My first first few days in Ljubljana were made perfect and easy by the attentive staff who speaks perfect English and is extremely helpful and resourceful. Facilities are well kept, safe and give opportunity to meet some very interesting people.

The location is amazing, right in the center of the city, a few steps from the most lively streets. There is absolutely zero traffic in the area, which makes it ideal for walking areound and appreciating the city, without being bothered by traffic. The location is also very close to the train station and bus station, a walking distance basically. The staff will great you with a wide smile, a lot of help, and a great welcoming attitude. Greate value for your money and excellent option if you don't need the accomodation for other than a good quiet night sleep. Thank you guys for the excellent service. Disliked · One tiny detail actually, the guests can poick any bed in the room, which is ok, however, the key card what you get might be associated to a different bed, and when you swipe it to open the room door, a light above the bed associated with your card automatically turns on, so if it's not your bed and someone is already sleeping there it might be a bit disturbing, definitely not a deal breaker, and can be improved. Also the rooms are a bit warm, especially the ones with a window opening at the internal skyligh space.

I don't recommend staying here. The beds are all stained and creeky. The ladders to the top bunk are removable and wobbly and some of the beds don't have guards so you can fall right out. Everything is dirty. The bathrooms and showers are horrendous. I couldn't even take a shower because the curtains are all browned and stained. It's in a fantastic location, and the staff are really wonderful. But the photos here on Google do not paint an accurate picture of the place. It is quite run-down and in need of a thorough cleaning and refurbishing.

I like this place. The receptionists are kind and hospitable, the rooms are very large, breakfast is served downstairs, there is also a cafe and Spar supermarket nextdoor, and it's in the very heart of the of green Ljubljana. Most museums are super close you can just take a bike there and ride the funicular to the castle. One helpful criticism is to fix the lights in the bathroom. Everything else good. Love Ljubljana 💞🐈

Overall disappointing. Positives: The staff were largely helpful and the room was clean, central location. Negatives: The room didn't have working air con - apparently they had 'turned if off for the winter' but then another staff member told me it was broken. It was 26degrees in the room. The showers were a bit grotty. The 'book corner' was one book in a box. The only nice communal space (the atrium) wasnt available throughout my stay. I ended up going to celica hostel which was 100 times better for a similar price.

It's a pity that I have to write this review because my time there was very funny, but I have to warn about several problems that they have in this hostel. I would like to emphasise that the work of the staff and workers of the hostel are very good; they are young people who do their job very well and they are very sympathic, I have nothing to reproach them for. Firstly, this hostel tolerate the racism. My friend was involved in a fight because his religious status in the door of the hostel by some students who were staying there too. The director of the hostel had the opportunity of teach him a valious lesson and eject them of the hostel, but not, preferred to remain complicitly silent. Secondly, my friend and I in my view, we were deceived and lied to. We were forced to pay an unfair fine because the elevator which was out of order from the moment we arrived and it broke down twice more before we supposedly broke it down by five of us riding it. It was supposed to have been fixed during our stay, but I didn't see it work once. Basically, we were cheated. This elevator is there to make its "arrangements". This happened on a Wednesday and we were not aware of it until the moment of the check out it was impossible to defend ourselves or to prepare the money we had to pay. We were disappointed because we clearly had not broken this elevator that had in bad conditions since day one. To sum up, look at other options before staying in this bad hostel.

Great hostel with awesome service. Only issue is the bathrooms as they have a smell to them. Otherwise the room themselves are great and they have lots of facilities and common areas if you want to meet people.

The front desk staff was really nice but the rooms look like from a horror movie about a haunted asylum. Dirty window shades, psychodelic wall colors and a ventilator machine from hell that wakes you up early in the morning. Bathroom was disgustingly dirty. Do not recomend.

This hostel is absolutely superb, the staff are friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge and go the extra mile. The facilities are cleaned daily, rooms are spacious, air conditioned, large lockers for the bigger backpacks, free wireless internet in the lounge with some computers also connected to the internet. It's location is in the heart of Florence and it's an easy walk to get anywhere but it's on a side street, right opposite the Duomo, grab a free map from the tourist information office or a cheap one from a newsagent as you may miss it when following the directions to get there. At night and weekends, they'res secured doors at the entrance, it just gives any traveller the feeling of more security. Excellent solution to stay in Stockholm. Staff present 24 hours a day, therefore perfect also for those like us who arrived in the city late at night.

