What a way to rain on your (already rainy) day in the lovely Ljubljana! So... The place is located near the town centre and it looks quite homely and lovely. They have an outdoor terrace, but since it's winter, it was not an option. Inside of the place is nice, looks warm and cosy, tho the tables are really very close to one another. The menu is ok, it has a decent selection of dishes, at more or less reasonable prices - it is not cheap, but not too expensive as well. Mind you, tap water is 2,5 EUR for half a litre, which is not very cool in my opinion. I wouldn't mind paying for bottled water but this is not it. The beer selection is rather poor and of mediocre quality. We had opted for "local" dishes, a wine stew and sausages with cabbage and some weird sidedish. Sausages were great! The meal is about 13 EUR and totally worth it. The mentioned sidedish is delicious. Would order again, we loved it! Wine stew... well... you could definitely taste the wine. The sweet and tender veal was neither sweet nor tender, but at least I hope it was tipsy from all the wine -.- The stew needed at least 45 mins of cooking more to be meh ok. It is one of the worst I ever had in any of the restaurants, and for the prices of some 12,5 EUR would call it an utter flop. And now, for the real cherry on top of this experience... the waiter! When we came in, the place was really crowded so we got a table for two in the window. As it is really cramped, we have asked to move to a different table after the place emptied out. We asked really politely, not wanting to just move tables and be considered brazen. The waiter refused us flat-out, saying that they have a policy of couples only taking tables for two since they need to keep the tables for four for larger groups, without exceptions. At that point, there were 7 (seven) empty tables for four and one for two, but ok, a rule is a rule. About two minutes later in walk two local guys, take the table for four. Comes the waiter, more than polite, and doesn't even mention the just mentioned rule of not allowing two people taking the table for four -.- His personal preferences aside, I seriously don't it is ok to treat us differently and condensendingly according to our nationality. They had a subtle snicker towards all Croatian customers, no matter how polite the customers were. So, if you really, really, reaaaaaaaally want to come to this place, pretend to be a local or an Englishperson, since plain old politeness here just won't do. And whatever you order, avoid the stew. Ew. (photos look better than real food, btw)

Fresh and homemade pasta and raviolis .. i went for a raviolis mix and it was actual fine and tasty with cheese sauce ! Some will say it is a bit over rated and expensive from Ljubljana. I can understand but considering the location and the quality the place does worth it still

The waiter recommended three of the specials. We ordered two of them and house wine which was listed at 3.20 on the menu. The food appeared to be “cooked” in a microwave and plainly served. We tried to eat it, unsuccessfully, and settled for the wine, which ended up being 32 Euro. Our check was E63.80 for inedible food and house wine. I have never before posted a negative review, but this is one for the books.

For the 1 day my family and I were in Slovenia we chose this restaurant! Amazing restaurant in Ljubljana! We had žiga as an amazing server! He gave us recommendations of where to go and a little bit of history in Slovenia! Great food and great service! Highly recommend for anyone coming into the area. Would definitely come back again!

We tried the vegan ravioli and it was delicious. The service was great as well.

Went on a Sunday for breakfast. Ordered their English breakfast and coffee with milk. Food tasted well. Staff there are friendly. I particularly remembered this waitress who smiled and welcome me in, which makes me feel good (basically it was also a morning and being received with a smile makes one feels good). Thank you for the smile. :) It's a pity I could not try the other food in their list but for those who wants to have a good breakfast, you guys can probably drop by there and give it a try.

This is a type of hidden gem! It's next to the river but into one of the side streets. So you can enjoy your food without too many tourists passing you. The restaurants vision and approach to food is so cool. They want to serve proper, wholesome food that moves away from the fast food idea. I had the vegan ravioli with a side salad and it was so filling and delicious. Enough heaters outside to keep you warm as well!

Lovely outdoor seating secluded by small trees with great view. Tried couple good beers (IPA) recommended by the waiter, plenty of options to choose from.

Warm and friendly restaurant with very (!) delicious meals. We enjoyed our time there a lot also due to the friendly waiter. Hence, if you like to enjoy a good cuisine and uncomplicated lunch or dinner, this is the right place to stay in Ljubljana.

I just came in to eat something light and fast. I've chosen Cesar Salad (chicken salad). Salad was tasty and well prepared. Worth of its price. Restaurant outside had few tables in a shadow of a tree at the water. There was there wonderful night wind that cools you during so hot days like now.

This restaurant is located to near by the river and you can enjoy beautiful scenery while dining. We had our lunch here and chicken salad was fresh and warm. The highlight ws kind waiter and his service. Highly recommended if you are in Ljubljana.

Absolutely tasty! Nothing was left on our plates. Everything tasted so good and came in big portions. Staff was good but the food was really the star.

We came here for breakfast early in the morning. They were one of the few cafes that serves full-course breakfast like scrambled eggs and open early. Staff was very accommodating and we appreciate it, because we had been searching for god knows how long for an open breakfast place. The food was not bad. Portion was good and taste was good for a winter morning. Comfortable seating too with indoor and outdoor.

Very nice place next to the river. Risoto and Mango Spritz were fairly priced.

We sat for lunch by the river, the service was excellent and kind, we ordered a salad with chicken and four cheese pasta, everything was very tasty! I recommend the place, the food and the service.

How do you screw up a classic dish like pasta cabonara? Well if you come to this riverside restaurant you would experience it. The cream sauce and the pasta just seem like a bad marriage - and my partner's wiener schnitzel wasn't as inspired, since the meat was dry (not juicy or tender) and even the fries accompanied it wasn't hot! To be honest, one can find much better restaurant to dine out in this beautiful city.

Quick service and friendly people, but the food could be better. Also the portions were very small for dinner. The vegan ravioli was nice, but it has so much more potential. If they used a creamy broccoli or spinach sauce instead of tomato sauce and put vegan cheese on top, the dish would be much elevated.

Came here twice when we visited for the weekend. Sat outside and inside and both were good experiences. Quick efficient service with a varied menu but not too large. I went for the omelette one time and chicken strips with fries the other and both times hit the spot. Nice spot by the river and central for visiting. Recommended.

Great place with a river view. Very well located and not so crowded. Service was exceptional, quick, and value for money. I had the menu suggestion, which absolutely worth it. Klassika Burger was, according to my 13y boy, one if his best ever and almond snitzel was a delicious surprise. Local beer and local wine suggestion was also very good.I definitely recommend this lovely place.

Paninoteka - excellent and reasonable menu. I chose #3 and it really filled me along with the great taste. Menu has many other a la carte stuff to offer. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to sit by the river. We had a smoked salmon salad and my son had a wrap that looked like some kind of omelette with a generous filling. He loved it !

Nice terrace with river view. Ok food and service. In my opinion, prices don't correspond to the quality of the food.
