By far THE WORST pizza I have ever had in my life! If I could give it a MINUS 10, I would. It was literally inedible and I left 90% of it even though I was starving. I have never in my life left a piece of pizza on my plate. It was a total disgrace. I don't know if they're trying to save money and use the cheapest ingredients but that was completely tasteless and dry, impossible to eat. And then the waitress said it was some special cheese that doesn't melt???? Seriously? A cheese pizza by default can't be bad. And when I told my friend about it, she said the same thing and she and her daughter couldn't eat theirs. So a piece of advice to the owner, maybe you should taste your pizza before you give it to customers. All in all, NEVER again.

TL;DR: While Azur excels in culinary execution, recent price increases have made frequent dining here less appealing. Azur used to be my favorite haunt, with the superb quality of its dishes drawing me in at least once or twice a week. However, over the recent months, changes in their pricing structure have significantly tarnished my once glowing view of this establishment. Along with a steady and significant rise in the cost of drinks and dishes, Azur has introduced an unusual practice for Slovenia - table service fees. This addition only serves to inflate the already escalating prices and is a disappointing development for an establishment I had come to love. A recent outing illustrates this situation perfectly: my partner and I ordered eggs with asparagus, a pizza, and a beer each, only to be surprised by a staggering total of €40 - an absurd sum for such a modest meal, made even more so by the newly added service fees. Azur's culinary execution is still second to none, but the rising prices coupled with the newly added service fees have made me reconsider my frequent visits. However, I remain hopeful. Should Azur reconsider its current pricing strategy, I'd be more than happy to once again become a regular patron and enjoy their culinary delights without the accompanying sticker shock. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

Pretentious food with no substance. Nearly threw up from my tasteless unseasoned macaroni. the menu is too big for them to be able to prepare anything fresh or on time. So everything feels stale and needs an hour to cook. Zero vegan options; despite the exhaustingly big menu.

I've been to this place many times over years. They had some ups and downs, but are pretty consistent in quality. This last visit the service was nice and friendly. Ambient is beautiful. Very cosy and nice athmosphere. I had giant squid/octopus salad, and risotto with gamberi, mushrooms and truffles. I'd give three stars for the food. Salad lacked dressing or something, was too bland given the price. Truffles in risotto were overpowered by other strong flavours. Gamberi tasted off.

Good food, nice ambience, friendly staff. -1 star for portions that are too big, and poor vegan options.

When we arrived, restaurant looked promising based on reviews however I have to dispute the “ best in town” pizza title as that is not true. Overloading a pizza with toppings is not a way to go and attitude of certain waiter(s) after pointing it out is a complete mood killer. We definitely won’t come back here

Nice place with delicious pizzas. One warning though: they have 2 sizes of pizza - small and large. By default they bring large, unless you specifically say to bring the small one. The big one is hard to eat on your own :)

Azur is an unassuming trattoria and pizzeria in Ljubljana's unassuming suburban residential area. But listen up; I live abroad and I have eaten all over the world and in the world's best restaurants. I also ate pizza in Napoli, Italy. I love good food. The food at Azur is outstanding. They don't have a single mediocre dish. I'm not exaggerating, their dishes are mouthwatering, full of flavor and fresh ingredients sourced from Slovenia, cooked and put together in masterful fashion. Slovenia has made massive strides forward in its culinary offerings in recent years. Azur proves it. Have one lunch or dinner there, You will be won over.

Beautiful location with many italian options in the menu. The food was really good and overall above average, the restaurant in only a few steps away from downtown and it is easy to get there either walking or on a taxi drive. I tried the pork medallions and they were tasty, also the Nutella crepe was amazing. I would highly recommend this place.

Cozy, big restaurant with wide variety of dishes (and pizzas) and great staff 👍 + very polite and proffessional staff; +- prices are a bit high (tomato soup around 7 eur, grilled prawns with potatoes around 24 eur, etc.) + innovative and delicious Amalfi salad - you should try it 🔝(price=around 15 eur) + one of the best tomato soups in my life 🫣 + good selection of wine Bonus tip: make a reservation at least a day before and there is a big parking space just around the corner 😉

Really liked this place. Very convenient coming by car and very close to bus stop that takes you to the centre in less than 10 min. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and the menu in the restaurant offers a few vegaterian options. All in all a good base for visiting Ljubljana!

