Out of all restaurants in Slovenia that I visited, this one definitely has the best balkan food. It is huge, it has a lot of tables, some of them are even on the river Ljubljanica bank. So you can enjoy the view on the river while enjoying tasty meal. There is also a parking lot, but I would say that capacity of restaurant is much bigger than capacity of parking lot. About price, I would say decent, for 15-20€ you can get main course, drink and desert. Why not five stars, it's kinda old.

In the Portal inn serve a good mix of home-made Slovenian and Serbian food. They offer a place for large celebrations, overnight accommodation and a pleasant shelter from the summer heat and noise along the Ljubljanica river under the canopy of trees. If you are a fan of roasted peppers and don't mind healthy garlic, I recommend the pepper salad. They also roast peppers to order, as many as you want.

A little bit outdated place which needs an upgrade, food is decent

Just ok dinning if you expect to eat(a lot) of meet on southern(serbian) way. Good food. Waiter was very kind and quick.

Food is nice, service is good but enterior is so old, but if you like to eat descent Serbian food in Ljubljana this is the place to go.

Phenomenal!! Leave Fancy Must Have, unnecessary make-up and beauty filters before you step into this restaurant. You will be greeted by kind staff and divine food. Recommendation for Leskovačko beer! Don't get around this place. And most importantly, they are flexible and willing to prepare a gluten-free variant for you. All 5⭐️ from me!!

Honestly, I was expecting better balkan food here. It was ok, but i have eaten better. Baklava was dissapointing unfortunately :(

Balkan food at its best. Wide selection. Easy to park.

Food is great, restoran is not in best shape and its not clean, waiter is wery wery slow i wait on food more than half hour, gues it was weekend and restoran was full of guests... once again food is so delicious...

Always good food and a nice experience. It can get really crowded, specially for the weekend. But they do have roasted pig and lamb! Sometimes they are even grilling red pepers right in front of the place! Now they are renovating a part, so from the outside can look a bit disheveled but fear not!! Its super lovely and parking is usualy avalibe and its all in the shade!

We visit this place for lunch from time to time and they offer a nice selection of balkan dishes, as well as a daily spit-roasted lamb and piglet. If you're planning a lunch trip, this is definitely a good choice, but note that they are often quite busy and may host events, such as weddings. I've never visited the hotel since I live in the area, but if their hotel service is as good as their restaurant, you should be quite happy with your lodging as well.

Good food. Pleasant stuff

Good bed and breakfast located in the outskirts of the Slovene capital Ljubljana. Rooms are basic but well equiped (airco...) and beds are comfortable. I had a good big 3 beds room. Breakfast is basic, but the bread was very tasty and home made. I recommend.

Great food (breakfast and restaurant), not so great rooms. The window of our room was facing the road, the walls and does were too thin, and there were sounds from the water in the toilet. The bed is quite comfy, there are toiletters and nice furniture in the room. Take this hotel for a good food and attitude from the stuff.

A very nice place by the river. Has all the great Serbian dishes, čebapi, jagnetina, pečena paprika and more. Pizza is also nice enough. The riverbank terrace has this fancy mosquito fryer, so they don't eat you alive. The waiters are all very professional, but the place can be busy sometimes.

Old school kinda place. Good food and service.
