Beautiful waterfall, well worth of your visit. There is a slow half hour walk from the parking lot to the waterfall. The gravel road is wide and well maintained, easy to access for the elderly or small children. Better not to go with a stroller. There is a parking fee and an entrance fee during the tourist season but in the late fall/winter it's free.

A beautiful gorge with a waterfall that you should not miss. From the parking it takes about 30 minutes on a comfortable stony road, it is manageable for everyone. You can enjoy the views of Soca, you can go down to the river and take a bath. With a bit of effort, it is also suitable for families with an all-terrain stroller. Entrance to the waterfall itself is paid, in case you are early bird and make it before 8am, it is free 😉

As recommendation: visit the fall very early or in the evening (Op. hrs 08 am to 08 pm). Unfortunately, too many stay too long on the viewing platform during the day and jostle / push around - no consideration for the fact that others also want to take pictures (unfortunately, to many people are selfish). And in addition a large group (>20) that climbed and jumped. So no opportunity for nice photos, because some jumpers hesitated in fear and that in the middle of the waterfall....a shame! Take the suspension bridge with the great view on the river …it‘s so beautiful!

This is how the waterfall really looks like. They charged us 5€ per person for the entrance. The waterfall is definitely not worth the money. I would suggest going before 8 am, then its free. There were no toilets.

If you are in the area, this is a must! It's gorgeous and definitely worth the enrty fee. Beware there are some steep steps with wire to hang on to. There are some bridges with no railing. Wear good grippy shoes as the rock are slippery when wet. The water fall is amazing!

A great place to visit. More by luck we got there early and there was no one else there which made it really nice. The viewing platform is well placed so even if there are other people they will not get in your photos. However photos don't do this place justice, it's one of those places you visit because of a nice picture but it's so much better in real life. Water level was low when we went, getting along the path when the water level rises would add a whole new experience as you go along the ledge. You should wear descent shoes on the last bit. The walk from the carpark to the pay hut is quite long and we encountered people who thought they had gone the wrong way but from the pay hut to the waterfall it's not far. The walk starts in hay meadows, then on a path above the river with some great views looking up the river, old tunnels (only go in a short distance) and a lovely wooded side valley. Portable toilets are just a few minutes from the carpark on the way to the waterfall.

Absolutely stunning. We left the car in Kobarid and walked via Napoleon bridge. It took us 35 minutes to reach small and big Kozjak with kids. Bith waterfalls were beautifull

Absolutely beautiful place. The walk up has nice view points of the river and a hair raising bridge across at one point! After the hut where you pay it gets really special. You have to walk across the bed over wooden and stone bridges through some of the water (not really but wear full trainers unless you want soggy feet when the water is in higher season - I went in spring and when raining!) Then you can head the waterfall and it does take your breath away. There’s a rocky path up to a viewpoint inside the rocks… or if you are brave you can take shoes off and wade through the water to stand at the base - only if you are strong and confident though! Worth the trip!

Sadly we couldn't reach the waterfalls. It seems like the heavy rains washed off the bridges after the cashiers cabin (which also was empty..). The walk was very nice anyways. I hope they quickly restore the path (maybe this time with more robust material). Sidenote: due to construction works, the free parking spot cannot be reached coming from Tolmin...

A spectacular waterfall, near the town of Kobarid. Park the car in Camp Lazar or Camp Koren. After a walking route of about 20 minutes, you reach a toll booth, and from there you continue walking for another 5 minutes to the waterfall.

The waterfall itself was very busy even though you have to pay 5€ to enter. We have seen prettier ones that were free. However, if you park on the other side of the soca river, you will cross a hanging bridge. Next to the bridge you can descend down to the river for a great swim, beware of the cold river temperature 😄

The approach trail is beautiful and de waterfall is only a nice ending. You pay 4 euros per person just to be able walk the last 80m to the actual waterfall+ the parking 1,5 euros per hour. It is a shame they make you pay this kind of money for this, it is just a nature spot, no infrastructure, it should be free, or donation based by principle

After the parking you have to walk half an hour just to discover that you have to pay 5€ per person to see a waterfall... absolutely not ... The way is nice tho

Although there is a entrance fee of 4€ off season (8€ during peak season) it is definitely magic to experience this waterfall as it’s surrounded by a semi-cave. If you want the free option, make sure to stop at the little bridge before Kozjak waterfall, the locals call it Mali Kozjak Slap (as in smaller) it’s harder to see as there is no infrastructure but definitely worth a slight detour!

It is a must see place even if you have to pay the entry fee - that´s why it is also very clean and well maintained, so please don´t avoid it, respect the place, it is totally worth every cent! It helps to have firm and comfortable hiking shoes and camera on tripod :) On the way there you will be coming through the partisan bunkers as well - super interesting places to see and enjoy.

This place is undeniably amazing to visit, no doubt about it! However, during our visit after heavy rains the day before, the location turned into a complete mess with too many people arriving at the same time. Getting there was difficult, as people were walking in long lines. Nonetheless, the walk to the destination itself was still beautiful. To fully enjoy the experience, it is recommended to plan your visit early in the morning or during the afternoon on days after heavy rains, especially in the high season.

Indeed beautiful place to explore! The whole path from Kamp Lazar via bridge over Soca river is well marked and you can see a lot of beauty on your way to the waterfall. There's an entry fee for the waterfall (5 EUR/adult, 2 EUR/kid), which you can pay with card.

Amazing experience. Small hike to the waterfall in the natural with streams of water and lots of trees around is experience to cherish. Must visit!!!

The walk up to the waterfall is easy and fun, with a few beautiful views of the Soča river on the way. The entrance fee is 5€. Swimming is not allowed, but you can get close to the waterfall to take a photo is you want. The suspension bridge on the way is also very beautiful and picturesque. Maybe be mindful of other people if you are taking photos. Most of the people were polite and would wait for you to take a photo, but there have been a few couples who would block the whole bridge and not move for anybody for too long. We were there at around 10-12am. It's probably less busy earlier in the morning. All in all, would highly recommend. Gorgeous nature.

Nice waterfall but not free. I almost like the Small Kozjak more. Overall the whole track is great. We started near Napoleon's bridge and went to this waterfall. On the way back you can go a bit different road through the world war trenches

The waterfall was really nice. But for the last bit you have to pay 5€. Which I understand but don't find it worth it. On a weekend day it was also quite busy. So maybe if you go early and it's quiet, then it could be nice. Wasn't too bad, wasn't too great.

Cool hike ending at a very nice waterfall. It can be busy as there are lots of other hikes starting from the same parking lots. It an easy path unless it's wet or high water.
