Really good is to take a guide on Lubljana. It is nice to hear legends and history stories about the places. Prešeren Square is the main square in Ljubljana. There is also a large statue of the Slovenian poet France Prešeren on the square. According to legend, the face of the statue faces the window where Prešern's muse was born to live and there is also a small statue on display. On the north side stands the baroque Franciscan Church of the Annunciation. On the south side flows the river Lublanice, which can be crossed by the most famous bridge in the city, Trojmostim (Tromostovje). It is a beautiful square and a trinity, especially at night, when it is breathtakingly lit.

A small square in the heart of the old city of Ljubljana. Walking friendly close to few of the famous bridges spanned across the river such as the Triple bridge. You can have an ice cream, do some shopping or admire the beautiful and interesting architecture of the city.

I love Slovenia I love Ljubljana 🧡 I love everything about this country. It’s so beautiful and not as crowded as other city in Europe. Some ppl said nothing special in this city, but for me I feel it’s so simple beautiful and relaxing. Lovely restaurants along the lake side and the big park near center. I love how it close to each other. The lake in the city center make me want to sit there forever. I will come back soon 💚

It’s so romantic that a girl and this man were in love but never made it. Now they’re starting at each other. This is not just a park. It’s in the center of capital city.

Upon crossing the triple bridge to the Preseren Square, the monument can be seen on your right. The bronze statue of the national poet France Prešeren stands on a pedestal facing the window where his adored Julija Primic used to live. Interesting to note is the sculpture of a Muse just above him. She seems to be sitting on a rock and holding a laurel branch. This monument is quite popular and so many people would sit here and just take a small break. Simply watching the world go by and basking in the warm sun is definitely an option. It is also a great meeting place in case you split up exploring the area. Don't forget to pose for a mandatory photo shoot.

Beautiful town square with awesome view of Ljubljana Castle especially at nite with the lights. The Ljubljanica River running right next to it makes it an encridbly scenic venue. A must see in Ljubljana🇷🇸

Named after the poet who wrote the Slovenian national anthem, this square is a great meeting point in the historical centre of Ljubljana, next to the triple bridge. It's very scenic and a nice place to walk around, but we found the better cafes, shops and restaurants were across the triple bridge and into the Old Town.

Ljubljana is probably one of the few cities in the world whose central town square is adorned with a statue of a poet rather than some political or military hero. The poet, France Prešeren (1800–1849), who wrote mostly in Slovenian and is best known for his sonnets, was one of Europe's great Romantic poets. Such a beautiful square.

Let coated in Ljubljana, the capital.of Slovenia. Beautiful architecture as shown in the photo. There is a river running through with three little bridges across it. Views right up into the mountains and hills. Plenty to see and lots of photo opportunities. Ljubljana is a tiny capital city so it's all compacted into a small space so easy to get around. Lovely and clean, English is spoken quite widely. No shortage of places to eat and drink. You have to pay to use public toilets so good idea to have some euro coins l.

‼️BRIEFLY ⭐⭐⭐⭐ At the center of the square you have an art installation not sure if temporary or permanent. I particularly haven't liked the fact that it is wasted water.. Remember is not a fountain, this water just gets flushed away.. 🔍WHAT'S IT? It consists of a sprinkler installed on top of ropes so it always rains in that spot.

This square is the center of Ljubljana, its heart or nervous center or whatever you'll call it. It has the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation on one side and the triple bridge on the other one connecting you to the main pedestrian street of the town. And of course, restaurants, shops, and even the market not far from it on the left after the bridge.

The place to see and be seen in Ljubljana. Locals run into friends here while tourists congregate to observe the church, the bridges, the statue. There’s a lovely atmosphere, a place not to be missed. And right across the bridge on the left is a very helpful tourist information office with a great gift shop.

