Small and quite elegant museum dedicated to Adolphe Sax, an inventor of some instruments among which the saxophone is the most recognisable, and to these instruments themselves. Unfortunately, some English text is hidden behind the instruments or their shadows, so unless you speak Dutch you will need to extra focus to read these parts. Reading everything takes no more than 15-20 mins. Entrance to the museum is free.

Déçu Disappointed ! As much as I am à fan of saxo...this is much to scallop. Only one tiny room. Surely they could do better..with the évolution of the sax all the way to Charlie Parker and Lester Young to Joshua Redmond and Kid 1..they must do something with this ..a saxo festival for example..

Its a small (smaller than Maison Leffe) digital interactive centre, which talks about the life and musical journey of Adolphe Sax, the founder of Sax as well as a detailed explanation about the instrument itself!

It was very small but well kept with lots of information. Free to enter, so surely give this place a visit.

Really loved that this tiny museum dedicated to Adolphe Sax was just open to the street. You just walk in. No staff. No ticket to buy. Quirky displays and listen to some sax music. Sculpture of him outside on a bench. Sit and take a selfie with him!

A small exhibit of the inventor of Saxophone . Various forms and shapes of his invention . The documentation of the parents and the highlights of his life ! Entrance is free ! The whole thing takes 10-15 minutes but is absolutely worth visiting if you are into Jazz

Home museum of Adolphe Sax. it is open 24 hours quite small as it would take 15minutes to complete the museum tour. It is one the must-go places in Dinant Belgium. Adolphe Sax was born in Dinant and invented saxaphone. The museum is free

A good quick museum which is free to enter and only takes around 15 minutes to complete. The only downfall is it is not very informative. But perfect if you are already in dinant.

Kinda ok, It's free and it has some info about the inventor of Saxophone, but that's it. Small room with a few notes about the history of Adolphe Sax and the instrument. Not much besides that.

Nice little one-room museum about the inventor of the saxophone with photos, multimedia & info about his inventions and his life. Free entry!! In front of it is a bench with the investor's sculpture for a picture spot. Parking in town alongside the street, with pay and display.

This free museum was small but provided just enough information on knowing a few things about the creator and how saxophones came about. It's a great little spot, you won't spend more than 15minutes in there so make sure you have something else to do for the day or visit in passing.

The saxophone is only a few instruments in wide use today known to be invented by a single individual. His name is Adolphe Sax. This statue infront of the museum about the saxophone is already an eye catcher evsn if you don't go into the museum.

It is a fun statue to get a selfie with. The statue is located at the entrance of the Adolphe Sax (inventor of the saxophone) museum. The museum itself is very small (two rooms) and you can visit it for free. If you're in the neighborhood it's worth (a very small) detour.
