If you care abour your car, steer away immediately!! Besides the dirt and the lousy quality of the room amenities (won't even start with the bathroom and how the shower cabin leaks everywhere) as well as the fact that there's more uncovered dirty holes in the walls than a piece of swiss cheese, we also had a minor accident in the parking. Someone touched the front side of our car, and as with the rest of the hotel, nothing was well thought through with that parking lot - everyone just parks however they want and the CCTV barely covers any footage. After a 4h wait for the police to arrive, the receptionist told us (probably because he felt bad for us) that we were going to get the costs covered, which was also confirmed by the daughter of the owner via the same receptionist. The second day, when we checked out, the receptionist (another one) never heard of the incident (obviously handovers don't exist in this hotel idk what I expected) and she was very disrespectful in telling us that we have insurance and they don't owe us anything. I cannot even comprehend the lack of respect and professionalism - no problem with the actual amount of money, but rather promising and then not keeping it, as well as while waiting for the police, no one offered us even a cup of coffee. This is the place where hospitality is dying 💀 P.S. there is a literal helipad next to the hotel and tens of ambulances as there is the biggest hospital of Ljubljana located in the building glued to the hotel, maybe consider as well before booking :)

The position is reasonable good, well connected to the city center by bike sharing. There is a number of issues, though, that make this place unacceptable. - the rooms facing the hospital are noisy, also at night - the facility is visible not taken care of: missing bulbs around, shower cabin that leaks and floods the bathroom, electric sockets without proper cover - the staff is unprepared and unorganized, the principal is very unprofessional. We arrived after reception calling time so we found the key ready in a dedicated box with the request to check-in the morning after. We noticed immediately that the room was dirty, floor dusty, and there was still trash from the previous guest. Only the beds were done. On the very next morning we mentioned this to the reception at check-in and asked for an extra cleaning, since it had not been performed before we entered the room. He said the cleaning staff would of course pass by during the day. Surprisingly, we found the room undone when we came back, meaning it had not been cleaned at all, for the second day in a row, even despite our request. I went straight to the reception and asked for immediate cleaning. The receptionist, a girl this time, said the cleaning staff had already left 5 hours earlier and there was nothing she could do, but she would call the principal, who was the receptionist I talked to in the morning. I would be at the reception the day after, when we should check out. The last day, the cleaning staff endured our room at 8:30, while we were naked, even if the room was locked from the inside. When we checked out, the receptionist (same girl as previous night) reported the the principal neglected our request from previous day, just as if this was an excuse for not cleaning our room for two days is in a row. I mentioned, this is really an embarrassing way of working for a hotel, never experienced before. I had already been in this hotel last year, but I will never repeat this error again.

-the room was dirty from the beginning. There was trash from previous people on the floor -the shower cabin was not properly sealed and leaked on the floor, making the bathroom unusable for hours -there was dust and dirt on the floor, we couldn’t walk without shoes -we arrived after reception closing time so we found the key ready and we’re asked to check-in the next morning. As soon as we entered the room we realised it had not been cleaned: the floor was dusty and trash from previous guests. Only the beds were done. There was nothing we could do due to the time so we asked for an extra cleaning of the room as soon as we checked in the day after. We were assured that the cleaning staff would pass by during the day to clean the room. In the evening when we came back the room had not been cleaned at all. No one came during the day to clean, so we asked a second time to clean but the cleaning staff had already left. The receptionist told us that the manager denied we asked for an extra cleaning. We asked to talk to the manager again but he didn’t show up. Very unprofessional. The fact the the owner denied our request is actually a dumb and irritating reply on so many levels: first of all, cleaning were due anyway, even if we had not asked for extra care, but the room was left undone even during our stay. Second, he was implying that we were lying. Third it was himself to give us guarantee that cleaning staff would pass, with other guests witnessing his statement, so he can actually be proven lying. -on the last day, the cleaning staff entered the room while we were naked, even if the room was locked from the inside, and with this they passed all the limits of acceptance -bulbs were missing in the bedside table lamps so we couldn’t use them

DO NOT STAY HERE. We booked this on a whim, last minute and wanted to stay closer to downtown. Location was weird being next to a hospital- the ambulance bay and heliport were right outside our window, but it's walkable to downtown so it wasn't terrible. That is about the most positive thing I can say. I don't really know where to begin. It was advertised as having wifi. There was no wifi. It was also "non-smoking" but the entire place smelled like cigarette smoke. Well, ok, seems like false-advertising, but not a deal breaker I guess. Well, that was before we discovered that not a single light, aside from one, worked in our room. There were stains on our pillows and I'm not sure the room had been cleaned in weeks. Also advertised as being air-conditioned, but, you guessed it, didn't work. We stayed there for all of 15 minutes before we decided we could not stay in this hotel, and we were clearly misled based on the advertising. We checked out almost immediately. We were quite annoyed at this point as we had wasted our time, but when we asked for a refund were denied. This is borderline theft. So we booked the room based on false premises, and when we pointed this out and requested a refund we were denied. We booked another hotel nearby that gives an iota of care to their property and had a wonderful stay for the rest of our time in Ljubljana. If the above critiques do not seem like a big deal then you might enjoy it here. If you have any standards whatsoever or don't appreciate being grossly misled then stay far, far away.

