A very unique type of a church, compare to the majority of other churches in Ljubljana, which have baroque style of architecture, and insides. The church is special also because it's build with bricks, and no plaster on the outside walls.

The church (Cerkev srca Jezusovega), which is in neo-Gothic style, dates back to 1883 and was built by the Order of Lazarists. It did not suffer serious damage from the 1895 earthquake but over time it has been subject to restoration, as in the case of the presbytery (1975). The interior, with a single nave, is essential but with windows that illuminate the main altar with stained glass, whose altarpiece shows the images of Mary's parents, Sant'Anna and San Gioacchino and the furnishings of the church. The wooden pulpit and the side altars are beautiful, such as the one dedicated to the Heart of Mary, while there are also statues of missionary priests, martyrs in China. A visit would be appropriate.
