One of Belgium’s most breathtaking sceneries! We did the purple hike (9,5km, 200m elevation gain) and it was simply perfect despite the rain. The paths are clean and beautiful. The climbs are quite strong (above all the second one) but the views are fantastic. It really changes from other regions and it’s absolutely worth it! You can start the hike before the opening hours of the tourist reception, which is a great thing, the entry is free and there is free parking 2min away from the start. Furthermore, the hike is really well indicated, you cannot miss any purple sign. Just perfect!

For the little price of 3 euros you get to see this unique beautiful piece of nature in the Flanders part of Belgium. You literally can do anything at Connecterra. There are mountainbike trails, regular bike trails, walking trails,... We did the walking trail all up to the highest point and the views are astonishing, you don’t feel like you are in Flanders at all. In summer I would recommend to go to Terhills Cablepark, at that lake is a survival parcour and you can also go wakeboarding. The setting is really nice over there! For the less sporty ones, there is a bar where you can grab a delicious beer. Golden tip: definitely stay until sunset as it is magnificent!

There is great kids playground and small cafe with choice of local beers. Cycling is not allowed there and dogs should be on the lead at all times, so it's really safe and quiet place. There are not many tourists around so you can enjoy nature.

Loved it here. Beautiful nature. We took the purple route (12-13km). The lake is beautiful. Getting to the top of the hill is quite exhausting but the view was amazing, see picture. However, these hills can be very hard to climb for people with suboptimal health. Also, more bins/trash cans should be available. Last but not least: it important to mention that it closes at 18:00 but we were longer in the park and it was no problem.