A Suburban Culinary Gem: Authentic Delights Away from the Ljubljana Tourist Bustle Review: Tucked away in the tranquil suburbs of Ljubljana, Azur proved to be an unexpected treasure trove of culinary delights. As a traveler seeking an authentic experience away from the usual tourist crowds, stumbling upon this restaurant was a stroke of luck. The charm of Azur extended beyond its delectable offerings. Situated in the suburbs, it provided a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city center. The absence of the usual tourist crowds lent an air of exclusivity, allowing diners to savor their meals in a peaceful and serene setting. The handmade pasta and open-fire oven pizzas that graced the menu were a testament to the dedication and passion of the chefs. The pasta retained its traditional essence, transporting me to the heart of Italy with every forkful. The flavors were authentic and comforting, a far cry from the usual fare found in most eateries. The open-fire oven pizzas, too, were a revelation. The mastery of the chefs in harnessing the power of flames was evident in every bite. The smokiness imparted by the open-fire cooking technique elevated the pizzas to a level of perfection that is seldom achieved. What truly set Azur apart was its suburban location. Away from the well-trodden tourist paths, the restaurant offered a genuine glimpse into the local culinary scene. The atmosphere was intimate and inviting, fostering a sense of connection to the locale that's often missing in more tourist-centric establishments. As I reveled in the culinary wonders before me, it was evident that [Restaurant Name] was not just a place to dine; it was an experience that transcended the ordinary. From the warm service to the thoughtfully curated menu, every aspect of the restaurant contributed to an unforgettable evening. In conclusion, Azur is a hidden gem that shines brightly in the suburbs of Ljubljana. For travelers seeking an authentic and peaceful culinary escapade away from the tourist throngs, this restaurant is a beacon of excellence. The handmade pasta and open-fire oven pizzas, coupled with the genuine local ambiance, make it a must-visit for anyone yearning for a true taste of the city.

Really happy with the place. The ambient is warm The staff is just awesome, makes you fell like the president. The food is very good quality and lots to choose from. The prices are not the cheapest but are reasonable. In front there is parking space and if that is full there's also one available across the street. Usually there can be a waiting time to be seated. Recommend definitely

The pizza was excellent. That's the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one because the experience was terrible. If it were my first time here, I wouldn't come back. At the entrance of the restaurant, there's a sign in front of the bar instructing to wait for the waiter. We followed this sign and waited there. We waited for 5 minutes, but it felt like 10. Personally, waiting for a table is not an issue for me; the problem is waiting for a table where there's no space. Where we waited was next to the door, which kept opening constantly. At the same time, we were by the bar, and people were constantly moving around since there was no space. If you have a sign to wait for a table, at least create a space where people can wait politely. If you're going for a high-class experience, don't let customers wait and crowd.

I ate pizza and it was really good and tasty. The dough is fluffy, like Italian style. You can ask for the black dough as well. Staff is friendly. There is a big parking lot nearby, free for customers.

Great food, lots of options. It's usually a short wait to get seated, and getting the attention of the waiting staff takes time.

Great place for business meetings and dates. The ambient is sleek and a bit rustic. There is parking available howeveri it is small. The staff is very polite and friendly, the food is overall above my expectations; tasty, fresh and garnished. Would visit again.

Really good. However they have been increasing prices at an astonishing rate for the last few years. Since they are so full one needs to wait for a table most of the time, they can obviously afford it …

Good food, and a very nice ambient. Parking for guests nearby. Downside is that prices are quite high, although not out of the ordinary compared to Ljubljana restaurants in general.

Always delicious food. From the daily menu, to custom orders and pizzas. (Some) salads come with no dressing, too bad. It can get really crowded during the lunch time. Daily selection of 5 meals for lunchtime, with prices bit above average. Great selection for business lunch.

Staff are nice but do not wear masks properly (below noses), nor do they check PCT upon arrival. Food is generally ok but nothing special given the cost, and the service is slow for lunch. Deserts were ok, Panna Cotta was nice, tiramisu missed the mark.
