Amazing restaurant! It was quite crowded when we arrived so we got a small table in the back. The server was so nice and helpful, we felt really comfortable. Food was very affordable and delicious. Will come back when I‘m in Ljubljana again!

Absolutely the best meal I've had in a very long time. The food is abundant and delicious. We had the Meat Plate, meat rolls, sausages steak with tomato sauce, cream cheese, onion and pepper, with a dish of bean stew and delicious Bosnian bread. All fabulous. House wines and beers were great too. Service, despite being packed, was quick and cheerful. Wish we had found this place first night in Ljubljana! Oh, and super cheap too. Huge meal and at least 9 drinks was 60 euros. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

It is a very authentic restaurant in the Ljubljana old town. Their chicken soup and cevapcici is super delicious . If you are in the Ljubljana and trying to figure out what to eat just stop thinking and go eat at Sarajevo ‘84.

Amazing experience. Really good atmosphere, feels homey. The place gives special kind of comfort, the staff is excellent and they approach you immediately given the big crowds. The food is a 15/10. Highly recommended. Little Bosnia in Slovenia.

Had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. We particularly loved the beef stew! The prices were also super affordable which surprised me. Additionally, the waitress was very kind and helpful, she even advised us on the huge portion size so we would not over order haha. I would definitely recommend this place :-)

Great place! I went with a group of 16 friends from Malta. We are Water Polo Masters Team, so we are quite a noisy, but friendly bunch, but we found an even noisier group from Denmark who were on a student exchange. But we really created a great environment between us. We were singing and enjoying each other's traditions. The food was excellent and abundant, service was great and friendly.

Amazing, tasty unique Slovenian flavours. It’s not posh but simply great place to sit and enjoy good dishes. Service was great, place in central of Ljiubjana, I wish they would have more tables outside.

Staff were amazing. Unfortunately I cannot remember their names. We were greeted warmly, seated at the bar until a table became available. Bar staff took time to talk to us and answer questions even though they were clearly very busy. We received tasters of local spirits while we waited. We all had a fantastic time.

Hearty and very tasty portions, very polite staff, ready to explain all the complexities of dishes, fast serving, cosy atmosphere, good value for money - what else do you need? Everything was fresh and tasty. If you are around, it's a place to go for a lengthy lunch or a dinner that will only require a quality tufahija to top it off (also served in this establishment!). Will certainly return!

A very interesting Bosnian restaurant in Ljubljana, with a nostalgia atmosphere to Yugoslavia period. That's why there is the reference to the 1984 Winter Olympics, and the decoration with old Yugoslav photos and videos. Excellent grilled dishes and its own beer.

At the beginning I thought it’s just gonna be ordinary grills but NO it went totally beyond my expectation. The grilled meat is tender while being nicely chewy, and you feel the juice exploding on your palate… the staff are so friendly and speak perfect English. Con: not solo-traveler friendly because the portion is HUGE. Strongly recommended!!

Excellent restaurant! looks like a very traditional pub! There's a waiting queue but it's worth it... the food is excellent!! fair price, tasty and plentiful food! 1 main course with two beers was 17 euros! EDIT: I was so happy with the food, the price and the place that I have eaten again in the next day! We had chosen the traditional plate “Sarajevo 84” with 1 beer… one plate was enough for 3 people and we’ve paid 15 euros!! Definitely you should go!

This was our first experience with Bosnian food, and it was a great one! Loved the meat platter we had, super filling. The service was warm and inviting , and we enjoyed the decor and underground vibes it had, especially since it’s an underground restaurant.

Phenomenal Bosnian food and friendly service, super reasonable prices (especially for this touristic area), and cozy tavern-like atmosphere. I got the beef stew and wine for under 10 euros!! They are most known for the sausage in bread roll which I didn’t try.

The best barbecue/cevapi I've ever eaten. Friendly staff, and pleasant atmosphere. Waited 15min for a table, but it was worth it.

We ordered Ćevapi. The food was very delicious. I was wondering about the crowd. The restaurant was still very busy at 10 pm, though it was a weekday (August 2023). The food came a bit late. But, the waiting was worth it after tasting it. Recommended!

Very good food and friendly staff. Cards accepted. Only 1 thing to improve - to have a draft beer. But I still reccomend.

Absolutely delicious and comforting food. Staff was kind, food came quick and in more-than-enough quantities, and kudos for the bread which was a real delight. Coming from Bulgaria, that felt like eating at home. Extra Point : This place is solo-eater friendly, even when crowded. Extremely appreciated.

Very traditional restaurant in the center of this Stunning capital! Friendly staff, great food (a lot too!) for a very low price. Good homemade beer, and the Bosnian bread is on point! Would definitely return!

A cozy, nice and very busy restaurant. When we had dinner here, there was quite a line of people waiting, and the waitress told us that it was actually less busy than usual. It's a popular place! I can see why; the athmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. The waiter that served us was very friendly and joked around, which was fun. The food was nice with large portion sizes. It was not outstanding, in terms of plating (looks) or taste, but it was a good meal nonetheless. Cheap prices. Truly bosnian food, I would recommend it!

Go in summer and find yourself eating hot, sometimes spicy, fatty food in large quantities in a warm cellar. No doubt an experience writers as esoterical as Anthony Bourdain would describe as almost spiritual; and that it is because the food is so so amazing and really inexpensive. The beers are good, the service is friendly though it must be said: stressed. This place desperately needs more waiters. Nonetheless, they did all they could and when some of our food had to be remade because it had been dropped in transit, the drinks were on the house for the bother. Real friendly place in that sense. Can only recommend if you're looking for great, inexpensive (Bosnian) food and an original atmosphere with friendly staff!

A humongous amount of food. The portions are bigger than you expect. Phenomenal price performance ratio. Overall a very relaxed environment to chill with friends. The staff was very kind and friendly. Definitely would go again. Suggested place.

Themed after the Sarajevo Olympics, this little establishment provides very satisfying Cevapci and Bosnian meats at a very fair price. The service was great and hearty. The portions were really large too!! The place is popular too so there are queues if you arrive after 6.45pm.

I recently discovered cevapcici and I can’t stop eating each time I’m in a Balcan country. So for my birthday I really wanted to eat it, we found Sarajevo 84 and we were thrilled from beginning with the old tavern look, but the best is the food, was exactly what I wanted.. super tasty super well done with great siders and the unfiltered lasko beer was perfect. Very good place, totally recommended. The prices are normal not too high and the food arrived in a normal time lapse even tho the place was full.

A Bosnian restaurant recalling the good old days of Sarejevo before the troubles. Huge portions of tasty food with ice cold dark beer. The waitress was kindly and sweet, willing to guide me through the menu and share her views on the world.
