I have been seeing Dr Epperly for a couple of years and recently Roanne. They are both amazing! Their office staff is absolutely atrocious and a 1 star rating is too generous. Forum Health Corporate was called and stepped in to relay a message for me since the staff wouldn't allow me to speak to Roanne or Dr E (and yes, they have been called again). The Bloomingdale office staff is in need of a serious overhaul. In the past 2 weeks they have violated HIPPA and sent me another patient's personal information as well as diagnosis via email, they never sent a link for my Telemed appointment - which was to review labs after missing 7 weeks due to Covid-19, Dr E or Roanne were never even told that I had called after being diagnosed with Covid-19 in August until my 4th call which was after ending up in the ER three times and over a month later. Today I have sent an email and left 6 messages regarding my 850a follow up appointment that did not happen because they never sent a link and have yet to hear back and they close ar 2p. Guess it is time to look for a new doctor.

Just like everyone else, their receptionists are very rude. The doctors and the nurses are amazing and I love Dr Anjitha so much. The receptionists who answer the phone are rude and disrespectful. I tell them I’m drive over an hour away, hit traffic and will be 10-15 min late and have no mercy as I should reschedule and I am taking up other patients time. I don’t mind a 5 minute chat with my doctor as long as I can get medication refill I suggested and still needed to change appointment date. Not very personable for the first people you talk to at a doctors office.

I stopped using Dr. Epperly's services recently and can not recommend him to anyone. I started using Dr. Epperly's services in August of 2022. I met with him five times and followed his protocols exactly. While I have a complex and long history of autoimmune problems, I asked Dr. Epperly to do only one thing: improve my severe stomach bloating. He was unable to do so. But that is the least of my complaints. (I try to give each doctor at least six months to produce noticeable results. He had more than six months and produced no results.) My primary complaint is that he was not paying attention; he was not professional or responsible! During at least two different meetings he prescribed treatments for me which he had already prescribed and which we discovered did not work for me. Not only was he prescribing failing treatments for me but was so inatentive that he had no idea he had already said these exact words before, I had agreed to them, I did weeks/months of work following his protocol, this produced no results... and yet he wanted to try again. Additionally he was forgetting why I was coming to see him! I had to remind him of my symptoms/what the problems were and, most concerningly, I had to remind him of his own actions. Finally, and most dramatically, when he saw one of my pictures (of my bloated stomach) he immediately told me that I looked 7 to 8 months pregnant and that some goat farmers in some part of the world stab their goats in the stomach when they start looking like this. This was not a joke. This was not an interesting anecdote. Instead, it was a painful story he decided to share for a reason he never shared. His bedside manner, in this occasion, was unforgivable. I am neither pregnant nor do I want anyone stabbing my belly. This is why I no longer see this doctor nor can I recommend his services. (The performance of the staff was quite problematic at the beginning but then they fully made up for it. I have good things to say about them and appreciate their kindness. This is only a review of Dr. Epperly's behavior and performance.)

The health practitioners of this practice, Dr. Epperly and Dr. Anjitha are great however, this place has had long existing problem with their customer service quality, mainly with those who are answering the phones. Recently, my wife came in contact with a patient scheduling coordinator by the name of Monni, who is extremely rude, inconsiderate, and just has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. For simple requests and questions, she constantly yells, raises her voice, and provides no solutions at all. This is not someone who should be answering the phones at the office. This place needs to work on hiring people who enjoy dealing with people, and have the patience to work with people who are already dealing with health issues, not stress them out even more. They will continue to lose clients due to poor quality customer service.

I transferred my care to Dr. Epperly after Dr. Oberg passed away. I don't know if I was just used to the excellent care and employees in Dr. Obergs practice, he set the bar too high I guess. While I have no issue with Dr. Epperly directly, I do have an issue with the practice staff when calling and trying to coordinate my appointments. I struggled with illness for most of last year, starting with Covid. I then had Bronchitis numerous times, general illnesses consistently and walking pneumonia once as well. I was unable to make many many appointments due to this. Mind you, I also have a 45 min drive each way just to get there. I asked to do a phone appointment and was told because I hadn't been in in 6 months I could not do that. After MANY conversations, they finally asked Dr. Epperly and he did allow it. But, to say it caused me stress is to make light of it. When I call the office, I feel disregarded. I don't feel heard. I have cancelled appointments only to receive a call telling me I was being charged a no-show fee. I left messages they did not get apparently. On the phone I am often talked over and rushed to get off. One time I called to see if my lab order was sent to quest so I could get labs prior to making an appointment to see the Dr. My discussion with the Dr. was mine alone, of course. What the person on the phone did was pull up my file and, in my opinion, was look at it and dispute what I said in a condescending way. Honestly, just answer my question, was a lab order sent to Quest? Why is it I have to follow up on all of this myself only to get met with rudeness and condescension. I have been thinking about leaving this practice for over a year based on how I was treating during a very difficult time in my life. Today, after what happened, I am leaving and have requested my records. Dr. Oberg set the bar high and unfortunately Forum Health has epically failed, in my opinion. Would not recommend anyone go there.

I have been going to this practice for over a year. After doing some research online, I found them as a recommendation for the thyroid doctor. I currently see Roanne and she is amazing. She looks at my lab results but also considers my symptoms and preferences/concerns as a patient. I have been very happy with the service medically. Sometimes I have a hard time getting a hold of the front desk to make appointments and they run late for evening appointments. However to me its worth the individualized attention and evening appointment option. They have recently gone digital, so hopefully that will help some of the office aspects. If you are looking for someone who truly wants you to feel better, I recommend you give them a call.

I will continue coming back only being I love the NP that I see. Other than that, I think the staff up front could use a lot of work, especially reception.

Dr. Epperly is truly a Godsent. He’s helped my husband and I get back on track with our health. Having been to so many Drs telling me the same ol’…well you are a mom… and not actually addressing any concerns of mine. Dr. Epperly actually listened and tested my blood and looked at all possible factors. Thank you Dr. Epperly…May you continue to heal many people. Cheers to feeling great!