Beautiful square, especially decorated for Christmas. It’s really quiet and empty before 0630 or 0700, but stays crowded after that especially at night. When we arrived it was pouring rain and there were still tons of people. Right next to the Three Bridges, only about 5 mins from Dragon bridge, and beautiful views of Ljubljana Castle.

Beautifull square in the center of Ljubljana...there are many small, nice bridges and during night time the lights nicely light up the river... just beware of a few drunk hobos during the night

All roads lead to Prešeren square! While this place is definitely riddled by tourists pretty much all the time, it is definitely worth to see! Arguably the best view of Ljubljana castle. Great place for a starting point of old city stars, buildings, ice cream parlors, old time open air market where you can buy fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, cured meats, etc. as well as amazing coffee shops and eateries…

Ljubljana is a beautiful small old city, with nice characteristic streets, shops, galeries and restaurants. We enjoyed the city center and the walk down from the castle. A great day trip!

A must place to visit if you come in the city! This the center of the city with a unique three bridges architecture. Around the area and across the bridges is the most interesting part of the city, with a lot of stores, restaurant's, open market, small streets and etc..

City Square and from there on you have market, pubs, restaurants, shops everything with in the reach. It retains historic buildings and looks. It's a pearl of a city centre. It's worth visiting, sightseeing, and trying out local cuisine and beer/wine

Every capital represents the country and its history, so being in Lublana is a must have for someone who visits Slovenia. Old city is absolutely fantantic. The symbol of this city is a green dragon, so mandatory point to visit is Dragon Bridge, but there are more... Tromostovje, Castle, Mestni Trg and still many more to see. What I like the most is the evenings here, when many events happen on the streets, so everyone can find something attractive to him. Definitely I stayed too short in this city, so I come back one day again.

Very nice. Beautiful with the lights on but very crowded during the ceremony. Also not many options nearby for eating. Everything closes very early so it’s a bit of a ghost town

Again a nice looking green statue in the middle of the city. The most busy square of Ljublljana. The river and numerous bridges are very nearby.

From my hotel, i walk and stroll going to the castle. I grab my camera and take shots for souvenir purpose. As usual habit for tourists. Hehehehe. Slovenia is clean, cold, beautiful, best food, friendly, a good country to visit. My short stay was joyful, excited and inspiring. I have visited this country twice already and if I am planning for another Europe trip, definitely Slovenia is included in my list. 5 stars from me. Thank you Slovenia for allowing me visit your country. I love you!

Many tourists, nice square, big monument. From here is very good view tothe castle. In the morning need to be cautious because of the cars. But they come only 6-10 a.m. to load food to the shops

Beautiful square with a baroque church and Art nouveau buildings. In the middle, it is artificially rainy, which is really surprising and refreshing on sunny days! The square is dedicated to the poet Prešeren: writers are important to the Slovenian, it is thanks to them and not to kings or soldiers that their country exists. After centuries of Austrian, Italian or Yougoslavian governments, Slovenian found their independence thanks to authors who fought for their common culture and language.

It is a really nice place. So many visitors always go that side. You will see some amusement there like singing songs, and playing music. The coffee shops, ice cream shops, some pizza shops and so many restaurants are around that place. The hostel, named H2O, I stayed for two days is also nearby. I really like looking around Ljubljana including Preseren Square.

Prešeren Square – It is always crowded as it is a local meeting point. In addition to the statue of the famous poet, right in the center of the square, pay attention to the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation which is right next door.

Serves as the central square of old town Ljubljana, can be reached via the Triple Bridge from the two square, filled with amazing collection of stores, restaurants and national monuments and dotted with artworks. Very typical and representative of a European city with baroque buildings and cobblestone streets built along the stretch of the Ljubljanica River.

A really very nice statue, even if, in my opinion, it is in a somewhat hidden position, it should in fact be valued more

A beautiful place to be at. It's the city center so there are shops and restaurants all around, you can see the castle on the hilltop from here. I went on Christmas eve and it was just beautifully lit up.
