Very nice Parisian inspired cafe in the center of the city. Good for breakfast and brunch however they also offer many other warm meal options such as pasta and salads! Service was fast and efficient. Maybe a little bit pricey but good quality!

We love coming here for breakfast in Ljubjlana! The decor is great and the food is off the charts. Seems like everyone orders some form of their eggs Benedict and they are wonderful dishes! Stop in when you are in the area this place never disappoints!!

Extremely overrated, or with false reviews. The place is clean, warm, and cozy with good french music (house vibes, Emma Peters mostly) which is perfect. Now, for the food, it was one of the worst places I've ever been too, unfortunately. I believe the omelet is made from a premixed yolk bottle, is bland, with bad texture, and an overall...bad taste. The butter has no taste at all, as in, tap water. And the croissants are neither homemade nor tasty. The bread and jams were okay, thankfully. For anyone looking to experience a great and fulfilling breakfast, I wouldn't recommend that place, or at least, I wouldn't recommend what I've ordered : Le petit déjeuner ("The breakfast"). Apart from food, the staff was okay and the atmosphere perfect.

It was DELICIOUS 🤤 The experience was absolutely delightful! We're eagerly anticipating our next visit. I was captivated by the exquisite salad with roast beef ❤️, a true culinary love story. I highly recommend giving it a try! Meanwhile, my partner tried the La Petit Burger and was equally impressed. The homemade iced tea was a pure joy 🥰🥰🥰, leaving a lingering taste that I can still recall. A truly scrumptious treat!

The best restaurant in Slovenia I have been to! A huge variety of exquisite dishes, beautifully decorated and super fresh. Highly recommend! Also the place is very beautiful, cozy and stylish. And the prices are more than reasonable. The salad with glazed sweet potatoes and beef cheeks and tortellini with goat cheese and pumpkin sauce are really something to die for!! Thank you dear Le Petit Cafe, you are the best!🤩

Best breakfast in Ljubljana. As a restaurant there is really nice intimate atmosfere on the first floor with really good food. All the compliments to the waiters, chefs and management. This is my favourite place in Ljubljana for coffee, breakfast or any meal of the day. ❤️

Coming right out of the plane at 8 am, all we wanted was a nice breakfast that took care of our bellies and kicked off this Slovenian adventure. We found it at Le Petit Cafe. I had the eggs royale and we shared some American pancakes. Oh man, delicious! Also, the space is very cozy and pretty and the staff is very nice (as I’ve been understanding it’s the standard in Slovenia).

Adorable eatery! Very busy for a reason. Truffle scrambled eggs on toast was great, also got their smoothie and a chai latte. Service was quick, if the table says reserved it might not be so make sure to ask!

After waiting an hour, waiter “Just pay and go” First impression was good (because of the design and atmosphere) but later everything was ruined… After we made the order more than 45 minutes have passed, people who came after us already got their order and ate it. No one came to us to explain why so I went to the staff and found out that our breakfast was fallen on the floor and the new one will be in a few minutes…Again NO ONE even tried to come, apologize and inform about it. After 15 more minutes we got our breakfast- it was dry, the egg was fried, although it should not have been (Croque “something” Madame). A friend actually had some kind of porridge (in a bad way) with canned tomatoes, a few fried eggs and sauce. I ask waiter to come but he didn’t, so I came to him and ask for a discount for waiting an hour, for what I got “I can’t give a discount. Just pay and go” - Excuse me? We said that it wasn’t our fault that they fell our order on the floor, on that waiter said “It’s not my fault too. Just pay and go” How it can be even possible and acceptable? Can staff at least try to be polite, explain the situation and offer something or at least apologize…Its a basic customer service rules.

We visited at the peak hour on Sunday morning and the staff was very busy yet also efficient; service was very good. Outstanding menu selections for even a picky eater. Our dishes were excellent, cooked well with kind attention to details. Prices were about where they should be, cozy atmosphere. They even brought a bowl of water for our 4 legged companion.

Best breakfast/ brunch spot in Ljubljana. I come often and enjoy it every time. Great food, great coffee, great service. My family came to visit from the states and they couldn’t get enough of this place! Also the orange juice is some of the best I’ve had. Not a huge fan of the American pancakes tho. More of a desert you’d have once a year than a breakfast food (saying this as an American).

