One of the main attractions in Bovec area can be visited anytime. An easy trail follows the river bank on it's left (south) side. The river is visible all the time and every once in a while beautiful geomorphological shapes can be seen. On the way from "Mala korita Soče" to Great Gorge / "Velika korita Soče" the river changes it's face several times from strong rapids that carve stone to wide and shallow water with sand on it's banks. The great gorge is like a deep and narrow tunnel for water. I recommend a walk from "Mala korita" to "Velika korita" or the other way around which takes 1.5-2 hrs in one direction (3.3 kilometers but it takes time to take pictures and enjoy the ambient).

Expansive gorge with multiple hiking trails. The interesting part of the gorge where the river cuts quite deeply through the rocks is only about 1km long, the rest flattens out to a normal river. Dress appropriately as paths quite rocky and uneven. We saw stupid people wearing dresses and white pumps I’m sure they slipped and fell to their death.

I cannot find words to describe this. We walked from Great Gorge to Small Gorges, amazing, fairytale

Absolutely beautiful spot for a picture (walk just a little bit north, towards the bridge from this spot). Obviously ice cold water, but great for a quick refresh

We hiked from the information board to the beach site. It's a nice path mostly just above the gorges and then at the end there's a place where lots of people come to swim and jump from the rocks. Great views.

This place is absolutely amazing! If you are going up you will pass a hiking part by the gorge, its stunning but be careful. the lower part is easier to get picture and you can jump/swim into the water.

Breathtaking view, the water is freezing this time of the year! The current strong making you very aware to be careful of falling. Beautiful hiking paths and little houses along the way. Bring your furry 🐶 friends, they will LOVE the outdoors and picture breaks. It’s free entry, parking right in front of the bridge but you can also make stops on the way and walk there.

Albeit being closed (no ticket office running) we went and visit a very safe site. Even for the kids. Absolutely gorgeous. It's no time time to dive in the blue caribean waters but everywhere and everything else is a feast for your eyes. Good thing about early February, it's all for you. As pure as you can get it

Great place to experience the Soča river in all it's glory. Great view of the colors and clarity of the waters. Plenty of space for sunbathing and swimming as well as for enjoying the river in all it's beauty.

Very nice place to visit. You can park right next to it, 500m lower you can even jump into the river from the rocks. You can even start hiking up or down the river.

Quite a sight of the clear water gushing down the Gorge. Short trails in the surrounding embankments is not too difficult.

Really beautiful gorge with turquoise water . Another scenic gift from Soca river . The bridge presents great views, only downside is it is too narrow to get the best backgrounds to take your picture 😂😂 Car park for 5-6 cars . We visited in the 1st week of April. Don’t miss the small soca gorge which is 3 minutes away . It is wide open with gorgeous views.

15 min walk to the water. Bring good shoes with you. Water is cold, but amazing view. For us cold - water lovers. This was perfect mixture.

Excellent nature sight. Pleasant short walk along the sky-blue waters. Can make a nice picnic by the river.

We did the Scosa hiking trail alongside the river. Took the Nomago bus from Soca to Trenta (check the online schedule, you pay the driver) and walked back to the car. We skipped the start of the river (hike) and just stepped in at Trenta. Using a navigation app (outdoor active or Osmand) it is easy to stay on track but signage is also good. The views are great, the water color and rocks, it's beautiful. Also in a way always similar, yet it always stays a great sight! If you can do a steady pace it can be done in one day. If you like hiking, go for it.

Beautiful, good spot for swimming, but beware the water is icy.

After reading all the positive reviews.here, I expected a bit more. Soča is a beautiful river at all parts, not mentioning this one, but I was rather disappointed after we came to this place. On the way down the Soča Gorge path, you have to browse through the woods to see at least something of the gorge. The best part is the very bottom one where you can swim and enjoy the river but be prepared for crowds.

I came to this place as a child and it stayed in my dreams since then. Jump into the magically colored ice cold water. Enjoy the peaceful trouts swimming around you. It's a unique experience that will bring back the child in you. Just don't tell too many people...

I recommend the bled gorge more, their path is closer to the water and it looks more beautiful. The Soča gorge is still nice but there is barely any water unfortunately and the path is more through the mountain. The best part though is the view from high up (the devil's point I believe is called) and it is quite something but just that.

Such pretty, freezing cold water. Plenty of routes to walk along and places to sit along the way. Parking charged sadly as in most places

Really beautiful gorge. The gorge is for free. You can wlk along the rover and get some good views. Moreover you can put your feed into the icy water (9° in summer) or try cliff jumping.

Great area to explore. Fantastic scenery. Had a day off on my motorbike journey and explored the surroundings in this area. Can recommend to have a swim in the fresh water as well.
