Really impressed with the Central Hotel. Very clean and the room and bathroom facilities were great. Really nice rain shower which was so nice! Check in at reception is on the top floor which was different to the usual bottom floor. The hotel is located just a 5 minute walk from the bus station and the train station. It is also very close to the city center and about a 10 minute walk to the Ljubljana Castle. The staff were very friendly and explained everything we wanted to know and gave us a complementary Central Hotel branded aluminium water bottle! The cafe on the ground floor had a lovely breakfast menu!

Wonderful place, but honestly this morning the Miss, wich one was working on the reception was treated me very badly, without respect, excuse me everyone but we are take a choice what we will to work, work like reception or something else needed to be more amable, because not everyone can repite one thing 10 ways, for hotel of that rang that it's disappointing...

I would kindly advice hotel management to organize training for the staff at reception for professional conduct and behavior (especially to a gentleman posing as a DJ). My advice for him would be to stop being condescending towards the guest and be more forthcoming (for example when he was asked where the breakfast was served, he did not even try to explain exact location, this is just one example of his inertness). Also, this hotel is only hotel, where I slept, that charges tourist tax separately after paying service on online travel agency. I made reservation on Agoda and, me and agency, both thought that all taxes and fees are included in price, but you charged addititional fees on the spot, for which agency did not know about (they refund the money that I paid for tourist taxes btw), so for me personally that feels like a cheating. On the positive side, breakfast is great. I hope you will understand my review as a constructive critique in order to improve the stay of future guests.

Nice hotel/hostel near the city center. Interesting hi-tech concept of capsules , but not so comfortable.

The rooms are nice, modern and always well cleaned. However there are no cabinets or whatsoever to store any clothes except for a few clothes hangers, so maybe good for a short weekend trip, but not longer. Also, the toilets have just a sliding glass door which does not completely seal it. Also, breakfast is no longer served at the hotel. There are some great places for brunch nearby though

It was quick but it was an amazing experience. Thank you to the staff for an awesome customer service. One of the reasons i will come back to Slovenia. Till next time.

Very cool and original hostel! We stayed in the tents, which are wooden huts on the terrace, so you are acutally sleeping on the roof of the building. The only problem is that the tents get really warm during the summer and the ventilation doesn't work that well. We solved by leaving the tent door open! Besides this I suggest they forbid smoking on this part of the terrace, so that the guests staying there won't be bothered by the smell of sigarettes. The facilities were all clean and easily accessible. The only problem was that the shower drain was clogged up. We didn't use the other facilities like the kitchen and common area, but they all seemed clean and big! Overall it was a very nice stay! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Bonus is that the location perfect and it was a short walk to the city center!

Room very clean, new. Very kind staff. The only thing is, the windows they let out all the noise. You could hear everything from outside and it felt like you were standing on the street. Breakfast was good, but lacked a sweet breakfast option. We were given a choice of 4 options on the menu. But nice stay:-) deff worth for the money. Original reception on the 7th floor

Cool and fresh hotel. A little difficult to find because the reception is on the 6th floor and there is only one elevator waiting for you after the entrance. The room was very clean, quiet and the breakfast was appropriate for the three stars. At the bar you could only pay in cash. Very hardworking and friendly staff.

We slept in the "capsules" and we liked the concept However, you should not be afraid of enclosed spaces!

A combination of youth hostel and hotel resulting in rather expensive room rates and bad quality breakfast and rather unsanitary conditions. My colleague's room had an ants infestation for example. Rooms are designed in a refreshing way, but allowing for "bulk" treatment while the place seems understaffed to manage this properly.

Great location, clean rooms. I was trying to get an iron for two days but they only had one so they couldn’t find it and that was it, seemed to me like they didn’t bother too much about that. Breakfast awful, you can only choose eggs or ham or vegetables, never seen that kind of breakfast. Either you give people breakfast or you don’t

Great receptionist staff who were really helpful, bigger than expected rooms in 301 & 201 . Rooms nicely decorated with comfortable beds, great shower and plenty of plugs sockets.. 10 mins walk into the centre .. Car park expensive but you can park on the street for free 19.00-7.00 and then download the app to extend your stay into the day.. Only downside was Beakfast which was in the cafe downstair and consisted of bread or croissants, tea & coffee and juice… you then had a choice of one of fried eggs, scrambled eggs or meat and cheese selection.. fairly poor selection versus the rest of the operation.. I would stay again.. just get breakfast somewhere else!.

Great modern Business Hotel with all the amenities you need and friendly staff. Very clean room and comfortable beds. Less than 10 minutes walk to the main square in the old town. Parking garage right next door (convenient parking location, but rather expensive to park there). Will definitely stay there again.

Postives: Good location in the city centre. Very clean rooms. Facilities are quite new or at least very well taken care of. Friendly staff. Nice rooftop bar. Comfy beds and pillows. Big rooms. Negatives: The hotel is more a youth hostel. This is not a bad thing as such, but not what I expected. Reception is at the last floor with the bar, which means slightly longer waiting time for check in-out or getting coffee in the morning. No breakfast as such offered, as it is only available at a neighbouring pastry shop on the ground floor. The toilet and shower are only separated from the room by a sliding glass door, which provides little intimacy (I was alone and it was not much of an issue, but would have disliked it a lot if I travelled with my partner, for instance). There were no glasses/cups in the room and no minibar. If you need anything, you have to get it from the bar that closes at 10.

There are several points to criticize: - breakfast is not worth it if you have to pay extra for it (15 € per person is definitely too overpriced) - staff at the café is not really friendly and also not really motivated. Lack of food selection and quality. - staff at the hotel is friendly but stressed due to the lack of employees at the front desk: they have to do check-in and drinks at the same time, sometimes there is just one person working. (Management should make sure that there is more staff to ensure the service level of a four star hotel which is definitely not the case at the moment) - reception on the 7th floor: would be better to be downstairs. You are not allowed to use staircases which I don't understand, so you always need to wait for an available elevator. Positive aspects: - hotel room and comfortable beds - located closed to the city center/old town/train station

If breakfast in the hotel is important for you I cannot recommend this place. It's rather a joke than a real meal. First of all you can chose only one worm meal which isn't very good. Secondly the buffet is croissants, some bread, quasi-Nutella, jam, no ham or cheese. Finally the service was the worst - mad at the world and unfortunately, is taking it out on you. One feels there like an uninvited guest. What is more they have not their own parking but a city one, very expensive, which cost 25 € per 24h.

Honestly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in years. The man who checked me in today was an absolute hero and credit to the hôtelier profession. I wish he would go to Italy and become the minister of hotels for the country. The facilities are incredible, as is the breakfast. The roof terrace is immense. They undersell this place on the website. It’s better than a 3 star by miles. The beds are comfy. Maybe too comfy...

A bit like a hostel type of place but nice. Rooms a bit small but newly renovated and very fresh. Location is great just by the train/bus station and a short walk to the centre of town.
