Classy restaurant in Lubiana, cool cocktails and carefully selected meat and fish. Prices on average and quick service.

Once upon a time, AS was one of the best restaurants where locals went for quality food and company. Today it is only a shadow of what it once was. It's frustrating to see empty tables that you sometimes couldn't get. I prefer not to write about the service and the employees so as not to cause more harm to them.

Arrived at 8.40pm on Friday 31/03/23 and was given a table straight away for 2. Then after immediately giving us a jug of water, nobody came to the table for 40 mins to take any drinks order yet alone any food order. So after 40 mins, I stood at the bar for another 20 mins in order to “get a drink”. My friend left after an hour to go home as he didn’t believe we’d get served either food or drink. Staff clearly don’t have the capacity to serve the number of diners in this restaurant. The staff looked wholeheartedly stressed. Thoroughly poor service. One particular waitress with long blonde hair (photoed) was especially rude and clearly unable to handle her workload. A different waiter tried to diffuse the lack of service by offering me a free drink to compensate for the poor service (a margarita where they forgot the salted rim!). I reluctantly accepted - a free drink is after all a free drink. The only person who was doing a decent job was the mixologist/bartender making all the complicated drinks behind the bar. He was just completely let down by his front of house and management who were completely absent throughout. Then I sat down again about 9.45pm and finally ordered some food. I ordered a fillet steak with salad on the side. The salad arrived quickly and the steak was nowhere to be seen. I clearly explained I wanted fillet steak with salad at the same time. The salad was taken away. The steak (and the same salad) finally arrived a little while later. I had ordered the fillet steak rare but it was more like medium (the middle wasn’t red). I didn’t bother complaining at this point. This clearly wasn’t a restaurant where they can cook steak to the customer’s preference. As a tourist in Ljubljana, I can say that this is a poorly run restaurant. The quality of the food was fine. The service was abysmal. I left about 22:40

Excellent experience. Very nice staff, good quality food, great wine and very nice vibe. Special appreciation for the wonderful Cuban employees that made me feel at home!

It is really good restaurant for privat and for business. Food is good, staff is nice but little slow. I gave them 4 stars because one time (I was here for business many times) happened that they forget to wrote down our reservation. They solved it, but we weren't siting where we reserved. Restaurant has high prices, good booze, meat and fish menus,...

Exelent place but a bit expensive for what you have in your plate. This will be the only negative point. Because the food is good and me and friend have enjoyed the moment in that restaurant.

I wisit this place few times a year. Yesterday I came with friend and we ordered as i order usually. We ordered Open wine 4 glasses of malvazija and san daniel prosciutto plate. There was some shrinkflation. less prosciutto, less bread. And the prices are so high that i was there probably last time.

So this place has to sections to it- the actual Aperitivo bar and the restaurant. I dined at the restaurant last night which is someone what famous is Ljubljana and a must try. The service was excellent and the local wine was superb. Here are a few of the dishes I had. The carpaccio is definitely worth trying. The ribeye was very good but you can get a good ribeye anywhere. And finally the strawberry cake was delicious.

We dined here last weekend The restaurant was dreadfully under staffed. That is not a fault of the hard workers that were there - they just weren’t enough of them to cater to the guests (restaurant was also only half full) One loud/rude guest sat in the corner table all night with 3/4 others and continued to shout across the entire restaurant He treated the place like his own home and intimidated wait staff and other guests The food was just okay - won’t be recommending

Very nice food, friendly staff and nicely decorated. There is an 'old' part of the restaurant as well as a modern part so it will suit everyone's preferences. Price is a bit on the higher side.

Place is something you need to visit especially if you have some colleagues on visit - a lot of different food/drinks/sweets you can try and there prices are not so high as you can think from the outside as it looks really upscale. For sure you will love this place, fully recommend

The waiters are the highlight of this restaurant - immaculate service. 5 stars! And also, a special shout-out to Zahar. A top waiter who goes above and beyond to help

Great food 😋. Expensive but the quality is high level. There are minor drawbacks as anywhere, though overall experience is good 👍

Trendy place where you'll always find some nice food, excellent drinks and good parties on any given Friday. We had a great time celebrating New Year's there. The only thing the menu requires is a few more options for vegetarians.

Food was delicious, waiters very friendly and we really enjoyed that there was a live DJ to bring some fun during dinner. The only downside (depends how you see it) is that the place would be great for cocktails after dinner but the everyone started to leave at 22.00 even though it was still open.

We had an approved Reservation at AS Aperitivo, but the Restaurant was overbooked ( at least the waiter told us so) Without an apology the waiter wanted us to go to the other Restaurant which also belongs to the AS Hotel what we did not want. No apology, very arrogant Team, without even trying to find a good solution.