Amazing location. Sara and Katrina on reception were super nice and helpful. Best I've known in a hostel. Beds were metal so very noisy and so low you couldn't sit on the bottom bunk which was weird as crazy high ceilings in the rooms.

Like many said before... Very good location, but otherwise quiet a disaster. Worst for me: the room has only windows to an inside atrium, so basically you get no fresh air at all, wich i hate, it's stiff and too warm (and it's January!...). From about 8 in the morning there was a lot of noise, from people in the atrium, from vacuum cleaner etc. The building also kinda amplifies sounds so very bad for a hostel ... After a night with almost no sleep and a headache i have to say... Go to Celica or vila veselova, if you're in Ljubljana. Not as central, but Ljubljana is small anyway and you can still walk to the center in 15 minutes or so from these ones. The staff was friendly, but also pretending like they never heard about these problems, wich obviously is not true, reading the reviews here.. I guess anyway it's not the staffs fault, young people just working and so, but the owner of the hostel obviously only cares about money... And staff did their best to help, actually. So agreeing with like what a lot of people said .. ;-) Cheapest sheets, dirty mattress, no power outlines next to the beds, really squeaky bunk beds... When someone enters sometimes random lights next to beds turn on. No ventilation, nor AC.

  • 2/5 Ethel D. 10 months ago on Google
The location is perfect but AC is not working so it's very hot in the rooms + in our room we couldn't open the window + there was no blind. Sometimes noisy & Smells horrible in some toilets and showers. Dangerous to sleep in the top bed bc there isn't any barrier... To sum up: too expensive for what it is. Looks way better in the pictures than in reality.

I loved the hostel and the attention, above all. The room was super spacious and comfortable. Just one thing to add to this message posted on the wall: And those who make the rules can do so cause they stole the gold from America by enslaving the African peoples.

The cleanliness of the rooms is horrible. With the pillow cases and sheets having holes. Stains on the mattresses, pillows, with mould growing on the walls. If you value your health steer clear.

I had a very pleasant stay for 3 nights and was overall very impressed by the service of the staff the thoughtfulness of the spaces. I especially appreciated the tips, awareness and attentiveness from all of the receptionists. As a person with high sensitivity I would have enjoyed a more thought through lighting in the rooms. The bed lights were super bright and a cold blue. The head lights are not very pleasant when turned on while sleeping or just laying in the higher beds. Maybe more indirect lights would be a good solution. I also thought that it would be a nice solution to put drains directly outside the shower that would lead to the shower pipes so that the bathrooms don't get flooded as easy. Alternatively a hard plastic cover for the showers would be a price-worthy option to implement. I loved the community care and would have enjoyed to e.g. have a 'cooking together evening' organized by the hostel to also get to know the staff and the other guests a bit better 🧡 Very much recommend the Hostel and appreciate the safer space :)

I had a really nice overall experience in this hostel. The rooms were clean and spacious. I was especially pleased by the outstanding service and the friendliness of the staff. I was in the hostel with my school class and before my departure I forgot my phone there. They were so nice and send it to me in Germany immediately. The communication was easy, quick and reliable. They were very polite and kind. My phone arrived after a few days in perfect condition at home. Thank you to Marco K. and his colleagues for their effort, cooperation and honesty!

Staff is very friendly and got us a very nice room in the "penthouse" although apparently the house was full. Even our dogs were allowed on exception. Bicycles can be parked in a locked room in the cellar (no lift, just stairs). The room was very roomy and clean enough, same goes for the toilets and showers.

This hostel was quite nice. Reception was friendly if a bit unorganized at times. The food that they offered there was very affordably priced. The rooms were a bit cramped and the beds were not terribly comfortable. The hostel has written quotes regarding money in every room. Toilets were absolutely horrible. Small and cramped and smelling very strongly of urine. Shower rooms were adequate but shower curtains are not properly placed. As a result, unless you carefully tuck in the shower curtain, water will leak out onto the floors. The fact that it's in a bank building makes for some oddities in room configurations. However, going down to the basement and seeing the old vault with safe deposit boxes was mildly interesting. It has a small kitchen with microwave but nothing that you could really cook in. There is a locked room in which you can store your luggage before or after your stay. Finally, the location in the center of town absolutely cannot be beat. Note that this is definitely not a wheelchair accessible establishment. There are curved stairways with varying widths on stair risers. They do have an elevator, but you can only access it by getting a key from the front desk. It's also so small that it would only hold a small regular wheelchair.

