Had a great and very relaxing stay here. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. Perfecting located for being very central too. Staff were very helpful and informative, I also took advantage of the sauna and steam room, which was clean and the booking process for it given the covid precautions actually made it an even better experience. Breakfast selection was probably one of the best I've seen at a hotel. Well worth the price as it made for an enjoyable start to the day. Lastly, couldn't help but appreciate the bears in the adjoining bar, definitely bought a smile!

Good hotel, no problems with the room. Early departure so didn't have time for breakfast. Has a decent gym, on hotel gym standards Worth noting that the valet parking is not available 24h, only from 6:20 to 23:00

Wonderful hotel, but the rooms were a bit dark (situated next to the inner room). The hotel bar was very lively. Extremely well located in the center, but without its own parking (we had to park in one of the city parkings, for around 30 euro per day). Our 2nd stay was much better. We received nice rooms on the street side, and got a cheaper parking place organised by the hotel . We can recommend this hotel

The best choice if you stay for new year at City Center or to visite Ljubljana. Everything is near. People are kind, breakfast was good and the room was clean and nice. Recommend !

Pros: fantastic location, great service. Cons: didn't meet the expectations. Ok, Slon hotel is an icon in Ljubljana and finally I had a chance to stay there. Superb lobby, Zvazda cafe inside, polite staff. Everything was as I imagined, untill...I got on second floor. From there it is another story. A two star hotel. Room are very old, squeeky floors, broken bathroom tiles, torn curtains. If it wasn't so clean and warm I would certainly change the room. P.S. Breakfast was excellent

I used to stay at this hotel however recently they stopped accepting American Express card despite showing it on their own website as well as on third party websites and they just brand your card invalid even though officially they supposed to accept it. The quality of the hotel went downhill over the years...

A very well located hotel central for easy walking access to the heart of beautiful and historical Ljubljana, the main square, triple bridge, Riverside/river boat rides, old town lanes, abundant wonderful restaurants and funicular to the castle. The rooms are immaculately presented with minibar, safe, and tea/coffee making facilities. The buffet breakfast is outstanding with three banks of hot, cold and fruit/serial to chose from with lovely local champagne style fizz each morning. The spa and massage centre is busy so book ahead. Overall we were very happy with our stay and will gladly return.

The best hotel to stay in the heart of Ljubljana. The service was amazing. Staffs were helpful and knowledgable. We had to sought their assistance multiple times for routes, places and other stuffs, and they were very responsive every time. The rooms were quite comfortable. quite, clean and cozy. The breakfast was extensive, really fresh and awesome. Vegetarian options were available. It is located at a walkable distance to major places like Dragon Bridge, Triple Bridge, Butcher's Bridge as well as close to a bus stop. Also, located commercially with Spar, H&M, Zara and other shops located nearby. However, parking is 22 Euros per night which seems too high. But the stay experience will compensate this.

We had an amazing stay, great location, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Filip at the reception desk deserves medaily, he recommended place to go for a nice cocktail and he was professional and friendly. He was polite and always asked us if we have everything during the stay FILIP...thank you for making our stay comfortable and thank you for having us.

The Hotel is centrally located and is within walking distance to most of the places. The rooms are of a decent size and comfortable. The staff is also friendly and overall service is pleasant. The breakfast buffet is fantastic in terms of the variety and quality of food! Would highly recommend this hotel

This hotel is the perfect location when visiting Ljubljana. The hotel is close to the castle, the river, the Farmer's Market and shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel

Not what I had expected given the price and prestige they claim. The rooms are untouched from the 70‘s except for the beds which were pretty good. Breakfast was a 4 star.

Perfect location close to everything, big rooms with comfortable beds. Really good breakfast, best we had in hotel without being a five star hotel. Gym, sauna and steam room was also nice. I liked the style in the lobby and bar. Great value for your money.

Room was rundown, bathroom light had no bulb, scratches on the surfaces, dark hairs found in many places and bathroom door didn't shut properly. Breakfast was ok, but nothing particularly outstanding. Location was superb

The property is so well maintained, the maintenance team and grounds team do a fantastic job and are friendly as they go about their work. The reception team are lovely and friendly. Always felt welcomed. Hailey and Josie make the best cocktails on the island at the Birdcage bar. Grab a cocktail and watch the sunset and whales! Looking forward to our return.

It is located really near the city center. Rooms were great, not too big, I'd say medium size. Breakfast was amazing, with a great variety. People was kind and nice. We traveled on an electric car and there were a lot of charging stations around the hotel. We had no problem!

A great option when visiting Ljubljana! The location is perfect and the rooms quite nice. The staff was helpful, especially the valet. The hotel is located on a street you technically cannot drive on but you’ll need to to access the hotel and valet!

