Avoid this horrible place. Dirty and dusty rooms with spider web in the every corner. Horrible smell everywhere. Surfaces were so dusty in the room I even had my allergy back. Bedsheets smells like dirty body, so they don’t change it after every guest. It’s a shame to offer this service in the capital.

Very disappointed with our stay! I wouldn’t usually write reviews but I feel like this one has to be shared. We were a group of 5 and booked one 3 bed and one 4 bed private ensuite which advertised air conditioning as part of their facilities on Hostelworld. When we arrived only the 3 bed had aircon and the 4 bed had none!! The room was extremely stuffy and very uncomfortable there was only one tiny window in one of the rooms which we couldn’t even open as it was covered with a plastic bag looking out into a construction site. We were very disappointed when we said this to the nice lady at reception and were given a fan for the room which helped a small bit but this was not what we paid for. The manager then explained to us that when booking the rooms it says whether or not the rooms have air conditioning. This is not true as we checked this and hostel24 should not be falsely advertising air conditioning in their rooms if not all rooms have it especially during peak summer it is important! We were also woken up at 7am by scraping on the “window” by construction workers right outside which was not very pleasant. The shower was mouldy and we found ants on the wall in one of the rooms which was quite disturbing. We couldn’t change rooms as the hostel was fully booked and after emailing Hostelworld during our stay as to what we should do I was very disappointed when I got an email ONE WEEK later only when we had arrived home which was no help at all. This was by far the worst hostel my group stayed in during our Interrailing trip and I think hostel24 needs to clarify the facilities they are advertising.

Regarding the double room; Location is very good, you are really two minutes on foot from the dragons bridge, main market square and the pedestrian zone. However the rooms are not just small but tiny and very low, it's difficult to take a shower because you hit the ceiling. Very oppressive, towels are tiny too and mattress so thin that you feel it hard. All in all is worth just if you are staying one night and you don't stay in the hostel at all but to sleep.

Exactly what I was expecting, cozy room for one night, but hot everything I needed. Only the round stairs are nightmare 😉 very nice staff, clean, only no AC in the room, which I knew about, was a disatvange.

Hostel is good, location is pretty amazing. Rooms are extremely hot during the summer so your window must stay opened at the night but the street is quite frequented…

Really nice hostel, with a great location, our room had a good size. However, the kitchen was very dirty.

The location is great and the staff were kind, friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for food and for things to do in Ljubljana. Unfortunately the room was quite stuffy and needed a fan or air conditioning, especially when it was the price that it was.

The room we got was very dark, almost no light and very bad air conditioning. The room upstairs had the air conditioner all night and it sounded like a helicopter above us, without exaggerating. Then at 06.30 on a Saturday some people woke us up by working next to our windows. I will not recommend it.

The staff was very friendly and the location central. The accommodation is very small and old but beds where clean. It was very noisy and the kitchen smelled strange.

Downtown location but only this. Plywood construction everywhere (means a lot of noise) bathroom not even for a person and molded. Very low ceiling height. Not worth for the money that we gave

Solid hostel with friendly staff. The closing of the common area is a bit odd, and it more or less forces people to go to bed, or go to a pub... but what if people just want to write something on their laptops or something. I think this is something they should consider, but otherwise it is a cool place.

I strongly recommend! It is close from the city centre, train station, and bars/restaurants. Eva, the host, is a lovely and helpful person.

All in all I am satisfied. Hostel is close to the city center. Room is small and clean. Price is acceptable. There was no air conditioning in our room, only fan.

Booked an own room with bathroom. The single room were very disappointing. Ceiling very low, noisy atmosphere due to window is directed to street, mattress very thin and uncomfortable, walls very thin: so you hear everything. Room relatively cold and only a portable heater is provided. Bathroom is no proper own room.. More a small room, integrated in the private room. -.- at least it is quite clean and the staff is nice but I will not recommend the private room here.

Clean, basic and cheap, if you're only staying for a night or two, this is probably the best you'll find for the price. The receptionists speak good English and are happy to give advice on nearby restaurants. I stayed in the 8 bed dorm and have no complaints, other than my bunkmate coughing loudly, but that's not something the establishment can control. Checkin- and out was quick and easy. There's no extra charge or deposit for keys or towels and they take both card and cash. Overall a pleasant place

Pro's: It's a really nice hostel, cozy and right next to the city center! The staff is very welcoming and friendly and is there for you whenever you have a question. We slept in a dorm with 6 other people, but it was devided in smaller 'rooms' which gave you much more privacy :) The place was clean and the interior really made us feel at home (plants, quotes on the wall, a sofa,...) They also organise cool get-togethers like a movie night and a boardgame night, which was a great way to meet the other guests! Con's: It's a little pricy, but I'm afraid it's not easy finding a cheaper place in the center. (Also we didn't use the kitchen but it looked a little small if you really want to cook in it.) A great hostel!

Nice little hostel. Great location. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Towels are provided. Beds and bedding are comfy. Kitchen facilities are spacious and clean. Unfortunately, the design of the hostel doesn't allow for much socializing, and common rooms close after 11pm. Good for a few nights, but if you want to socialize, go somewhere else.

Good location, great staff and a good size room. We organised a shuttle bus through the hostel, that picked us up and took us to the airport for 9€ each. We got a private room that had its own entrance, which was great for privacy (a very narrow, windy stair case to get up though). Only downside was that the bathroom was very smelly and the fan didn’t work.

Really cool Hostel. Price is good, beds are really comfortable. Suggested especially to young people that don’t matter about sleeping in big and crowded rooms. The receptionists are really sweet and helpful. It’s really close to the center, just five minutes walking, and 10 minutes from the bus station.

It was really fun to stay at this hostel! They organise all sorts of activities together and it was really fun to get to know everyone! The rooms are clean and cosy. They are small but it is perfect! The hostel is positioned at a 3 minute walk to the market and therefore as a breakfast you could get some fresh fruit and bread from the market. It was a nice time in Ljubljana and especially in the Hostel24!

I've been there for one night and I was pleasantly surprised about the cleanness and the respect of everyone even if i lived in the biggest room with many people. In the evening you can spend your time with wonderful people in the public kitchen which is also very cozy and clean. The ladies at the front desk where very helpful and they told me about the city a bit and gave me useful information. Also it is cheap! The area may be a bit further of the center but the city is very small and you can go anywhere by foot in 10-15 minutes. Recommend it!

The best hostel I have ever been to. Great hospitality and everyone's friendly there. People at the reception were also very kind and gave me many great travel and night life tips! Thank you.

It was so awesome! Everyone is so nice and game nights are so fun together with the other guests and the team. In this one week it was our little hostel family. I will never forget this crazy game night and the story we created with bert bird, dinosaurs, and big brother watching us all :D Definitely will come back
