I really enjoyed this place. The staff was very attentive. They have a lot of authentic Japanese dishes. Very cozy and quiet; nice dating spot. My tempura dinner was perfect but my husband was not as pleased with his chicken dish. The tuna roll was fine but nothing special . Overall, would recommend.

Best Japanese restaurant in Cincinnati. Wide range of Japanese cuisine from sushi/sashimi to udon/ramen and bento boxes, etc. Choose from traditional Japanese style tatami seating on mats or Western style table seating. Quiet. Nice window views. Ample parking. The fish for the sushi is fresh and prepared by a Japanese chef. Also recommended are the various udon and ramen options. See photos to this review. In particular, the nabeyaki udon and tonkotsu ramen (see photos) are delicious and tasty!

We LOVE this place! We had Tonkotsu ramen, Tan-shio, Chirashi and Rolling Island Wave and all of them were DELICIOUS!! Rolling Island Wave and Chirashi were a bomb!! Servers were nice and friendly. We'll definitely come back again! : )

Fabulous authentic Japanese restaurant tucked into the perfect spot in Montgomery. We reserved a private Tatami room for a special occasion. We needed to order a minimum of $100, which was a not difficult for our family.The service and food was all fantastic! From the appetizers to the dessert every single dish was delicious!

Absolutely the worst Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to. Chicken tasted off, old. $17 for that plate. Disgusting

Food was okay. My husband asked the waitress for clarity about something on the menu and I caught her rolling her eyes at him. He doesn't explore a lot when it comes to food so this was a big deal for our family, not the best experience.

This is an incredibly authentic restaurant that lives up to it’s name. You won’t find a ton of spicy mayo or cream cheese in these sushi rolls. The sushi and the ramen were both amazing. If you’re looking for delicious authentic Japanese food, this is the place

De-li-cious! I love coming here, they have great and authentic japanese cuisine and the staff is super friendly! The place is pretty too, they have tatami rooms.

This is my new favorite place. The quality of the sushi is well above the other local restaurants. The price of the food reflects the quality. Great service. Full bar.

The food was great. It's not always possible to get good sushi around here, especially we are far from ocean and in the area with not much of Asian population. However, we were surprised by the quality of their food. The nigiri were great. We were also surprised by the price. It was expensive, but I think I will come back here when I crave for sushi.

Excellent dining experience! Had hot sake, grilled salmon dinner set and vegetable croquette. Everything was fresh and delicious! The hostess was very polite and also suggested the best way to enjoy the croquette! I would definitely come back here.

It is average. Sushi is fresh. Ramen broth is creamy, noodles 🍜 are chewy, pork is kind of dry.

Doing dinner here it's easy to see why this place has one so many awards for best sushi and even best restaurant in the region. The service was great, and every single thing we tried was fantastic. The California roll is an easy American sushi mainstay, And they did it well. But the hungry roll, that's more of like their specialty role, definitely American eyes, but definitely over the top delicious. Massive servings, full of flavor crunch, and rich sauces. My bento box was The perfect definition of multiple courses of deliciousness, with every single thing being well worth the visit. Maybe the best salmon I've ever had cooked in my life! I'm not really sure what the egg custard was supposed to taste like, but it was really just super salty and umami rich... I guess that's okay. Everything else? 👍👍

I have been on a quest for the best sushi in Cincinnati, which brought me here. After trying it I'm convinced it's ok but I'd rather try the rest of the menu next time. I'm conflicted because from the assortment we tried, some were delicious and some were not. Salmon skin had a burnt taste to it for example, and tamago had a strange presentation and seemed not very fresh. We even splurged on some tuna belly and felt frankly ripped off over how thin a slice it was. What will bring me back is the atmosphere and the array of interesting dishes they have. But getting an expensive sushi dinner was a mistake unless you know exactly what to get.

This is our new favorite sushi place! The hospitality is amazing. The quality of their sushi was great. Their ramen bowls and miso soup were so flavorful and also some of the best I’ve had.

This place has excellent authentic Japanese food at a reasonable price. All of the food reminded me of my visit to Japan. I got the tonkatsu ramen which was delicious. The broth was rich and creamy and not overly salted. Not the best ramen I've ever had but definitely the best I've had in Ohio. The sushi was excellent and the sushi chef is from Japan. The tempura was delicious and well fried. Overall fantastic experience at this place. I will definitely be back in the future.

Great sushi for being from a restaurant that's not close to the coast and therefore doesn't have access to fresher fish. But this place was awesome. I got the barbecue eel, the tuna, and the yellow tail nigiri. The rice was a great texture and the sashimi flavor was on point. I got the tonkatsu fried pork cutlets and they were excellent as well. Very close to what you can get in Japan. I wish I had more space in my stomach to try more. I'll just have to go back again sometime soon.

Atmosphere and food were really good. Things were a bit on the more expensive side, but not a major detractor. Everything was served fresh and tasted great. Some of the best gyoza.
