An apsolutely lovely place with delicios food. And it's quite cheap too. Staff was very nice and friendly and guided me through their menu. I ordered lunch menu(12€), that includes soup, main dish(meat or vegetarian) and a small salad. Portions are big and the food is super delicious. It's not that far from the city center (5-10 minutes walk).

If we could give the food 10 stars we would — tucked away in an unassuming neighborhood, cute ambiance, and is by far the best meal we’ve had in Ljubljana. The staff went out of their way to accommodate an outside seating. All parts of the meal — appetizers, dinner, and dessert were phenomenal!! Gnocchi is a must and the beef tagliata was the biggest happy surprise. Chocolate mousse was divine.

We enjoyed this hidden gem so much we went back two more times during our brief stay in Ljubljana. The food is simply fantastic, prepared with care and topped with a friendly yet efficient service. If you come for the weekday set lunch, the value is simply unbeatable! We ate a meal that surpass some Michelin starred restaurants we recently dined in, for less than 10 euros a person!

A very comfortable place, not far away from the road but quite enough, the food is nice. i prefer the pasta with mushroom, the "Skofu" beefstake is kind of special, a bit spicy, just pitty that the pepper is over cook that bring along some bitter taste. Anyhow it is worth to try. Recommend outdoor seat!

Good restaurant in a back street surrounded by local houses. Many of the houses have been re-built so there is a lot of interesting architecture to admire. We sat outside and if you do come in the middle of summer remember there are a few mosquitoes about that would like to join your party. Thankfully the restaurant supplies mosquito repellent. Good efficient service with a smile and food that was fresh and tasty without costing an arm and a leg.

What a fantastic place! Definitely the best beefsteak in town. Had it with a glass of a very good merlot house wine ( also a must ). Excellent and very friendly service. We'll be back before long to try some fish, which also looked delicious on the menu. It is one of the little places that everybody knows but doesn't share the knowledge about - just a hidden gem you have to discover by yourself. Well done and good luck. Photos next time...

The food was delicious and Zara, our server was very helpful in picking out our entrées. The food was fresh, well prepared and excellent. My husband had the pork and couldn't say enough good things about! I had the pasta and chicken and it was perfect! The dessert was outstanding! The mousse was decadent and yet light. And the cranberry was delightful! Highly recommend this quiet, out of the main area restaurant!! Zara is an excellent hostess!

Arrived late and were warmly greeted. Had the octopus, two pastas and two glasses of the house red. Totalled €41 which is great value. The octopus was delicious, the homemade pasta was very fresh but simple.

The best dinner we had in Ljubljana. We were looking for a place away from the over priced tourist section of of town that had good Slovenian food & luckily this place is not too far off the beaten path. Some the highlights from our dinner included: a vegan tartar that was a dense purée of red lentils, sun dried tomatoes & spices; homemade carrot soup (no cream or butter); and a porcini mushroom & roasted buckwheat groat-like risotto. Family run restaurant that changes the menu depending what they can get locally at farmers market. Very friendly staff is added extra bonus. Outstanding in every in way😎

Amazing food and service. We went on a rainy day and we were completely alone. The waiter was very nice and we followed her recommendations. It was our first lunch in Slovenia, and the best by far. We wanted to repeat the next Saturday but it was completely full.

We were a party of four for dinner. The food was interesting and delicious. There were several vegetarian options. Our waitress was friendly and she gave good suggestions for wine and food. The atmosphere was very nice.

Nice spot. Very friendly staff. Had the sea bream fish plate and it was great; much better than sea bass. Also had soup and mushroom pasta that were delicious

A quiet little restaurant just outside the city center in a lovely residential lane. My husband had the filet with cognac sauce and I had the Chicken. Both were delicious as was the homenade chocolate mousse with fresh cream. Even the bread was good. And the waitress could not have been any nicer. She was very kind and helpful. I am even thinking of returning for the pasta which looked very tasty.

Beautiful quiet area, well worth the walk out of the main town. The staff were very friendly and the food was great quality. It's a perfect place to visit in summer, when you can sit outside and enjoy the peaceful, green surrounds.

Amazing place. I would never expect that such inconspicuous restaurant located in side street can offer such great taste experience. Family owned with great service. Duck carpaccio and sirloin with truffles had made my day!

I found Pri Škofu by chance and it was a real discovery. The restaurant offers several options for vegetarians, I had the soup of the day (an excellent tomato soup) and the lentil and sun-dried tomato tartare, a real treat. The house wine was excellent and so was the bread. Unfortunately I was full and did not try the desserts, but given the premise they must have been very good. Since it started raining shortly after my arrival, I moved inside, which I found to be very nice. Finally, the prices are terribly fair. If all this were not enough, the staff is fantastic: I was lucky enough to meet two caring, friendly, and sweet women, from whom I learnt that it is a family-run restaurant. Which did not surprise me, given the cosy and warm atmosphere. This restaurant won my heart and, if it is true that home is where heart is, I can say that I have found a place to call home in Ljubljana.

The food is amazing. I had the Beefsteak Skof, the meat was of amazing quality and very tasty. Cooked to perfect medium rare, as ordered. Selection of desserts was tasty as well. Recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Ljubljana or wanting to have a nice dinner.

Cosy, lovely meal. Excellent service from the young man who served us, great value for money, full 3 course for less than 25 euros. House white wine was great. Fully recommend!

The staff is very helpful and extremely friendly. The soups of the day are just delicious, the homemade pasta and gnocchis are just amazing, there desert are just what you need to finish your evening. I will come back the next time I'll be in Ljubjana !

We ate here with a group of five friends and were warmly welcomed by the staff. We enjoyed the food very much, especially the pasta and gnocchi dishes were excellent!