Great and cozy cafe with an excellent assortment of food, ranging from eggs to burgers and everything in between. Whether you want a quick bite and coffee or a proper lunch, this place has you covered.

Friendly staff, great fresh croissants and coffee and nice food. The ambient is very cozy. The Benedict eggs were really good, the omellete was rather dry, but still the overall impression is very good and we want to recommend this place!

Super lovely place, not high end, but delicious small menu and good wines too. Our waitress was delightful and helped with wine recommendations, gauging our palate and our pocket admirably.

Let Petit Restaurant offers a more formal dining experience than Le Petit Cafe which is downstairs and on the terrace of French Revolution Square. The food is of a similar high standard. Popular with students and staff from the Ljubljana University district, this is a great place to take your partner or parents for a special meal. Very reasonable prices and great staff.

What a beautiful coffee experience. I am very fussy about many things about coffee taste and can tell a lot. Coffee (double espresso) surprised me, the right amount of coffee oil, taste tells that the machines are well kept and clean, coffee roasted and well and carefully selected. How often do you get a pleasant surprise of a coffee experience in today’s time?! It is very rare! A must visit place for coffee lovers and do try your coffee plain black - it is an experience. Well done, coming back soon. 👍👏

Great place for breakfast with options until 5pm all week long. Indoor and outdoor seating. It definitely gets crowded though and the service is extra slow. The food was very tasty. We ate the Florentine and the Croque Madame.

While exploring the streets of Ljubljana and what the city has to offer, we found a small oasis of peace where you could have a nice breakfast. Looking at the endless menu of dishes, we barely decided on just one dish. A hamburger with various side dishes in a freshly baked bagel, as well as Istrian truffles combined with eggs and truffles, proved to be a complete hit. Each bite filled his mouth with flavors that cannot be conjured up until the dish is ordered and tasted. The atmosphere is filled with light music in the background, and the staff is to be commended and I would like to thank you for your patience as we choose our dishes. We are looking forward to a new arrival during the new Slovenian adventure. Greetings from Split :)

Perfect place for brunch/breakfast. It has a nice atmosphere inside and outside. Waiter was efficient. The food was delicious and portions are good size. We loved the smoothy and freshly squeezed orange juice. Will definitely recommend and come back.

Ate here twice as staying locally and found the quality to be variable. During a quieter part of the day we got a better experience with more attentive service and better quality coffee. However, Sunday morning breakfast was a bit of a disaster – weak and disappointing coffee, an anemic cheese toastie and a cold breakfast plate. Prices for a breakfast dish was approximately €12 and coffees a little pricey at around €3.50. No doubt Le Petit has a nice Parisian-style situation but I wouldn’t necessarily expect Parisian-quality cuisine.

We had to wait a bit but it was worth it, we ordered the English breakfast and the Benedict’s eggs, both delicious and very honest price. Waiters kind too. I appreciate that the water was included with dishes.

Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here. We enjoyed truffled eggs (very generous with the truffles) and a ginger and orange juice as well as coffee and a croque madame which included a side of chips. The chips were cooked perfectly and also came with aioli which was great. Easily could have been a 5/5 if service was a bit faster - the cafe was very busy so it was hard to catch someone's attention as we were sitting in a corner but otherwise staff were friendly and spoke English well which is a plus! Centrally located and reasonably priced, highly recommend when visiting Ljubljana

Worth the wait if it's busy. This restaurant is incredibly charming, offers amazing breakfast, and has the best coffee in Ljubljana. The lighting and decor make it a great place to eat and chat on a cold winter day.

Came here after reading many reviews/blogs and I think it lived up to the hype. We sat on the inside because we didn’t want the birds to disturb us on a sunny day. The waiters are friendly (and speak English), the smoothie was nice and brunch was lovely. Also good price for quality. I would recommend.

Super good breakfast restaurant and by far the best we found in Ljubljana. We were lucky to have a warm and sunny Saturday morning in mid October. No wonder the restaurant was continuously full. Service was surprisingly prompt and professional. Tasty coffee and good selection of variety of breakfast options. I had a smoothie, natural yogurt with fresh berries and a vegan bagel - all delicious. My friends had more traditional breakfast choices. They were totally all impressed and satisfied. Good location in the city but slightly off from the most touristic area.

Amazing menu with lovely style and beautiful food. The service is a but slow but kind and very helpful. Take your time here and enjoy the silky jazz backgroud in the sunshine outside and wonder your eyes trough the leaves in the streets.

