Wonderful and peaceful place in this vibrant city. There is the particularly nice Café PRIMULA with friendly and competent service. Very cozy and surrounded by greenery.

Best botanic garden I’ve ever been with enormous trees and huge tropical plants in the glass house. A recommendation when visiting Ljubljana!

Beautiful botanical university garden. Good signage of the plants, very nicely laid out. The highlight is the tropical greenhouse, it's not free but it's well worth seeing. This abundance of tropical plants is overwhelming. Here too, everything is well maintained and labeled. You can buy cultivated tropical plants in the nursery directly connected to the tropical house.

A beautiful, small botanical garden. The area is not huge, so it doesn't take an hour to walk through the facility. There is an entrance fee to the greenhouse. Not the system itself.

A small botanical garden with many plants and trees, and a little pond that you can visit for free. There is also a greenhouse with exotic plants, but you have to pay to visit it. In the middle of the garden there is also a bathroom and a small cafe. The parking around the garden is free.

Beautiful place to visit, learn about all the possible plants, well-kept, you can also stop for breakfast in the greenery.

It was ok. Greenhouse nice with not to many plants suffocating each others. Outdoor, well hard to say visiting in September. But well worth 4 €

I went hoping for an impressive display of plants. However when I arrived in the free to the public gardens it felt unkept. So didn't bother with the main greenhouse that you pay for. I probably went at the wrong time of the year. This wouldn't normally drop the stars but the toilet situation was bad - went to use them and the men's was almost overflowing!

September is not the month to visit a botanical garden. There was only one beautiful rose, and that. But the walk was enjoyable

Beautiful, rather small botanical garden. Nice to stroll through. It's green everywhere and it started to be colorful because the flowers started to bloom. We didn't go into the building but that was okay. I recommend to go there if you like botanical gardens.

Lovely gardens and the bees were a unique touch that really added to it, and they're an important part of maintaining biodiversity that often go overlooked. Free entry so definitely have a look around.

Place to relax. Small, but very cute botanical garden. No entrance fee for outdoor space, entrance fee for tropical garden (indoor). Good cookies and cakes in the coffee/ tea place.

Very beautifall place for watch plants and for walking with family, friends or. dog. There are smal bar with lot of great deserts and drinks.

Nice, green, and calm place. You can also buy live plants and herbal teas here.

Nice, rather small botanical garden. About 20 min. away from the city center and located close to a small but rather busy road (so it wasn't that quite). Very nice for a walk away from the crowds. Signs had information in English, as well. Also, a fairly big tropical gallery (entrance cost around 5 €).

So close to the center this little green spot. Nice for a light stroll any time of the year. Then you can sit under the trees and sip your tea.... So relaxing.

Beautiful and refreshing environment all year . Nice short walk. Interesting plants for the afficionados. Cosy coffee shop during summer.

Walking distance from old city centre (Spica is just over the bridge), this botanic garden from 18th Century transports you to times long gone. Green, shady, away from crowd, amidst of there is a well hidden bar with limited amount of tables with good selection of beers (make sure to ask for beer brewed by students of the faculty on the other side of the street)

Tivoli is often too crowded, while this place has much less activity. Plentiful of shade for a leisurely walk. Myriad of different trees and other plants. Friendly staff at the store. Loads of plants you can buy at cheap prices, and best of all, plants aren't raised in optimal conditions, so they don't die the week after you bring them home. Overall I'd recommend it both for walks, a nice cup of coffee and for buying plants.

A lovely and well kept little garden. Nice cafe right in the middle of it. Pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. Except for the glasshouses ( €3 if I recall) entrance is free. Recommended. 👍

This garden has such an eerie atmosphere in the winter. Love all the little white flowers. The greenhouse looks fantastic, but it was closed when I was there (Feb 2022).

Nice area to go for a picnic, reading a book or to a garden cafe in autumn. Some of the plants were already gone but there were still beautiful and relaxing. We didn't find a parking place near so we left our car near the train tracks and walked from there.

This place is just pure, raw, bristling magic. Tucked away, yet accessible right in downtown of Ljubljana.

Nice. Walk back along the river. We saw a man feeding salad to a cute nutria!

Lovely Botanical garden. Wanted to see the Ginko and Ksenija showed where it was, meanwhile walking there she gave a small tour of the garden. Such a Nice expirience.

Small, but nice botanical garden! You can even buy a few plants there! Entry to the greenhouse is 3€, recommend if you like plants! After that, go to špica!
