Not allowed for tourists entrance. Shame, as libraries are commonly open to everyone and free of charge. Come visit great libraries in Scandinavian capitals!

Definitely overrated. The building is nice, but mind that you'll only see a reading room with no books and a small exhibition about the history of the building itself, all for €5 per person. It's quite nice but I'd give it maximum €1 as support for the university. I advise against it, there are other things in Ljubljana that deserve to be seen. IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN: if you have children be really careful, it's very easy for them to fall down the top floor onto the stairs, keep them with you all the time.

Terrible experience! 5 euros to visit a wooden room without books, which nobody at the entrance told us about. The visit was about 2 minutes long. Definitely not suggested.

A small and disappointing library, as a student had to pay €3 for membership! I am allergic to mask, however, staff rudely asked me to leave if I don’t wear the mask!!! Not open for tourists! Not even comparable to Scandinavian libraries!

Need 4 euro to apply for a membership card to get into the library area. Else could only visit the stair outside, still, beautiful to see. And also got a statue outside.

Great backstory to why the lights are lesser in the lower floors and more in the upper floors. The people studying here go from darkness to enlightenment the more they go up with struggle in studying. This is the significance of this arrangement 😮😇👌🏼 The place is very close to the city centre and has a relaxed vibe to it. The facade looks good enough, although plain

Extremely welcoming staff with heartwarming hospitality. Mostly come here to study, but would recommend it to turists interested in architecture and/or occasional exhibitions of establish Slovenian artists and other women/men of importance.

5 euros to see just a nice entry and a room of the library without books. Worthless.

What a scam, 5 euros for visiting some pictures and a room with some books?! Only 2 stars for the fresh air and the funny pictures you can draw in the guest book. DONT GO IN, SPEND MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!

Great old study hall which is available for students who register at the library. Also a nice cafeteria downstairs!

Fascinating. Shining smooth light wood. Incredible atmosphere.

From a touristic perspective: Heavily overpriced as there is little to see (apart from a exhibition about censorship visit is done within 1 min) From a student perspective: It's super cool that such a building with touristic interest is still open for students. So nice building for studies but nothing extraordinary that's worth an entrance fee. It's a tourist trap.

Nice building but horrible and small exhibition. You have to pay 5 euros to visit it (main reading room, staircase and mini exhibition ) only if you are not Slovenian. Don't lose your time visiting it. Many places in Slovenia seem to be not welcoming foreigners. We were invited to a concert by the tourism office but many Slovenian were not happy to have foreigners there.

Very Good for studying. As a students it's definitely worth it. BUT for some reason you're not a lot to take a Power Nap (like all students during the intensive Examination period do) on your table (sitting, head on table). Never heard of this being not allowed

Somewhat interesting architecture and interior design, but dark and heavy.

Not impressed. Jože Plečnik's specialty was churches, not libraries. Good use of windows for natural light, but otherwise, nothing special. (October 2019)
