A very well located restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and surprisingly the food was served very quickly. The meals were very delicious. There are also some draft beers. I would recommend making a reservation although we were actually lucky with the space at lunchtime. The decorations in the restaurant were very well done :) gladly again!

Wasn't sure how to use the urinals but luckily my friend provided a useful diagram. The food and cocktails were amazing!

The food looked good and was very tasty, as were the drinks. We had lunch in front of the restaurant. Good portion size, we were all full. Definitely a recommendation. The service was fine.

We had a plate of tapas for two and sticky fingers. It was great! A great way to taste different things and everything was very tasty. Ambient on the lively street is also very nice but can be loud. The prices are also high.

It was one of the best mexican restaurants in Ljubljana but that has changed. The main dish was well-prepared but nothing special. The desert Leche Pina (picture) wasn't as good as I had remembered. The Pina Colada wasn't at all good. I guess mojito would have been a better choice.

Joe Peña’s Cantina – ¡Ay, caramba! This review is for all you Tex-Mex addicts out there. You won’t have to worry night and day about getting your fix in Ljubljana. This particular restaurant will perfectly cater to your quirky culinary addiction. While living in the States,I fell in love with this cuisine. Little did I know that it’s not the same as traditional Mexican food. Apparently, it uses a narrower base of ingredients, more adapted to the taste buds of us gringos. Nevertheless, I have been on an eternal burrito quest since my foreign adventure. Now, let me tell you about my favorite Tex-Mex-dealer in Slovenia, Joe Peña’s. In combination with the interior, their flavorsome dishes always take me for a toothsome spin. So, unchain your heart, follow my lead and give into your pseudo-Mexican food cravings. It can happen that you’ll have to wait a little while before you get a table. However, that’s because this restaurant is popular with an extensive range of locals from our society’s various layers. So, order that well-deserved Joe’s margarita. Then, patiently await your turn, and picture yourself standing next to Hemingway, discussing how he caught that legendary swordfish on the wall. When you’re finally seated, I recommend ordering a bowl of fresh, finger-licking-good guacamole as your appetizer. The waiter will crush those pesky avocados, season them, and double-check which condiments you want in your dip on the spot. All the while, you can sip on that second classic frozen margarita. Enjoy!

I found this place by chance but it was really nice. I ate a lot and for a good price. The food was really tasty and the staff really kind and courteous . Free tap water. Cheap side dishes with plenty of food. I really recommend.

Extremely disappointed in the enchiladas, the sauce is supposed to smother the tortilla, not barely cover it. I had to ask for salsa in order to not have dried out, overcooked corn tortilla. The rice was undercooked that it was still crunchy, and the entire platter overall came out in less than 5 minutes after I ordered it and at room temp. The server was kind and attentive, but unfortunately, the food just downplayed the rest.

Nice music, good food but the service was not great. No checking on us or taking away food when we're finished, non of that. Good atmosphere and great beer.

During the week they have a daily lunch specials menu for good prices, but I find the flavours to be better with non-special options. Quick service and can usually get a table even at busy times.

Horrible, really horrible food. Borderline inedible. My companion and I tried four different "Mexican" dishes. If you ever tried real Mexican food or TexMex you will understand this review. Keep your distance if you want to experience a foreign culinary experience. The service is OK and the place could be a bit noisy, but the setting is nice, well decorated and very clean, like most of restaurants in Ljubljana.

Charming Mexican restaurant near the city centre. A wide array of Mexican dishes is available, and portions are quite big. There's a big selection of drinks and desserts also. You can have a student meal as well here. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is very pleasant.

Really good, but also extremely expensive mexican restaurants. The prices for main dishes start from 12 Euro and even for the quality it feels a bit overpriced. As i mentioned the food is in every aspect really tasty and the portions are big, so that you will probably get satisfied, but everything has his price. The atmosphere is like in a mixture of a bar and a restaurant and during the weekend in the evening it gets quickly full and it seems that Slovenian people like this place. Understandably but a bit overestimated.

Cocktails, food and staff was perfect. I visit Ljubljana very often but was never there. After today I'll be there more often.

The dining room has a cheerful, friendly vibe. Soup with tortillas was surprisingly bland. Meat nachos were generous and were served piping hot, but nearly ruined by too much cheese. The cheese completely overwhelmed the other flavors. With one-fifth as much cheese they probably would have been good.

Lots of choices, both vegetarian and with meat. Absolutely delicious food and portions are enough (especially when you get an appetiser). Cocktails were very nice too.

One of the best Mexican 🇲🇽 🌮 restaurants in Ljubljana. I really love their signature dessert which is mix of pineapple, whipped cream, dough, chocolate.. And god knows what else, but is it delicious.

The most authentic Mexican and TexMex in Ljubljana, maybe even Slovenia. Tasty food, great drinks, fast service and pleasant waiters. But some of my friends won’t like it because it’s different from the Slo-Mex restaurants they are used to. Their loss!

Nice cozy Mexican restaurant in Ljubjlana. Nice table side prepared guacamole and tasty salsa. I enjoyed a plate of Flautas and a tasty mago and then strawberry margarita. Friendly staff but a very busy restaurant so be patient with them it is worth it!

Really good food. Good Mexican ambient. Good beer, good tequila, and home made ice tea. We were here so many times that I forgot to count. Good for party good for job partys etc etc Recommended from my side 👍