I was here just this last week, all the staff have welcomed us like no one as never done before, I felt like at home every minute I spend there! The room, the view, the restaurant, the breakfast....everything was perfect! I am still feeling tonic and energize, even if I consumed enormous amounts of delicious food, the restaurant service is wonderful! Outside the Hotel, you can easily reach the center in one minute walking, for the services offered and the value for money, at least is a 5 stars superior! My room was awesome at the 4th floor, with an incredibly large bathroom, the breakfast was simply amazing, with a lot of fresh fruits and a great variety of choice, everything organic, biologic....unfortunately I have been only for 4 nights, I wish I could spend a week Hotel Slon! I recommend it for who wanna spend some days to refresh his soul and body...and thanks to Lana for help me with a new room and Jak and Luka for the luggage service The last tip I can give is to book directly on their website, the fare is significantly lower than you can find on the net.

The Best Western Hotel in the heart of Ljubljana is a top choice. Its location is perfect for exploring the city. The staff is friendly and always ready to assist. The valet parking option in a pedestrian area is a real plus. Rooms are comfortable and spotless. And don't miss the amazing breakfast with a wide variety of options. Highly recommended!

The hotel is a fantastic stay with dogs. They are truly dog friendly. I love that they have valet service for parking. Parking can be challenging in Ljubljana.

Welcoming and helpful hotel staff in a nicely appointed facility. Rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable with the exception of the shower which was uncomfortably small and an A/C that was marginally effective. Morning breakfast was nicely prepared and generously presented.

Great service. Very central location. The room was fully equipped (minibar, safe, hot drinks, bathrobes...). The room was very clean and well maintained even if the furniture were a bit of age. Food in room service was very good, breakfast buffet as well. Would recommend to stay there.

Stayed here for 4 nights and all in all was a decent hotel, the lobby gives the impression that it is all completely new and renovated however the rooms although clean and spacious could do with being updated as the decor just doesn’t match the lobby area. The location was excellent however and was only 3-5 minute walk and you are in the heart of the old town with lots of shops and food places nearby and a 10 minute walk to the bus station if you are planning day trips out of the city,

The perfect spot to be in Ljubljana. Located right in the centre and you can walk to everything within minutes. There is valet parking which is such a relief, so you don't need to be worried about the madness of city parking. The service was excellent, very helpful and friendly. The rooms are adorable! They look traditional. Also, there's an umbrella in the closet, which is such an important touch! The breakfast was so-so. But overall, a fantastic stay!

Location and breakfast were perfect! Unfortunately, the bed was far from and I didn't manage to sleep nicely during the whole 3 day (2nights) stay... it was very rigid and they should definitely invest more in updating the rooms and the beds (mattress)

Room was smallish but very nice with a great shower and very very powerful toilet. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. Only problem we had was figuring out how to turn in the car for valet, it's not marked but they just expect you to pull up on the sidewalk out front.

The room was a little outdated with carpet and a small shower, but the location was great. A quick and easy walk to the old town. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had. There is no on Site parking. You can valet for a price.

Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Good food, great atmosphere and excellent accommodations. Big + also because they clean the rooms and matrasses with a Hyla. Best cleaning machine in the world, no mites, dust, pollen or other allergy triggers in this hotel!

Iconic hotel with excellent location, excellent staff. Beds are so comfortable and rooms are super clean. The only thing I must mention is that the rooms should probably be renovated including the bathroom

Beautiful hotel in the centre of downtown, Ljubljana with kind and welcoming staff and excellent room services. Rooms were small, but anyhow enjoyed the stay. There are lot's of eateries options nearby to this place plus the mcdonalds just on the next building.

I woud give ZERO stars if possible. Hotel has Air conditioning system that is working during certain times of the year! very hot in the room all day long, if you open a window to cool off, you ll be woken up by bells every 30 seconds. My friends all have similar issue with this outdated AC UNIT. Additionally, I have asked many times for a refund for an exta night I have booked, and even though hotel sold that night to someone else, they wont credit back money! told me to contact third party that I have booked with but its just a run around. Absolutely terrible !

Beautiful hotel (hotel l'elefante, now they use a Slavic word) located in the heart of the city centre. Service was good, rooms were spacious, and they were clean. Only thing was the bathtub which could be a little slippery. Breakfast was amazing though.

Centrally located near pedestrianised area, easy walking to almost everywhere in the City. Our experience with the staff was very positive, all friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are amazing. Our room faced out on to the main thoroughfare, so it did get a bit noisy overnight (we stayed over weekend and bank holiday). The bar there is lovely but drinks a little pricy. Overall a very decent place.

Excellent breakfast - close to 5* hotel standard. There was a wide range of hot and cold foods. The selection of loose teas was also very nice. The location is excellent – only a few minutes walk from the city centre. Rooms were a bit dated and in need of renovation. However, they were very clean and well equipped with AC, tea/coffee making facilities and free water. The staff were friendly. Visited May 2022.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! The rooms and service were fab and the breakfast was to die for! We stayed only one night but will definitely come back to stay in Ljubljana and Best Western Premier Slon for a few more days for sure! And soon!

The room was clean and comfortable thow a bit dated, nice shower. I give 5 stars for breakfast as as it had great selection and everything was top qualify. The down side is that is very comercial and they try to get more from you like parking which is very expensive here 39 euro, in room minibar and at the breakfast etc. Location is excelent.
