staff started arguing the toss before letting me pay normally on their card machine. I’ll just go to Starbucks next time, less hassle and you get a smile.

I didn’t expect much from airport food but the ceasar salad here was fantastic. Service was really quick, ordered through an app so no waiting at a bar and the waiting staff were all very friendly even though it was very busy

Very poor service ordered 2 coffees at 08.05 am and by 08 30 am nothing had arrived. I had to ask for my money back. The staff very slow no urgency about them. Customer service very poor. One member of staff said too many customers to deal with, let's just hope when the passenger numbers increase the service improves

Always friendly, attentive staff. Speedy service. Also value for money compared to other eateries in the airport. I think I had 6 rashes of bacon in my breakfast roll!!

Me and my friends travelling from Liverpool John Lennon to Barcelona and stopped at Kissing Gate for a bite. The service was speedy fast. We only waited about 10 mins for our foods to arrive. The Caesar salad was scrumptious and the waiter named Liam was very polite and smiley. We will definitely go back there again if we travel at the same airport

Plenty of staff, quiet. Staff standing around at the bar chatting. Waited several minutes to be noticed and told to sit and order. Barely found an uncluttered or clean table to sit at. Table still sticky. Order system does not allow you to request no ice so I lost a quarter of my drink taking it out. Waited far too long for a drink to be served considering the number of staff. The young lady who served us was very friendly and efficient.

Bad food over priced. Bar and drinks ok, but steer clear from the food. £18 for the ultimate burger which arrived charcoaled yet Luke warm, it had been on the grill for a long time. The funny bit was 10 mins after we got the food, a guy brought a microwave steaming small portion of pulled pork and said we forget to add this - BS indicator on high alert It’s bad food over priced

Lovely service, manager really knows how to run the place (Chantelle). Ella came out the kitchen to help out and just lit the place up, she is wasted talent back there chopping bread up. Ace!

The service was fantastic, despite the busy crowds. All staff were smiling, friendly, efficient and seemed to have a great comaraderie with each other. It made the atmosphere enjoyable while I waited. I had a cheese burger, chips and the vanilla icecream. All the food was tasty and filling. I think it was value for money. My drinks were non alcoholic beers and I was glad they had one in stock. The table was clean, plates and bottles cleared away timely. I had access to charge my phone too. Great experience. An asset in the airport.

Convenient place to grab a bite to eat before a flight. The food was okay but slightly overpriced for the quality. The poached eggs were overdone, but they were still okay. Several veggie options, which we really appreciated. Service was really fast and efficient. Overall, I would probably stop here again.

Lauren was great and found us a table straight away even though it was so busy! How she is so bubbly at 5am I do not know! Drinks and food came really quick and we’re enjoyable

After walking through the kissing gate bar to try to find a seat, Olga kindly assisted us to find somewhere to sit and so the kids could see the planes out the window. Such a nice gesture to get our holiday off to a good start. Thanks Olga 😊

We only had a tea and coffee so can't comment on food. But the staff are friendly and the service is quick. Good price compared to other eateries.

We received a great welcome from staff, it was nice to be able to see planes coming in for landing throughout our seated area. And to top it off the all day breakfast was fantastic! Especially the poached eggs and apple juice ;)

Flew out of Liverpool Airport for a well deserved holiday with my family. We had a lovely meal and drinks served by a lovely member of staff in the kissing gate. Her customer service was 100% and attitude was fantastic her name was Sarah I believe. Well done keep up the great work.

On Sunday afternoon we visited kissing gate, I was greeted with a smile when waiting to be seated by a girl called Ella, She then gave us the choice of where we wanted to sit as there was 4 of us, we requested a booth and there was only one which had a few glasses on there so she got another lovely lad to clean and wipe the table, we struggled to order on the app so she explained and put the order through my phone. She was so polite and made our experience at the airport brilliant. Everytime she passed our table she asked if everything was okay. Customer service was brilliant. Will be visiting again! Ella was amazing!

I spent £4.69 on chips and what came out was equivalent to a sugar bowls worth. My daughter (a child) was hungry and that was all she wanted to eat. I couldn't bring myself to buy another bowl of chips at that price because its such BAD value. The photo on the menu is misleading and there's only one size available, this wasn't a child's portion. Its rubbish for travelling parents whose children are fussy eaters and just want a plain bowl of chips. Very poor value!

