Great castle to visit if in the area with lots of history going back centuries to present day. They also have many floors you can visit. Tickets are only 5 euros. However, some exhibits didn’t have the English translation.

Honestly, the castle is nothing special but I was surprised how informative and well structured the museum is.

I haven't seen the castle museum inside but there is a free parking and a nice little park good for a picnic. And most of all near the castle starts a very nice trail (2.7 km long) with beautiful views.

Super place of interest! The castle has three floors, each with different exhibition, displaying history, local customs and traditions. There are also paintings and stuffed animals. Museum itinerary can be followed by children too. The personnel is helpful and the ticket is very cheap. You can also take a walk in the garden, which has various piece of interest. Absolutely recommend!

Very good exhibitions and some effort has been put into the restoration of this castle by professionals.

Place where you can learn a lot about history, heritage and tradition of Škofja Loka. We had an excellent tour guide.

The castle is on a small hill, that takes about 10 minutes to get to the entrance from the street, inside is a museum, which was only 5 Euro per person (Adult) and for its price it was big with a wide variety of things to see - local nature, traditions, small chapel and history of the castle and region. There is also a small park nearby which is free of charge.

Great ethnographic museum with some modern art and design on show. Friendly and idiosyncratic, with a superb location. Lets dogs in too - with Aircon this was a godsend mid summer.

Beautiful Castle I wish we could have visited inside. BUT we were part of an organized tour (Eshet Tours) which unfortunately was not a success as too little time was allocated for too many attractions. There is a lot of to see inside so make enough time for it in order not to waste this beautiful site.

Great venue for events. Open space, secluded and offers a feeling of privacy. It is easily accessible, 10 minute walk from BUS stop. (although the castle is on a hill top). Škofja Loka itself is a "work of art". I recommend a visit.

The castle is in the beautiful village of Skofa Loka which is full of wonderful buildings, situated along a clean wide river. The castle is very scenic from the outside and has a good value café where I had a delicious homemade lemonade. There are plenty of places to eat in the village too and shops, both tourist and regular. The village and the castle are well worth a visit. It is easy to get too, about an hour or so by bus from Ljubljana.

I saw the castle from the outside, looks cool. There is a nice bar that is newly renovated and where they serve nice nice cocktails.

Only visited cafeteria today. The prices are a little bit high, but when compared the prices, quality, services and everything else with the Ljubljana Castle, they got 5* from us. They beat Ljubljana in every category...

👍 This is a nice village, very close to Ljubljana. It can be a good destination for half a day over the week end. It can get busy, though.

👍👍 Konglomeratna jama v neposredni bližini Loke. Prvi teden v juniju ima vsako leto jamarski društvo dan odprtih vrat. Priporočam! Vse pohvale jamarjem!
