The lady at the front desk with the blonde hair was racist in my opinion. The room she gave us had no balcony or microwave and was in a corner. When I went to ask her why we didn't have any of those features she claimed that due to staff shortages (which seems to be the new excuse for everyone now days) that all the rooms were not cleaned. That still doesn't explain why we couldn't get a microwave. Then she said we didn't request one. I then replied and told her my cousin (who is a white guy that was standing right next to me as I talked to her) had a room with a balcony a fridge and a microwave and he didn't request any of that but received all of that had better service than us (black people) she couldn't explain that to me especially seeing as how we both got our rooms online at the same time. I will never stay at this location again. When we stayed in Southfield we were treated way better than this. Terrible customer service and I definitely felt racially profiled.

I am more than disappointed that the courtyard chose to remove the hot tub from this location. We live close by and would use this hotel specifically for having a pool and hot tub where the whole family was accommodated. As a family we could enjoy time together, the kids could be in the pool and the parents in the hot tub. It is clean and Maintained well, another reason we chose this hotel. I just do not understand why you removed it for seating. There was plenty of seating all around and tables before. You may not have food or drinks in the pool area so added seating among many other reasons makes no sense. It's no longer full family friendly. The price of rooms has gone up while amenities are taken away. Very disappointing. I also would look up courtyards when I chose to travel as well. This makes me think to look else where while booking and it's such a bummer. I was a fan of this hotel. I would also recommend updating your website as it is still advertised as having a hot tub

A few positives were that the front desk associate (at check in) was very kind and had nice things to say. The room seemed very comfortable and nice as well. The beds were comfortable. However, the light next to the bed did not work. The pool was COLD for being an indoor pool. There were small black hairs around and on the bathroom door.. kind of gross. The thing that disappointed us most about our stay was the how deceiving this location was about breakfast. At check in, the front desk associate mentioned "breakfast is at 6am" - as if it was complimentary. The next morning we went down for breakfast, which looked like most breakfasts that are complimentary. The red flag SHOULD have been that we were greeted by a server saying we are welcome to sit wherever and she can bring us coffee. Your usual coffee, juices, oatmeal, eggs, etc. were on display. We then noticed biscuits and gravy (a fan fav.) which was the next red flag we SHOULD take note to. Not many "complimentary" breakfasts have this. Just before finishing our meals, the server brings a receipt for $36! - Basically without telling us that breakfast was $18/person. She only brought us a coffee and took our plates. NO ONE and NOWHERE said that this breakfast was $18/person and the front desk at check in stating the time gave an impression that breakfast was included with our room. When we complained about this to the front desk after breakfast, she said "you should've looked at your check in confirmation to see if it was included". This was irrelevant. The price of the room was of one that typically includes it but telling us breakfast is "at 6am" deceives us to believe it is included. So we packed up and went to check out. I let them know maybe it would be best to display the prices of breakfast for guests to be aware of rather than surprising them with a receipt. I can get a more quality breakfast at a restaurant for CHEAPER than $18 and what they provided at this small buffet. Overall, not the best stay I have had just simply because they seemed to care more about the dollar than the guest/customer!

Water was off both days. When it came back on, the hot water in our room then didn’t work. They did landscaping in the courtyard from 8am to 5pm one of the days we stayed (I worked third shift the night before so this was a real issue for us) and “fixed” the hotel’s water on the other days, meaning it was shut off all day long, both days. We just wanted to sleep and bathe, we were in town for hospital appointments, afterall that’s what a hotel is for isn’t it??? And we could do neither… for THE ENTIRE STAY. No compensation apart from a free breakfast voucher was offered and now I am fighting with Hotwire trying to get a refund still… two weeks later! Avoid avoid avoid at all costs!

on Google We made a reservation at this hotel and the dates got mixed up on their end. We did not catch it til later. We called the hotel to change it to the correct dates. The hotel refuses to help or change the dates. They say there is nothing they can do. The hotel has availability too. We selected the ability to change dates too when we made our reservation. They are not understanding, not helpful and rude. I have Never dealt with a company that refuses to help their guests. We will end up eating the money for the stay. We will not book the Courtyard ever again.

Comfortable beds, quiet, super helpful and friendly staff [Ashley at the front desk, the manager, Denise the housekeeping manager, the ladies at the Bistro breakfast place]. It is in the same general parking lot as a nice indoor Mall, a Panera, conveniently located near I-275 and I-96, very comfortable lobby and outdoor courtyard for hanging out with friends, or even meeting other guests.