Staff were lovely which was the only upside! Genuinely the worst breakfast i’ve ever had. Paid £7 for a bacon sandwich that had 2 slithers of barely warm bacon on small slices of wholemeal bread (no option for white bread). Paid £4 for a bowl of chips which we counted and only had 13 chips in the bowl. Proper rip off.

Today I was flying out of Liverpool airport and decided to pop into the kissing gate on arrival I was greeted by a member of staff who was lovely and polite. I was seated by a window seat which was lovely because I hand a good view . I order 2 glasses of wine which came very quickly and was great quality. I also ordered a club sandwich with crisp which was also nice . Would highly recommend and will be coming again .

In these times where you always think about being cautious around the spread of COVID, this place was by far the cleanest and most friendly place to enjoy the perfect breakfast before our flight. Helpful staff and always smiling was the best service combination I could ask for. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic welcome from a young man who was cleaning the windows. He gave a wonderful smile and was happy to chat when I started talking to him. It was clear he was working diligently yet able to multitask and give great customer service. His name badge said he was Kyle. The bar staff were also very friendly and happily filled our water bottles. A great start to our holiday, thank you to your staff.

Had an exceptional experience today at kissing gate! Really happy with the service I received. Everybody had a lovely smile on their face and I am more than happy to return here when I fly again. Food was lovely and all my drinks were to a high quality standard. Sarah was really helpful with showing us how to order online :)

Came in with my son and husband and was greeted by a lovely young lad who then showed us to a table with a great view of the planes taking off, our son loved it. Prompt service at the bar and had a lovely chat with Emma, the young girl who brought us our food, she was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, all around an amazing start to our holiday so thank you to the staff!!

Special thanks to Beth today for her service, we really enjoyed our time there food was spot on and drinks great. Was very busy but Beth still found the time to make us feel so welcome checking on not only us but other customers too. What a lovely lady . Makes a big difference having staff that actually care that their customers are happy.

Stopped off here before going back to Belfast to have some breakfast. The food was really nice and at a good price. The staff where really friendly especially my waitress Harley. I will be travelling back and forth to Liverpool a lot so will definitely be stopping off at The Kissing Gate again👍🏻🙂

The best customer service I’ve received in a long time. The food and drink was perfect. The bar staff Katherine, Harley & Charley were an absolute delight, almost didn’t want to go on holiday so I could sit and chat with them, so welcoming.

Every single staff member looked so sad and miserable, the host greeted us with a huge sigh and not a smile in sight. If there was another choice, we wouldn’t have stayed to eat. Food when it came was actually pretty good, hot and fresh. What we can only presume was the manager (in a red top) came in and it was evident why everyone looked so miserable. She drank a coffee and slouched on the bar

Best location to spend your time before flight. Kind and involved stuff, fast and efficient service, especially noticed Kerry Anna and Sarah as extremely helpful. Good selection of food , amazing drinks comfortable sitting and amazing view. Nice choice of beers and drinks! Screens with departure time in the restaurant. Love the option of ordering to the table.

What a rubbish start to a holiday! The food was overpriced but it's an airport and it actually tasted OK. The service however was downright rude. Two girls brought items to our table. The first slammed two drinks down and walked off. The second slammed our food down and walked off. Neither said a word. No one came back to check if everything was OK. One of them actually said to the table next to us, you shouldn't have placed separate orders it makes me job harder - not in a jokey way. ETA almost 40 mins after writing this our dirty plates are still on the table.

Stopped here for breakfast and a pint prior to our early morning flight. Plenty of seating, mobile ordering, food was of good quality and service was great. Food delivered within ten minutes prior to 5am! Server was great too, very helpful. So far, a great experience at Liverpool airport compared to others (i.e., LHR and MAN)

Great place. Not to badly priced for the airport. Had a garden breakfast. And a veggie kids breakfast. Managed to get some substitutions as we don’t eat eggs. Would come back. Service was good. Food was good. Could probably just do with a few extras like mushrooms etc etc.