The place and the food was quite nice, also they prepared the food in a good time. Rating it as a 4 stars because when we wanted to pay it took ages and they forgot we were waiting 3 times... so it was a bit annoying. But the rest was good.

Really tasty breakfast. Service was quick too despite it being very busy. Would definitely recommend. Tip: be prepared to wait in a queue. I went on a Monday morning and had to wait for 10-15mins,i can imagine Saturday and Sunday will be busier, but if you ask me; totally worth it.

A really nice and cozy place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They work on Saturdays which is very nice. And they have amazing Eggs Benedict. Also, they have a list of allergens on their menu. Worth a visit, for sure!

We had a lovely lunch here. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. Food was very good. I had the Fuzi with truffle which was delicious. My partner had the lamb ragu which was equally as good. Great selection of desserts which are of a high quality and tasted beautiful. Highly recommend.

Food was really nice and fairly priced. The bagel royale was very delicious. The smoothie was nice but a bit expensive at €7 Helpful staff and very nice atmosphere. French cafe vibes.

The best food experience we found in Ljubljana. Great creations as well as common dishes on a high level. Very friendly staff. For this city maybe a higher price level but every bite is worth it! We had a great dinner here, the location is very cozy. Highly recommended!

Located on a quiet cobblestone street, Le Petit Cafe oozes Parisian chic and is the perfect brunch spot. Portions here are generous, fresh & cooked to perfection. The coffee and cocktails are simple but flawless. I was slightly disappointed to see the only savoury vegan option was a bagel thinking it a bit boring but I had clearly judged too soon. The bagel was still warm from the oven and while the filling was simple it was all so fresh it worked perfectly. The Istrian breakfast was enough for 3 people are very generously sprinkled with truffles. The service was efficient & on point. A must visit I'm Ljubljana

This is a review from 4 people. Some of the best french fries we tasted. Lamb and chicken was great. Burgers were 3.5/5 though since they were medium done. Should be well done (5stars then) according to us but that is more of a personal taste thing. Really nice waiter. Review score is based on value for price paid. Highly recommended. Edit: Went there for brunch the day after. Really good. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delighted with this place! Very friendly staff, ambient is cozy, and above all amazing food! You have to get mimosas! Oh and coffee is great! We will definitely come back!

Try this place for brunch, lunch, dinner… just try it! The menu is huge which usually doesn’t mean anything good, however this place is different. Seasonal menu, quick service and all dishes are really tasty. No idea how they manage the kitchen but hands down! Loved my baked eggs with chanterelles :)

  • 4/5 Brent H. 2 years ago on Google
The food is pretty good. Very large portions. I thought the Karst bagel was a bit too salty for my taste. The coffee is good. I should warn you about the birds. The little finches are ruthless here. If you turn your back they will steal the food off your plate while you’re eating. Kind of ruins the whole experience; keeps you on guard the whole time. Edit: Went here again recently. It was much better this time. The service was good and as quick as possible (they were busy). The food was much better.

I was very excited about this place. French, well rated. But unfortunately the food was not so good. I’ve ordered octopus with mussels. The octopus was over cooked. The small shards of shell of mussels were in sauce. The place is really cozy, the waiters are also very friendly. Maybe I was just unlucky.

  • 5/5 Grzegorz F. 1 year ago on Google
Very good breakfast. We took poached eggs “Omar” and “Benedict”, given on toasted bread with hollandaise sauce. The difference is that in “Omar” there is marinated beef with chili and in “Benedict” smoked pork. Both dishes were great. The café was a bit crowded but it means that the place is good and recommended.

Breakfast is phenomenal. Traditional and fancy options.Taste, portions, price are all ideal. The prices on the menu online are outdated. They have options for dogs too so my pup enjoyed a frankfurter. Ate here twice in two days for breakfast only. Come early, it gets busy.

Had a lovely brunch here. It was busy and we'd just missed breakfast which the waiter apologised for. The brunch options are limited to a selection of Croques and Gratinated (oven baked) eggs, we had one of each and they were both delicious. They allow dogs inside and also offer a couple of dog items on the menu for a few euros, hotdogs or chicken.

Super cozy place, not too far from the University area. We had brunch here and I got the egg Florentine, it was delicious! Fresh orange juice and mango smoothie were quite tasty as well.
