Beautiful church with free entrance. A piece of heaven in the midst of the busy town and the main landmark of the central square in Ljubljana!

You see a lot of churches and they all start to look a bit same same after a while, but this one really does stand out with it's pink facade and it's location in the middle of the city. Inside it is beautifully decorated as well. I busted on a Sunday morning whilst mass was on so didn't get to school as much as I would have liked. Worth a visit.

One of the main churches of Ljubljana. In my opinion it is much more beautiful inside than inside, but of course they are personal tastes.

The Franciscan Monastery and the Church of the Annunciation are the two buildings contributing most significantly to the appearance of the Prešernov trg square, the central square in Ljubljana. Until the end of the 18th century, the monastery was the home of Augustine monks. The Church of the Annunciation was built between 1646 and 1660. Its façade, completed around 1700, rebuilt in the 19th century and renovated in 1993, is adorned with a copper statue of St. Mary, Ljubljana's largest Madonna statue.

Wow wow wow....I am not religious in the slightest but I was very impressed with this place. Shame they have started charging for entry, only 2 euro if my memory serves me but regardless very much worth with it!!

An impressive church with its neoclassical façade and beautiful baroque interior with frescos on the ceiling.

I mean, it's pink, how can you not love it. Beautifully ornate design. With religious art stories inside. I found somone who told me to be quiet while inside, as I said, "wow" quietly to myself. I tiptoed back out of the building as I was making noise with each footstep too. So I couldnt capture many pictures as didn't want ruin the prayer environment.

A beautiful church from the outside and located right next to the main square, though they're not really open for tourist to visit the interior. We tried going in because we weren't sure, to bump into an ongoing service. It's better to visit the Ljubljana Cathedral if you want to see the interior of churches.

They did not allow non-catholics no parttake in the consumation of sacramental bread on great friday. I do not understand this, as other religions whish to commemorate the crucifiction of Christ too. The Pascal Triduum is not just for catholics. Can’t believe this happened in the Holy Week. My party and I were very scarred by the whole ordeal, and will NOT be celebrating any future holy days in the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation.

A fantastic and beautiful church. I sat at the back for a while as a service was on...the singing sounded like angels were present with me.

An impressive building that is seen from any of the bridges along the river.

The Franciscan Church of the Annunciation is located in the Preseren Square with a noticeable red color facade. It seems to be the symbolic color of the Franciscan monastic order. The Triple Bridge, Franciscan Church overlooking the Preseren square with the Preseren Monument. Checked, now its time to explore the inner streets from this point.

Very beautiful temple on Christmas evening. A lot of people come to stare, a lot of people stand in line in the altar space. At the entrance, several street cafes sell hot coffee, tea and wine. Inside, the holiday atmosphere is felt, but it is very dark.

That red exterior standing out amongst other buildings at the square is matched by the extensive interior murals.

This Church is absolutely a must to visit. Also the central point where all the bridges bring tourists all together opposite the church. If looking for a pharmacy there's one next to the church. And plenty choices of restaurants nearby. Got some leave and some quiet moment, you can head behind the church to Union Hotel, another landmark. Expensive may be, a peaceful heaven.

From the outside it’s not even a very attractive architectural monument. But I strongly recommend everyone to go inside. Because the decoration inside leaves an unforgettable impression. It's really very beautiful there.

A beautiful church in the Romanesque style. It is pink in color, the surroundings are clean, stairs lead to the temple, you can also look inside the church, it is beautiful and decent.

Best place for Peace 🕊️✌️. I used to go there and sit inside, where there will be no voice from anywhere. Best place to think, personally I am a Christian but that doesn't matter it's a nice place to spend time.
