It was an horrible experience despite of the beauty of Ljubljana. The hostel was so filthy, the bathrooms were so dirty, the rooms were dirty, the floors were not cleaned at all and the beds had bed bugs. We were hitching throughout all our stay in there. Nobody cleans the showers and the bed sheets were dirty. The receptionists were not helpful either. The wifi was always bugging and the window of the room was broken. Half of your experience in a place is the place you sleep, so I believe you can get a better place for the same price in order to enjoy this lovely city with kind people.

Horrible! The worst place I've ever stayed! I wouldn't go back even though it was free. I wonder how this filthy place is still opened. Keep away from this dirty hostel. It does not suit for anybody. It is perfect to shoot a horror movie

What can I say? I'd like to say something good before I get into the details... the receptionist was nice and friendly. We took a twin bed and booked on the day. The room is Spartan and smelled like stale cigarettes. There was hair in one of the twin beds indicating that maybe the sheets weren't changed. The room is clean however, but clearly rundown. There are nails pinned to the wall with no pictures hanging coupled with the white lighting gave the room an abandoned hospital atmosphere. The men's toilet smells very foul, the women's less so. It is about a 35 minute walk from the town centre or a 15 minute bus ride. Considering you can rent a whole apartment closer to the centre for about €10 more per night it is a wonder people choose to stay here. We wanted the cheapest possible option, but at €32 per night this is hugely over priced. If it wants to present itself as a budget option it should reflect that in the price. I think €10 per person per night is the most I would pay to stay here if the local abandoned abattoir had run out of space.

This is easily the worst place I have ever stayed, it is absolutely filthy as the pictures will show, the beds make you feel itchy, there’s bugs constantly flying around and the whole place stinks of cigarettes. Not to mention the people who come here blasting music all night, drinking and most likely taking drugs. Overall a disgusting experience, stay anywhere else but here!

SKETCHY ACCOMODATION!! Worst hostel I've been to (and I've been to quite a few), apart from the receptionists, which seem to be quite nice, everything is sketchy. The kitchen has no supplies, not even the basics like pans and pots, and it has one tiny fridge for the whole hostel, for this reason it is always full. The room is simple but funcional but there are a few things that need changing that have not been changed (for example, one light bulb doesn't work, we've been here for a few weeks and although we have asked, they have not changed it). The bathrooms are not too clean and they constantly stop working. The windows don't work properly, we have seen cockroaches... We have been here more than 2 weeks and even though we have asked, they are not changing the sheets. They don't provide you with anything. Everything in this place is old and is falling apart. I definitely will not come back!

Avoid at all costs...creepy men, moths in the showers, cockroaches in the bedroom, no kitchen supplies, only 1 working toilet, 1 small fridge amongst everyone...and people ate my food

Worst place I've ever stayed. The shared bathroom was always dirty, the rooms were never cleaned and the whole building was stinking. There were supposed to be facilities such as a kitchen but nobody would want to cook there.

This place was actually better than i thought looking at all the other reviews..have to say it wasnt particularly dirty.. certainly wasnt super clean either. Its a bit if a dive essentially. There was a sink in the room which actually came in handy, and the bathrooms were seperate and kind of bad. But for the price doesn't deserve 1 star.

Simple, but good for a few days trip. The WC and the bathroom is clean enough. The walls are thin, but the beds are comfortable and also clean. It's only 15 min. far from the city center by foot. The staff is friendly and kind. We spent there 2 nights 2017.09.22-24. You can pay by credit card too.

I loved the centre of the city and the cleaning and fresh air all overthere but not the accomodation. This was a closed place, bad smell in the room, corridor and toilet. no towel and dirty blankets, yellow water for the shower. Never anymore, sorry. I have been in so many other hostels but all were more clean.

Very small rooms , hygiene not good enough , heaters not working

Good location. Within short walk to the city centre. Room was clean, and while quite basic that is to be expected from the price. The name also gives it away :-) The toilets and showers were clean. The showers were hot. The receptionist was helpful and spoke good English. Excellent value for money.

I m staying here... Affordable at low cost...

Worst place. Feels like refuge camp.
