Run as fast as you can away from this hostel (prison). We had low expectations considering the price, but this was worse than I could ever have imagined. Walking in to the room, you could feel the bedbugs attach you immediately. It smelled like someone had smoked in there for 30 years and the sheaths had suspicious brown stains on it. Also the door handle was not attached to the door. We spent 10 min in the room while searching for another accommodation. When we finally left we ran you if there with a feeling that we wanted to get tested for every deices possible. Only good thing was that it was a nice staircase and a kind receptionist that gave us our money back.

Don’t, unless you really really really want a good location. atmosphere is grim, no lockers for luggage, can't leave luggage after checkout, reception often unmanned and its very nasty in general. Just pay 10 euros more for another hostel

Good for those on a budget, but be aware that you will know you're saving money when you're there. There are no cages for bags and belongings, and security overall is not the best. The rooms are not cleaned thoroughly, and the beds are serviceable but definitely the least comfortable out of all the hostels we've stayed in. Overall, its a fine hostel to save some cash, but just set your expectations accordingly (and bring bike locks for your bags).

A friendly, cheap place to stay in centre of Ljubljana. We took the local bus from the airport (€4.10) and then it was a 10 minute walk from bus stop. Property is basic but clean in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen area is very small but it worked well. Pillows are lumpy and bed is firm. You can hear the church bells ringingevery hour which I liked but I can see that others might find it annoying. Lots of delightful eateries along the riverfront.

Very very basic hostel. Massive shared rooms, very creaky beds, thin mattresses, the staff don’t go into the rooms, so when we arrived at the room there was rubbish everywhere, empty mugs and glasses, the beds we were meant to use weren’t stripped, and the room was smelly and hot. Staff are not friendly. If you need one night to crash then maybe consider this one, but basically if you are staying for a few days this is not worth your money.

Perfect for backpackers on a low budget. This place is reminiscent of old times. There are three flights of stairs so if you have a lot of baggage I would store your luggage downstairs. Bathrooms are strictly shared. Staff was very helpful and high energy.

Really nice hostel right downtown and at the same time close to the bus and train station. Friendly staff ready to help you. Really high recommended. Just notice that showers are mixed

The hostel was pretty average. All the bed linen is left on the bed for you to spread out and put onto the duvet and pillow case. The showers are shared, but that wasn't a problem for me. There is a communal space on the top floor with a kitchen the too. Nothing to complain about, really.

Didn’t have the biggest expectations, but was positively surprised. Really friendly staff, perfect location and a good place for young travelers.

For being in the center of LJ the price is by far fair enough. But be aware that you shouldn't expect much more for the price. The bathrooms are not very clean and especially the toilets smell strange. You're not able to lock large luggages in the room itself. For the little cupboards you have to bring your own lock. The beds seem to be very old, but you can sleep well in it. WiFi is horrible, expect in some corners in the corridors. For just one or two days it was okay, but Not recommended for longer stay in LJ.

The mattresses are terrible. You almost sleep directly on the bedframe. The toilets were really smelly. Its located in the center and has kitchens on every floor. For 2 nights its ok but i wouldnt want to stay longer. You should know that 15€ for the dorm is without taxes, with taxes it's 18€ per night. Book with Hostelworld to get the 15€ offer.

The hostel provides adequate sleeping rooms, has friendly and helpful staff, and is located in the heart of Ljubljana. The rooms are not amazing, but I would not expect them to be considering the price of the rooms. The shared bathrooms are okay but the showers are a bit outdated, both seemed rather clean during our stay. The hostel has a shared kitchen (fridge, hob, pots and pans, kettle, microwave, plates and bows, and cutlery) which definitely came in handy for us. The hostel didn't have any lockers in place, which worked out okay for us as we had a private room, but guest should be aware of that. There are some small lockers in the hallway (need your own lock), however they are few and very small, hence no doubt meant for valuable items only. The hostel does allow you to store your bags in the building aftet checkout. A few things that could be done to improve the hostel are: repaint everything as there are a few stains/marks, add proper lockers, update toilets and showers, have some fans or AC for hire, and maybe add post-it-notes near the fridge so that guests could tell others to use their food. This is definitely a budget hostel, hence don't expect ground breaking things, but it provides you with everything you'd want and is in a good location.

The location is perfect. The staff was friendly. The rooms are quite dirty and not well maintained. The toilets have not been cleaned for a while, with mold in the corners. There were also fly nests in the showers. For the price I would have expected more.