Wow, have prices really gone up that much!? 50 Euro now? I stayed here during Covid Era, October 2020 and was playing 11 Euro per night. It was an amazing hostel: great, friendly staff; a nice little kitchen downstairs for cooking, a bar and cafe on the main level, and comfy, quiet rooms for sleeping. Good location too.

The place felt so dirty. The mattresses were filthy, the walls were grubby and the bathrooms and showers were really smelly. Girls from the floor below us came up to use our floor's bathroom on because the one on their floor smelt worse. That was concerning as ours was not great. The shower heads only had a hook a mid chest level so you had to awkwardly hold it one handed while showering. The location of the power points was also really inconvenient relative to where the beds were located. Thankfully a girl in our room had a multiple outlet adapter with USB-C, USB, and power plugs otherwise we would have been in trouble. The elevator was not working properly either so while our luggage could go up in it, it was not safe for people so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs. While I expect this to a degree in Europe, our tour leader said it was broken when they were previously here so I'm not sure what is taking so long for it to be fixed. Staff were friendly enough. The only reason to stay in this place though is the location. This hostel has many tacky quotes about money plastered on every wall, including how money can't buy you happiness. That may be true but money can buy you a far cleaner, nicer hotel room and that is a great start.

What a delightful place! The staff here is simply amazing - always kind, with impeccable manners, and ever ready to assist you with anything you need. I must give a special shoutout to the best receptionists I have ever encountered: the adorable blonde guy and the tall, lovely blonde girl. Their constant smiles and genuine care made my stay even more enjoyable. Kudos to the Manager as well, for having such exceptional people on the team! If there's any chance to reward them with a bonus, it would be well-deserved. Moreover, I found the other guests in the hostel to be incredibly friendly and open to socializing. We frequently went out together and explored the city as a group. In fact, I was so comfortable and captivated by the atmosphere that I extended my stay by two more nights to fully immerse myself in the city's charm. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's the perfect spot for a wonderful stay, surrounded by welcoming staff and like-minded travelers. While the kitchen space could benefit from a bit more attention and care, I must say, I appreciate that they have one that is quite decent! It's a small blessing to have access to a functional kitchen during my stay. :)

5 stars for the 2 brilliant ladies working at reception/breakfast on Saturday 18th September. One kindly let me use her bus card and they both went out of there way to help me out find a way back to bovec. Super kind and helpful. Thank you! And I'd say 3 stars for the amenities: showers aren't the best and I had no plugs near my bed, also maybe bad luck but the windows in the dorm I was staying didn't give us any fresh air (was super hot) as they were upon the atrium within the hostel. But all in all it was a great stay, good central location and amazing staff 👌🏻

My experience was very different from the positive reviews on here. There were so many issues: the wifi doesn't work, most of the toilets are out of order, the bed was hard and metallic and made a large clinking noise every time I turned. There was no aircon or ventilation (the windows opened into the internal atrium) and the room was incredibly hot and stuffy. I slept really badly both nights. The breakfast is incredibly poor and so little effort goes into it that in my opinion the hostel would be better off not offering anything at all. I will definitely never stay here again and I felt compelled to write this review to let others know what they would be letting themselves in for.

Excellent place to stay. Clean, super friendly and helpful receptionists with lots of honest recommendations and tipps. Easy to stay and fancy interior desgin. Right in the center close to the river and lots of restaurants, bars and shops.

10 stars for the staff, cleaned very well, good beds, checking in early was possible, nice bed, luggage room could be used, nice common room, only thing was that the room was very warm, outside of that, perfect!

  • 3/5 emma d. 2 years ago on Google
The staff is super nice! The decoration of the rooms is nice! The location is PERFECT. But to be honest I expected better. I was in a room for 6 girls. The electrical outlets were all grouped together and far from the beds, not a big problem but not very practical. My sheet was torn in some places…. And a detail but too annoying, the bed lights turn on when someone enters the room, randomly and sometimes on beds where no one is sleeping so you have to move to go turn off even at night. It would also be nice to add curtains for some privacy. There are bad smells in the toilets and the bathroom, I have the impression that this is a ventilation problem because cleaning is done regularly 🙏 The common areas are large and that's a good thing, but they are located in the basement, I did not find them very user-friendly. Despite this, I had a good stay and I thank you for your warm welcome! Also, I did not have time to give you these feedbacks and I apologize for that. Good continuation ! 🙏

This is a very cozy hostel! This is not just the place to stay and sleep. Staff their are so nice that they became our friends. Always ready to help and talk, interested in their clients. Hostel is clean, comfortable with tasty breakfast and kitchen where you can cook by yourself. Location is super, in the heart of Lujbljana. Thank you for everything, guys!