Overall good experience for the price. We had to wait 1,5 hours at check-in before we could enter the room due to cleaning. The hotel is situated next to a hospital, which didn’t bother us at all. The room was clean and cool when we arrived. However, the staff didn’t clean our room during our stay, even when asked. We had to ask for new towels ourselves. The reception staff is friendly. Walking to the city center is max 15 minutes.

Good but this is not a 3 star hotel, no fridge in rooms, no view from the Windows but for sleep and bed quality is ok

The good: close to the city centre (15min walk), fair pricing. The bad: rooms are a bit dated. There were stains around the airconditioning vent and some mold in the shower. Windows oriented towards the East, so not great for late sleepers. In some sort of mall complex next to a hospital so not the most charming location. No 24h reception. Breakfast is so-so.

Very close to Ljubljana centre, hotel Meksiko offers simple and cosy rooms for all purposes. My room was spatious yet I found residues of previous residents. The staff was excellent, helpful, there is a small hotel parking lot for visitors and the breakfast was very good. I recommend it, definitely a good cost/benefit ratio.

To start, the suite had comfortable beds and a pretty cool desk, using a modern style,on the other hand the landscape was awkhard(even though many others could see the city center)and the room was quite too essential. About the service: the breakfast was decent, but once again everything was too essential. Now, I calmly suggest you to add some paintings or to color a bit both the suites and the reception floor. However, if it costs too much, I wouldn't do anything at all. For the other people I recommend this Hotel for short trips. Having said that, thanks for reading and have a great day👌👌♟

Rooms are fair, clean and spacious. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 15-20 min walk from the city centre. It’s also next to the hospital, so ambulances might come and go - our room wasn’t facing the hospital so there weren’t any noise issues for us. Checking in and out was smooth Hotel’s parking spaces are limited - the staff will tell you this after the reservation. Keep in mind that if you arrive by car and there are no parking spaces available (I guess the staff mostly uses the available parking spaces) you will have to park your car in a nearby parking garage or on the streets. It’s quite pricey, we paid 30€ for ~14hrs

Great value for money place to stay. Rooms were large, clean and warm. Excellent shower. 10 mins walk from centre if town. Staff were friendly and efficient. Late night check in was useful as our flight was delayed. Certainly use again

Room was spacious. Easy to walk to or from the centre and the main rail and bus station. No noise issues from being by hospital A&E. You do have to walk through a shopping precinct to get to the entrance, where people will be smoking, if that is a gripe that you have.

My room was really great, big, two bedrooms. It was very clean and they changed the towel after just one night. Breakfast should be way better, and I didn't like the location of the hotel becouse it was very close to the hospital / ER and there was sirens and you can see sick people from the window.

The room had no air condition, and it was hot.... also, coming by the car, beware, there is a Garage called Meksiko attached to the hotel Meksiko, and one would presume that it belongs to the hotel. So we parked there and hoped to get reimboursed, oh we were wrong on that, costs 17 eur, it automatically takes a daily rate even if one stays - say just a few hours. There is also no breakfast option, while nearby hospital view is not very romantic.

Is a central located hotel. Clean, close to Aldi, coffee shops, pharmacy, and the hospital is next door. Good for the price. Front desk is efficient, could be less cold.

Had a lovely two night stay, rooms were nice and had everything we needed. It is located next to a hospital but we didn’t hear anything throughout the night or day so wasn’t an issue for us. Only a 10 minute walk to the train station and is also close to the Metalkova arts centre.

Good decent size rooms, clean and comfy beds. The staff were very friendly, in particular Roc who was very quick to deal with our queries and ensure we were comfortable during the stay. In addition to Ales, the office manager who helped to sort out shuttle back to the airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This nice hotel is within a walking distance from the city center of Ljubljana. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well decorated. The breakfast was nice. A parking garage is available, but you need to pay extra for it.

This hotel was such a letdown. First of all it is located next to a hospital equipped with a helipad. Imagine the pleasure to wake up at 7 am for the sirenes. We had the superior double bedroom, which maybe never been booked before, as the dust on eversthing was like months old. Yes, the room was dirty, even the bedsheets... TV - which is usually not important for a hotel, except when your 2 years old want to watch a little cartoon - was not working. Breakfast was very general and place in a restaurant next door which was clearly not built for this. Staff was negligent. Parking was available for 15€/24 hours in a garage next door. The cost of the hotel was really expensive and we had to pay at arrival for the whole term which is riddiculus. One good point: it is located 5-10 minutes walk from the city center...

Great place to stay while in Ljubljana. Breakfast is server in the cafe immediately next door and there’s a Hoffer (ALDI) on the same block. It’s about a 10-15 min walk from the city center, depending on your pace. And the walk was very safe even late at night. The staff was very friendly and the price was super reasonable.

First thing you notice is the helpfull staff. + Great rooms! Very clean and spacious! + Breakfast was good + Very close to the main attractions of the city (about 1-1,5km) - The position of the hotel entrace is not on the street so you will have to search a little to find it. - No free parking. Although they can provide you for a 24 hours parking card at €12,00 for the adjacent parking lot, iwch in order to get to it you will have to walk about half square in the open. Great hotel. I will have it in mind for the next time

We had a spacious room. Enough cupboards and enough space to put down 3 large and 2 smaller suitcases. The breakfast, included in the price, was excellent. And our car had secure covered parking at a nominal fee. You will not be disappointed if you book at Hotel Meksiko.

Friendly staff. You will get what you pay for. A water boiler or a coffee machine in rooms would be perfect.