My stay at Courtyard Livonia was a complete disappointment. The ongoing renovations and limited parking were frustrating. My room wasn't cleaned on the second day, and when I left belongings behind, the staff's unresponsiveness was infuriating. It took them days to respond, only to claim my items were never found which I am very certain that it was left in a room. A highly unsatisfactory experience.

Front desk is excellent! Management handled guests during the remodel well! I stay at this property 3 to 4 times a year. The housekeepers take great care of guests. Livonia Courtyard is my “home away from home”.

I can’t thank the entire staff enough for the amazing experience this weekend 7/29-7/30! My only regret is not getting everyone’s names to thank them individually. We stayed here after being out of power for a few days due to the storms we had last week. The hotel was full and busy because so many people were out of power but they made sure to make everyone feel right at home. Everyone asked me if I needed anything and helped without making me feel like a bother. My week was rough and stressful. Thank you for making me feel comfortable for a night! You have no idea how much I needed it! The room was clean, the pool was clean, and they laundry facilities were clean! Super clean and a kind staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I will be back in the future! Thank you with all my heart! 🙂

My husband had utterly disheartening experience at Courtyard Livonia. During his two-day stay, he encountered a barrage of disappointments. The ongoing renovations made the atmosphere less than welcoming, and the limited parking space only added to the frustration. What truly soured his experience, however, was the abysmal staff service. On the second day, his room went uncleaned, a clear lapse in their duties. The worst part was the handling of his belongings post-checkout. Despite repeated calls, the receptionist repeatedly assured me they would investigate, only to never follow through direct calls. They looked into matter after raising a complaint on a portal but it took an excruciatingly slow 2-3 days to respond to his complaint, only to claim they couldn't locate his lost items. It boggles the mind that it took them that long to "look" for something he is certain was left in my room. Courtyard Livonia's staff showed a shocking lack of responsibility and responsiveness, an experience that left me deeply disillusioned. Our expectations were far higher, and this stay was a colossal letdown.

I've stayed here several times as a holdover before going to DTW for early flights. Staff has been wonderfully accommodating of my odd arrival and departure times, even offering to make coffee or other things to have ready for me in the lobby for 4am checkouts. Location is close to anything you'd need for a short stay in the area.

We were visiting relatives and stayed 2 nights. This is our second stay. The room was nice, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the location is close to services and the freeway.

Housekeeping were very rude when we checked out, it was only 11 and they were demanding us to hurry up and get out the room so they could clean it. Rooms are old and they trick you into thinking it's a modern hotel by the lobby, allthough had a pleasant stay, and the bistro had very good food.

Changed hotel reservation to stay here after a terrible start at the Residence Inn down the street. Dawn was fantastic and our stay was lovely. No microwave in the room but told us she’d be happy to send one up if needed (we didn’t). Breakfast isn’t included but I’ve never seen a non-buffet breakfast included. Room was clean, hotel was quiet. Pool isn’t heated which is a bummer but not a dealbreaker. Would stay again!

Amazing customer service!!! Had a 2 night stay over the weekend with my 2 girls. Very impressed with the customer service at this location. The front desk girls (one was Melissa I think) were so friendly and helpful. The Bistro bartender and the Starbucks barista were also very friendly, and that goes a long way these days. Our room had a comfortable atmosphere and the bed was just as comfortable. The pool had a really nice temperature and was well maintained. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We picked this hotel over several much cheaper ones in the area because it says on their website that there's a hot tub. There's also pics online showing a hot tub next to the pool, yet there was no hot tub. Pretty bummed that we didn't get the main amenity we went for. Also, check out was at noon, but housekeeping began knocking on our door and entering our room at 10am while we were still in bed, then knocked and tried entering again at 11.

Pool was COLD. I was sad that they don’t offer free breakfast or even lobby coffee. Oh and they cut off the room keys a half hour before checkout making a trip to the desk for reactivating necessary. Other than that the rooms and service were top notch. Great assistance with lost items, I really wish the pool was warmer and they didn’t remove the hot tub.

Stayed here for wedding event. Shuttle to the wedding ceremony. Everyone was friendly and accomodating. Rooms were very clean. Bed was so very comfortable. No concerns. Check in and check out were both done with ease.