While the staff were great and the location is excellent, I wouldn't stay here again and would not recommend this hostel to others. Personally, I found it very stuffy - the rooms I stayed in had no outside ventilation, with the windows opening to an enclosed atrium. Said atrium also created an echo chamber up the building, so it can be very noisy in the evening. With the aircon not working, it didn't make for a good night's sleep. I also didn't feel it was particularly clean and there weren't many toilets for the number of beds per floor. Breakfast was a very small selection of standard hostel fare. As there's a Spar next door, I'd recommend picking up food from there instead.

Very nice place directly in the centre. Cozy, clean room, great receptionist. Everything clean, breakfast is equal to price. Two minuses : Is it so expensive to have a curtains, especially if you have a windows directly on the bed at the opposite side :) There were issues with a/c and nobody was willing to help us. We had 28 degrees on room.

The hostel it’s okay but the staff rude and not friendly. For 2 times they just walked in my private room without knocking, luckily I was dressed. The first time that they walked in the room, the blond skinny staff guy, didn’t even apologize. I’m disappointed for the staff behaviour.

  • 1/5 Mario Cercas P. 1 year ago on Google
The staff was really kind and always happy to help or even join you if you wanted to party or whatnot. The only problem was the director, she doesn't care about the guests at all and will try to strip you off of all the money that she cans as its the only thing she cares about. The bathrooms had a horrible stench but she didn't do anything to solve it, on the other hand she had set up a elevator that breaks every day and charges you money for the repairs when it clearly isn't meant to be used. I wouldn't advise to stay here, but if you pass by stay to share a beer with the staff they are pretty cool.

Staff are really nice. Location, super convenient too. AC was on! Others, not quite the hostel standard(almost the worst hostel I've stayed). Kitchen not really functioning, only fridge is fine! Dark and tiny shower space; tiny toilet room; very low bunk bed so you couldn't sit properly at the lower bed; very few tabletop in the room so everyone is un/packing on the floor; bed lights are too bright; holes on the ceiling, crowd entrance space on ground floor, empty seats at basement but a giant atrium without enough seating furniture. They really need an architect and interior designer to organize the place better.

Everything is quite nice. Especially the staff, friendly, helpful and professional. They speak English language, so there is no language barriers. Located at the city centre, everything is close. If you need place to spend the night this is the right place for you. The prices are affordable, showers and toilets are clean. The coffee at the reception is the best.🙂 I can only recommend to everyone.

Room I was given was brilliant, one of the best sleeps I've had in a hostel (however it would benefit from more convenient sockets). Staff are exceptional and incredibly friendly, the best receptionists I've ever encountered. Location literally couldn't be any better too. Only downside is it is showing a few signs of wear and tear but nothing too bad.

Please AVOID! This hostel needs some serious renovations, worst stay at a hostel i have had. The room had no air conditioning, so the windows were always left open as it was over 30 celsius at night but these windows need some screen or net installation as there were many bugs! We killed 3 roaches/ beetles in our room aswell as in our beds. When I arrived my sheets were holey and dirty. The walls and ceilings have many holes with wires and pipes exposed. The showers and bathrooms were dark and cramped and the locks are dingy as it is just a hook, I had someone open the shower door while I was still in there, not a pleasant experience! The staff however are friendly but that is the only redeeming quality aswell as location which is just not enough.

Right in the center of the beautiful city, really good service, 24/7 front desk, very spacious dorms with multiple common areas. There's also a functioning kitchen where you can cook food, and store food in the refrigerator. Showers are also good 😄

This is the best place I have ever stayed at. The receptionists are incredible. I have never met nicer people in my life The rooms, bathrooms etc. are clean. You get a free towel and free access to luggage storage and a locker for valuables Will definitely stay here again and again every time I come to Ljubljana Hope to see you soon!

Perfect location, young friendly personal. If you get a shared room than the price is very friendly. I appreciated the location the most. There is a possibility of cooking, refridgerator, etc. At the bar you can buy a coffee, beer and some limonades. Nice lobby on the 1.floor, perfect working spot. Next to the hostel is a supermarket. Loved it here! Thank you guys.

Excellent location. Good hostel, overall clean, the staff are great, very helpful. Loved the phrases of the walls, very funny. I arrived in Spring (April) and they had the heating on, it was scorching hot inside, but luckily they turned it off within the day. There's a coffee place right at the entrance, I didn't eat there, but that's very useful.
