Savica Waterfall One of the most visited attractions in Slovenia - Savica Waterfall is located at the far end of Lake Bohinj in Triglav National Park With a height of 78 metres, it is also one of the highest waterfalls in Slovenia We pulled into the main car park at Lake Boeng which is free this time of year and walked to the waterfall which took us about 1 hour and 20 minutes. There is parking at the waterfall (which we didn't park at as we were worried about the windy single road leading up to it but we would have been fine) This cuts out an hour walk so you only get the 20 minute hike to get to the waterfall It costs 3 euros each to go see the waterfall, The last photo is the home of the night We are so excited to come back to Slovenia and explore more of this country because we really love it here

AWESOME! But be careful, there some touristic sites like Bohinj or Bled. For us the trip within the Soča Valley was the best! Also the hike to the mangart is worth a visit. There're many nice places, you just need to have a look right and left. We absolute recommend the Soča Valley starting from Bovec - there many nice camping sites. Also direct next to the Soča river and you can make nice homes to the source of Soča river.

One of the best parks I have ever been too. Worth a visit for a few days or weeks if you are in the area. So many hiking trails, water sports, and biking opertunities. Lots of small towns to stop in for snacks. Next time, I hope to check out backpacking to the different huts in the mountains.

100% recommended. The raised boardwalk one-way trail is really neat, however, word of caution.... looping back up the slope and along the forest road requires exercise. Similar to climbing a 60-story building elevation.

Always great to hike any part of TNP. All the paths are well maintained and the mountain trails well marked. If you are hiker, just take few days to explore wonderful waterfalls, pristine glacier lakes, and white summits of Julian Alps

Walking around the lake Bohinj. About 12km route. Perfect for running or even with children. One can jump to the crystal clean and cold lake pretty much anywhere.

It is amazing place, where one can find any kind of activity. Hiking, cycling, paragliding, swimming… skiing in winter. This place is easy to reach from the highway, but every time it will surprise you with something new. Just go there, start with Kranjska gora or Mojstrana. There you can check all possible activities you can do there.

The Triglav National Park is indeed a very nice place to visit for everyone who likes hiking. The nature is beautiful and there are a lot of places to visit for people with different levels of experience and physical conditions. You will definitely need at least 10 days to visit the main attractions. However, what I did not like is the necessity to pay for everything, especially parking. Sometimes it can be very expensive. Also the tourist services are not as developed as in the Austrian Alps. Some of the roads should be maintained better but there are lots of road works in progress so it will definitely get better. Still, we enjoyed our holidays and may come back in the future.

A beautiful place to visit with stunning scenery. If you can, take the cable car from Lake Bohinj to see all the mountains

It's a mountainous forest with gorges and huge waterfalls. You have options on which area to visit and how to go around the park. For me, I chose the Vintgar Gorge which has huge waterfalls and clear, icy river running along the gorge surrounded by big, tall trees. The views are amazing. If you rent a bike or got here by taxi, you need to go back to where you parked your bike or where you were dropped off by taxi. Just a subtle warning: the red gate on the way back is very steep and long. Take the green gate if open, this is less steep and more convenient.

An absolutely stunning National Park. The mountains are incredible - lots of trails that are well marked and maintained. Very steep hills (definitely bring some food and drink).

Beautiful, mountainous national park in Slovenia. Full of beautiful rivers and stunning waterfalls. Great hikes, both for beginners and for more advanced hikers. One of the most wonderful natural spots in Europe. Also contains multiple mountain lakes, Bohinjsko Lake the biggest and most spectacular of them. Some of the craziest mountain roads in Europe are here.

Green and clean, amazing nature, discover beautiful mountain pastures and lakes. If you go hiking, be careful, ask at local turist board and weather conditions, during summer afternoon short storms can appear very quickly

Wonderful national park in the Slovenian Alps. Very remote and a lot less busy than the mountains in the German speaking countries. Very steep high alpin mountains, wonderland for hiking and via ferratas. Triglav itself offers spectacular views 360°. So worth a visit. Shorter hikes available, really long ones, multi day hikes etc.

What a beautiful place. We have been there with a camper (trailer) and you have to be aware of the narrow streets. Use your horn to warn others on the streets. Apart from that it really is a beautiful place on earth.
