Great
event
marred
by
an
abusive
member
of
staff.
Firstly
myself
and
my
guests
would
like
to
highlight
that
the
overall
reception
and
quality
of
the
wines
here
is
excellent.
However
there
was
one
individual,
who
identified
himself
to
us
as
Joan
Capellanes,
that
verbally
abused
us
and
became
physically
threatening
in
a
manner
that
was
shockingly
unprofessional
and
unpleasant.
My
partner
and
I
have
been
working
in
the
wine
industry
for
over
a
decade,
and
have
never
experienced
such
behaviour
from
staff
at
a
tasting
event.
The
event,
CavaTast,
was
an
incredible
experience
for
any
wine
lover,
with
live
music,
beautiful
Cavas
and
food
pairings.
The
event
finished
at
4pm,
and,
after
gaining
permission
from
a
waitress,
we
went
to
take
some
pictures
by
the
Vilarnau
sign
with
their
delicious
Cava.
At
this
point
there
were
still
many
people
on
the
site
and
in
the
shop.
My
partner
kindly
took
some
pictures
of
a
group
of
women
by
the
sign
and,
as
we
waited,
this
individual,
Joan,
marched
across
the
lawn
and
snatched
the
Cava
glasses
out
of
our
hands
in
such
an
angry
and
aggressive
manner
that
we
were
lost
for
words.
Upon
returning
to
the
tasting
room,
we
tried
to
address
the
situation
with
this
individual,
but
he
refused
to
listen
to
our
concerns
about
his
behaviour
and
became
more
aggressive,
pointing
his
fingers
in
our
faces.
For
the
grand
finale
he
drove
away
but
waited
for
us
outside
the
winery
entrance,
stopping
our
car
and
harassing
us
through
the
window.
We
would
urge
Vilarnau
to
speak
to
this
individual
about
his
treatment
of
clients
who
have
paid
35
euros
each
to
come
tasting.
