Don Juan does not have a 4 star feeling to it, it is really more like a 2 star hotel. We chose not to stay in the renovated rooms so no complaints there. The beds were nice, the view from the balcony was horrible, you were looking straight into other guests rooms (picture attached). You can hear every single sound in other rooms. There was some sort of machine outside of our room (for cooling or the kitchen maybe?) it made an awful lot of noise, after a bit went BOOM, and then it was quiet for a bit until that started all over again. The pool was dated and quite dirty, filled with hair and god knows what. The seats at the pool were nice and there were plenty of them. Food and drinks were good, restaurant was clean. Same thing as before though, no 4 star feel with the plastic clairs and some pretty wobbly tables. The restaurant is very loud. The reception floor is very cheerless, it has an unpleasant atmosphere. Not a place to enjoy a drink. Outside is a bit better, I enjoyed the view of the street and it was nice to sit there with a drink and watch the people coming by.

Paid 140€ for a room that I booked online through their website for my moms 60th birthday and when I checked the price the day they arrived the same room cost 70€…a total scam. We went to reception to tell them about the big price difference and they said that it was “like the stock market”. The reception staff were rude by talking amongst themselves in Catalan and ignoring us. They didn’t even offer to upgrade my parents and just said they couldn’t do anything. We filled a reclamation form. Hope something comes out of it and this doesn’t happen to more guests in the future.
