Great location. Very modern and safe. The best part: a top notch gym! Equipment in excellent condition, better than any professional gym I've seen and far above any hotel gym. Plus infrared and Finnish saunas, Steam room ( could be a bit warmer) and jacuzzi & pool combo. You swim overlooking the big part of the country of Slovenia:-). Better than site seeing!

Small lobby, rooms are adequate size, clean and good arrangement. Great secruity as room key is necessary to reach the floor you're staying. Has a good spa and breakfast buffet. No on site lunch. Complimentary sauna, swimming pool, hot tub and gym. Breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had in a hotel recently.

I’ve been traveling for a long time and have visited a lot of hotels, but this one surprised me with beautiful and mesmerizing views from all the entertainment areas and from my room! Workers in all areas are friendly and devote themselves to their work completely. I'll definitely be back!

It is one of the few 5-star hotels in Ljubljana. Our room is clean, spacious, modern, and feels luxurious with a great view of the city. The breakfast and in-room service is great and delicious. The location is great and close to the main railway and bus station. We didn't get a chance to use the indoor pool

Excellent location and rooms! The people at the frontdesk were amazing! The rooms really nice and spacious. Close to the city center (10 min walking) The only thing I did not like 100% was the service at the restaurant where we had breakfast.

Everything was wonderful about this hotel. Worth every penny! The staff was very friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable. The bathroom with both bath and shower are particularly impressive. The location is great. Easy walk to the city center. The Michelin restaurant on the 20th floor offers a magnificent view of Ljubljana and delicious food. The breakfast was also very good. It has a lot of choices both buffet and à la carte. The valet parking was also very convenient. The only opportunity would be that they charged us 30€ for an extra bed for our son. I wish it could be included.

As a business traveler, I can safely say that this is not a 5 star hotel. The hotel was nice, clean, and in a good location with lots to do around it. The rooms were spacious. The staff spoke English. The breakfast buffet was good and the service at the breakfast buffet was excellent. There was nothing 5 star or exceptional about the rest of the staff or the hotel amenities. The service at the bar was generally slow and unfriendly. The concierge was unreliable although he did get me connected with one of the best combined drivers/tour guides I have ever had anywhere. The hotel was skimpy on the towels with only 2 each day and had large, communal bodies of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion that was of low quality. The air conditioner was grossly inadequate for the room, which was constantly hot and stuffy. The windows do not open. The shower was awkwardly designed where you could not put the mat outside the door. The shower would also leak water out into the bathroom. The rooms have a bizarre bedet feature on the toilet that could not be used without soaking yourself and getting water every where. They had no restaurant open for lunch on Saturday afternoon. They inexplicably closed the bar at 1:00 am on the night of the Iron Maiden concert when it was full with about 40 guests of the hotel, 2 members of the band, and various crew members. Disappointing to say the least. 3 star hotel at a 5 star price.

Had a great stay at the IC. Nice quiet room. Good food at the restaurant and nice original drinks at the bar. They did a great job organizing our transfer to the airport with a stop at lake Bled.

Nice hotel and good food, however we booked through American Express Fine Hotel and Resorts and did not get an upgrade despite tons of open availability which I was able to see in the app. I would understand if the hotel was busy, however it was pretty empty this particular night and at least we could’ve been placed on a higher floor instead of the 3rd floor with no view. The man who checked us in wasn’t particularly friendly, however the woman who checked me out the next day was great.

Great location. Quick and smooth check-in process. Great staff. A comfortable, spacious and clean corner room on the upper floor with panoramic view of the beautiful city. The real surprise was our dinner at the restaurant on the 20th floor. Normally, hotel dishes are mediocre and overpriced so we didn't expect much. When we got our dishes, we were literally blown away. My husband had THE BEST lamp chop at InterContinental Ljubljana and my lobster pasta and the octopus appetizer were equally amazing. Two cocktails were delicious, too. We had such a pleasant stay.

I feel as though I can review with authority hotels of various categories and have stayed in many for various lengths of time all over the world. Sometimes I stay at Intercontinental and they have a reputation of consistency of the highest caliber. My stay at this hotel was the best I’ve ever experienced. The hotel staff made every sincere effort to make it this way. I’d like to give an honorable mention to the front desk staff Ermina and Angela who were genuinely great people. There were others as well, but I don’t have their names. I had access to the club lounge and the attendant there was also great. The breakfast was second to none. But that’s not all. The hotel is as modern and well designed as any I’ve ever been to. The room we stayed in was amazing and it was a normal room. I could only use my imagination on what a suite would be like and I’m certain it would be suitable for a monarchy or the Pope who would likely be within a fingers length of touching god’s hand if ever he stays there. The roof bar and restaurant and pool area offered incredible views of the city and surrounding area as far as the eye could see. It’s location to the old town and train station couldn’t be closer. I could continue on and on but enough has been written as I now fear that people from all over will discover this place and experience the same exceptional hotel thus preventing me from have any available access to it every again. In closing I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Intercontinental and its staff for a stay I will never ever forget.

Excellent stay, as spire ambassador got upgraded to club room. Great location and very comfortable bed. Only the breakfast was a little disappointing, it was the most boring international/English breakfast spread with nothing local to Slovenia.

I recently stayed at InterContinental Ljubljana and had an amazing experience! The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay truly memorable. The restaurant and room service were both fantastic, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ljubljana. We are on a 2 week trip through Croatia and Slovenia. This hotel so far is the best because it is new, modern, with very well designed spacious room. We are seasoned travelers and some 5 star old world grand hotels are too outdated, and some modern new 5 star hotels are badly designed. This one strikes a great balance. It is about 12 min walk to the old town, convenient enough.

