Cafe Zvezda is just a pale shadow of what it once was. It's really sad to see how they failed. There was only one waiter for the whole cafe. There were six of us and we all ordered desserts and waited for a glass of water. To which the waiter replied that we cannot get water. Cafe zvezda is the only one in Ljubljana where they don't serve you a free glass of still water. Unlike all other cafes where they offer better service and products. We canceled the order and went to another cafe where we felt welcome. We will never come to Zvezda again. I also advise everyone to avoid it.

The ambiance is very charming and cozy. They have a good selection of breakfast options. I ordered omelette with salmon and avocado and blueberry smoothie and it was delicious. The service was also nice and helpful.

We chose this place as they were the only restaurant or cafe to offer breakfast eggs in the area. We ordered fried eggs, quiche, and coffee. Not cheap but not $$$ and excellent quality food and service.

A nice, but really nice coffe place in the center of Ljubljana. The cakes are really tasty, but in the same way expensive. The prices move between 4 and 6 euros, which is not recommendable for a small wallet. Beside traditional cakes like Prekmurska Gibanica, big offer of fancy cakes with chocolate, fruits or cream. It is really beautiful inside and it feels a bit timeles, so it is easy to spend some hours here without realising it. Recommendation!

The bar/patisserie is in a big square at the city center of Ljubljana. Decorations are very pretty, waiters are kind. The coffee is very good. It's possible to pay by card. Music and atmosphere are nice and relaxing. The service is slow and the prices are a bit high.

Very tasty cakes and nice hot drinks. Our special favorite: the hot chocolate with the whipped cream. It is a must to try ! However it is a little bit heavy, we recommend one for two persons. The prices are a little bit high but it is justified by the quality, the location and the decoration.

Had only a plain butter croissant and a cappuccino. The place is amazing mainly if sunny! The croissant was just a bit too dry as it should have stayed a bit less in the oven.

Way overpriced. Bought an ice cream around the corner at Zvezda. 2 small cups, 1 with 2 scoops and with 3 scoops. Good taste, but small portions, not friendly staff and ridiculous price of €14,90... Even the most touristic Italian ice-cream shops are cheaper.

Such a great interior design and the choices of sweets are amazing. I just found the service to be not the friendliest and not the most attentive. Coffee was great though.

For the love of great food ! Been to over 60 countries and here is where I've had the best cakes I've ever tried in my life ! No joke that I have tried over 5 different cakes and they were all incredible !! Mix of flavors and fluffiness like I was about to do my happy food dance 😍 Sorry all plates were gone before even taking a picture !

Elegant space and in the park Savory dishes: tuna sandwich was soggy on the sides and toasted top and bottom. Probably they made it too far in advance and thought a final toast would fix things The Peter sandwich was good Chai latte with oat milk as expected Sweets: many vegan and non- vegan options . Nice pastry shop, with a cute ambiance. It is a bit expensive, but worth it.

Great place for a drink & sweet bite to eat. Extensive cake menu. Quick service. Comfy tables and chairs outside overlooking the square. We had the traditional gibanica (massive wedge) and an apple & berry strudel. Coffee was also good.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the amazing pastry shop, Zvezda, in Ljubljana. The cakes are truly outstanding, fresh, and incredibly delicious. The atmosphere of the shop is also fantastic and everything deserves high praise. I highly recommend stopping by Zvezda for anyone who is in Ljubljana. You will not be disappointed! The cakes are the star of the show, and the ambience only adds to the overall delightful experience. A must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Coffee here so flat. Ordered late macchiato and Irish Coffee, nothing special, almost worse. Look like barista forgot the recipe. This place nice, but to pricey with they small place like now.

Waiting 15 min to order, was already thinking to go to other place… I ordered irish coffee and didn't have any taste or feel of whiskey maybe little bit of smell. I didn’t ordered any cake, because they are bit overpriced.

Stopped in for just a drink while visiting the city. Service was prompt. It was very nice enjoying the drink outside.

We went to this café to have an authentic Gabanica - a traditional pastry dish from Slovenia. The Gabanica was good, the café looks nice inside as well - but service was slow and prices were high (and portions small). It was a good experience to try the Gabanica but we didn't feel we got good value-for-money.

Only star because I didn't like the cake. I believe the cake was good, but something I don't particularly like. Bottom line, it was sweet enough for me. But for those who like less sweet dessert, then this might be perfect for you. Location was great, service was awesome. A little pricy but still an excellent place to take a break.

Delicious meals, nice staff, vegan-friendly menu. The prices are not cheap, but understandable considering the location. The only minus — construction work nearby.

Had a macchiato, croissant and cake Zvezda here. The cake was interesting, with cream, cookie and puff bases. The coffee was also nice and the cafe is chill and conveniently located. 5 zvezdy.

always when i’m in ljubljana i go there to eat an ice cream, one of the bests of all time! the cakes and the macarons are as well really good :)

One of the best coffees in Ljubljana and good breakfast options 👏 + Great coffee (one of the best in Ljubljana) ☕👍 + Tasty breakfast options 👌 You should try eggs and avocado (on the picture) but don't expect big portions 🤷‍♂️ +- Atmosphere and ambient is nice if you watch Congress square, but there are too much birds that are always there waiting for food leftovers 🤭 + Prices are normal (for Ljubljana) - 2 coffees, toast and mentioned eggs and avocado around 18 eur 👏 +- Professional service (maybe it could be just a hint faster) ☝ + No special Covid-19 limitations... So, if you want to have great coffee in Ljubljana and maybe grab a bite of food besides, Zvezda is the place to go 🥂

Place is probably better know for ice creams. The raspberry chocolate cake I had was decent. Service is very slow but the place itself is cute.
