Nipped in for a quick snack and a beer. There was a large selection of beers ranging from lagers to ipas and stouts. The food was reasonably priced and of a good quality. The bar staff are brilliant, engaging and welcoming. All in all well worth a visit if you want a proper pint 👍🏻

I love Purple Moose as a brand and I love this pub. From the moment you walk through the door this place is Purple Moose from tip to toe. I love the rustic decor and cheeky quirks. Staff are friendly and a great buzzing atmosphere. Tables, chairs and benches all branded with the iconic Purple Moose head. Great quirky pub. Fantastic beers obviously Purple Moose is served both on tap and in bottles. Even the loos are sign posted by Moose it's fantastic. The quirky decor goes inside the toilets too. This whole place is bursting with Moose character. In fact after leaving we went a couple of doors down and kitted ourselves out with plenty of merchandise, clothing and more bottled beers from the Purple Moose Brewery Shop. I can't comment first hand but the food being brought out looked and smelled superb also.

I don't normally go for pub food, but it was really nice food. I had their dark side burger, my son had lasagne. Both were served nice and hot and seemed freshly cooked. The lasagne bowl was red hot. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Would easily recommend eating here.

Friendly staff in a busy town pub with atmosphere. As the Purple Moose brewery tap they have 5 of their own real Ales on hand pull, all of which were in excellent condition, plus a real cider. Food was equally pleasing with decent portions and well priced. Don't miss it if you are in the area.

Across the road from a public car park made accessing it easy! We had the steak and ale pie - ohhh this was amazing! Packed with meat in a rich gravy, it was gorgeous. Chips were okay. Vegetables included parsnips, broccoli and carrots. The gravy was good. Dessert let it down a teensy little bit though. My chocolate fudge cake came out approx 10 minutes before his dessert, by which time, the fudge sauce had set solid. His apple crumble looked like slop, with the apple sitting firmly on top of the crumble topping! He said it tasted very good though. The drinks are excellent. The staff friendly. Great, quirky atmosphere. Recommended.

This is a lovely pub that is always a great place to come for lunch. Can get busy during the high season so there may be a wait for a table. Food is consistently good, with attention to detail noted. For example, orange segments in the side salad. Chefs here obviously care about the standard and quality of their food. Staff are lovely, and the big bonus is they welcome dogs. Definitely recommend 👍

A stop to Porthmadog is not complete without stopping by the Australia. The tap of the Purple Moose Brewery is home to amazing beers and great food. Try the beers, find a favourite then nip to the shop next door but one to take a pint home with you.

Been here twice. Both times ordered drinks. Looked and chose food from the menu on the table only to be told kitchen was closed. Asked what soup of the day was at 2:25. Went back to order at 2:35 to be told kitchen was closed. Not a word from the staff when we asked bout soup. If you want to order. Check with bar staff before ordering your drinks. Food looked amazing :-(

Right on Porthmadog's main street, a good selection of beers from their own micro Purple Moose Brewery. Their "Dark Side Burger" was out of this world and my wife was most impressed with their gluten free soup. We will definitely be going back.