We had such a great time in this hotel. The breakfast was by far the most delicious buffet that we’ve ever had at a hotel with plenty of healthy and delicious local options. The rooms were outstanding with the upgrades, cleanness and all the little touches. The service was so warm and welcoming. The sauna was such a nice bonus. We got to enjoy the sauna while our daughter got to enjoy the hot tub right in front of us, so we could see her the whole time. My only suggestion would be to only allow kids to come in company of their parents in order to avoid crazy behavior that we encountered from some other unattended kids. We are looking forward to be back soon. Thank you for having us! 🙏

Really enjoyed this hotel. Short walk from old town area. Upgraded to a corner view room. Dinner on the rooftop was excellent, as was breakfast. Sauna and pool were great, and the hotel staff were wonderful.

Came for a weekend girls trip with my friends and had an amazing experience! Everything was clean and well-organised. The hotel has a perfect location and amazing facilities. The spa was really really good!! Will definitely come back:))

Great location, very polite and helpful staff. Hotel is clean and well decorated. Spa was amazing with views to die for! I loved quality of treatments in cosmetic salon - massage, manicure and pedicure. But you have to book it in advance. Restaurant is also very good. Food is delicious, service is fast and on the high level.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful, very nice rooms, great facilities and a lovely restaurant on the top (20th) floor. Easy to get to the rest of Ljubljana centre sights within reasonable walking distance (<10 mins). Great view from the restaurant of the castle (when it's not foggy)

Excellent location, excellent service by hotel staff. I chose the breakfast and dinner meal plan and the food was delicious and amazing in quality. My room and bath was large, clean, and beautiful. As a single traveler, the staff helped me sign up for local tours, museums, concerts and shopping. I would return here anytime. Most people in Lubljana speak English which makes travel there a really enjoyable experience.

An incredibly helpful team at front reception. They helped our every need and were very responsive by email. The room, twin superior, was massive. I could easily spend longer there. The views from the roof terrace are amazing. I would definitely go back.

Great modern hotel. We had a very large and comfortable room with big windows, a luxury bathroom with bathtub and rain shower. Absolute highlight was the spa area with swimming pool, sauna area and whirlpool, plus the view over Ljubljana. The breakfast offered a wide selection and was extremely tasty. The breakfast room and the roof terrace offer a great view over the city.

A lovely, modern hotel in an easy to reach location and only 5 minutes walk from the old town. A very pleasant experience from dropping the car off to be parked, check-in, info about the town through to breakfast and beyond. The hotel room was amazing with great views through floor to ceiling windows and the quality of it all more than met our expectations. I would highly recommend!

Had an amazing stay. Spotlessly clean. Great rooms, very courteous and helpful staff. Was here for my birthday weekend and the hotel definitely added charm to the occasion. Would 100% recommend a stay here.

Lovely hotel rooms. The service was not what I expected in a 5 star hotel however. Complaints were raised on check out and we did get a bit of money off our bill. We got a menu for breakfast one day then it wasn't available the next day and we just had to use the buffet. I wish we had been told of this change. A lack of cleansing products and toilet roll in the pool changing area was a disgrace and having to wait whilst the staff member was on her phone to deal with the issue was unacceptable. Not being able to buy a beer on new year's eve unless we paid over €20 to get in to the bar was disappointing. We only wanted a beer for the room. The fact we were charged for some of our breakfasts but weren't made aware was and icing on the cake. I would go elsewhere next time as it wasn't 5 star service but we paid 5 star prices.

We stayed at this hotel 5 nights in March 2022. We really really loved it. The staff were most kind and helpful. The bathroom was incredible and breakfast was as good as you would expect at a 5-star hotel. The only awkward thing was having to grant them permission to clean the room. Otherwise, near to perfect

Tremendous location, roof top bar, incredible views of the mountains and staff superb. We've had some issues with a car so need to stay an extra night. It was organised in a few minutes. They also offered help with the car garage. Pool small but great.

Very good rooms, great service and the location is pretty good. And they have a michelin star restaurant at the last floor with a very nice view The pool is quite small but serves the need for a quick dip. Try to avoid the rooms under the hot tub and pool if you don't like constant humming or deep suppressed water jet sound, something like very annoying white noise

Lovely hotel, we had a gorgeous room with views to the castle which you also get from the spa and at breakfast. The staff were very welcoming and always on hand to help. Nina especially went out of her way to make sure our stay was special. Thank you!

Stayed for a weekend in September. Rooms are very large and beautiful, the view is great and the bed is very comfortable. There's a bar and the restaurant at the top with the gorgeous view as well. Pool, sauna and jacuzzi are clean. Hotel staff are very friendly and nice. They offer valet parking. However, there was some dust in our room which I understand can happen but we also got a stained coffee cup which spoiled the whole impression.

Beautiful, stylish, clean hotel with an amazing vibe and style. The hotel stuff is very polite and very well organized and knowledgeable. Loved their B restaurant recommended by the Michelin guide. I would definitely stay at this hotel when back in Ljubljana.

The presidential suite is very nice with great views and lots of space but the steam room didn't work and overall it felt a little tired. Food in the restaurant was not good enough - short menu, and it was bland. Good gym with reasonable range of equipment and good views. Seating options at the bar are bad with nowhere comfortable to sit, only high stools or stupidly big sofas more like beds. There is an underground car park right across the road. Great location with an easy 10 minute walk to the old town.
