We had the all day breakfast at lunchtime. Bad idea! The bacon was cold and hard. The mushrooms were cold and looked like they had been on the plate for hours. Eggs were slightly better- warm and yolk was hard. Atmosphere was subdued. Staff Not at all friendly. Don’t waste your time!!

Been here 2 days ago. Food was nice, Matcha Green Tea Latte had not enough flavour, it look green like but taste like milk. Need stronger Matcha flavour if possible.

Please don’t waste your time or your money at this cafe!!! Ordered lunch here today and had the most dreadful experience I’ve had at a hospitality establishment in a VERY long time. We ordered a BLT and a Bacon & Leek Quiche. When the dishes arrived, the side salad that came with each of them was really awful, lack lustre quality, the lettuce/spinach all wilted, and the sliced cucumber and carrots clearly old. The salad was NOT crisp and simply NOT fresh!!! The sauce sparingly drizzled on top didn’t do it any favours either. The BLT had no sauce on it, and was simply bacon, tomato and lettuce, completely dry!!! That is NOT a BLT! To make it worse the bread was stale, again NOT fresh. I cannot believe I paid $15 for each of these meals. I went up to the counter and asked to speak to the manager, she came out from the kitchen and when I told her I wanted her to know our food was not fresh she began arguing with me and saying that either was. When I kept sharing my experience in a calm manner, she went and got a loaf of bread and a bag of salad (both brand new bags I will add!) and waved them in front of me…. she took zero responsibility and was not interested in what I had to say at all. I received no apology whatsoever, it was disgusting customer service. No customer deserves to be treated like that. There was no effort made to rectify my experience and worse still, we could see the staff gossiping about it in the kitchen. I wish I had taken a minute to read the reviews before I entered today, as after reading so many complaints that are similar to mine, I would never have visited. Please don’t waste your time or your money at this cafe!!! I will be emailing the Area Manager and escalating this complaint.

The food had a high price but lacked quality. I ordered a sausage roll, but it was not heated properly and was cold inside. The bacon in the kid's breakfast was extremely hard and inedible. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I would not recommend it. 0 star!

POOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, HIGH PRICES FOR LOW QUALITY INGREDIENTS. I took my client for lunch, and first impressions were ok. The first look at the menu showed somewhat reasonable pricing, although some items raised an eyebrow. I ordered the Nourishing bowl - Tomato, haloumi, chicken, brown rice, rocket sprinkled with parsley, mint and roasted pine nuts with a balsamic dressing. The chicken on my plate was the cheap and nasty 'fake' chicken, with a couple of cherry Tomato halves, tiny squares of haloumi, 3 tablespoons of brown rice and a good 3 cups of rocket!! No herbs. A dozen pine nuts and a small amount of dressing. I paid $18.50 for the meal alone. I took it back, and ordered a toastie instead. I informed the waitress of the reason I returned the salad, and still paid for the toastie. Not a single offer of a refund or complimentary toastie. I won't be returning.

Staff are pleasant, though probably not enough of them as prep is slow. The lemon meringue was extremely disappointing. Meringue was so stale I couldn't put my fork through it, it just dragged the whole skin down without cutting it, and the whole thing came off in one sticky piece that was actualy difficult to bite through. Crust was tough and came apart in chunks, rather than being able to cut through it, and the lemon curd was grainy. The Lime Mint Julep was ok, but extremely sweet. I don't live in Brisbane anymore, so came here to reminisce visiting the original store in the city which I had been to with my Grandma years ago. It didn't really hold up, and I call being a bit unimpressed last time I was at the Mt Gravatt outlet a year ago, having to wait 15 minutes for a coffee.

I’m still shocked at spending over $15 on a sandwich which would’ve been $5 at the supermarket. The chicken was that fatty processed stuff not fresh. The bread was just Tip Top white. The side salad was clearly a few days old. Also the cream and ice cream sides for a tiny citron tart were not complimentary but $1.50 - each. Over $34 for 2 coffees and that above. Shingle Inn was a brand which meant exceptional quality and service. The service was ok but the quality (relative to value for money) has me fuming. Disgraceful. Fool me once.. Thankyou for your prompt response Louise. Happy to share a photo of the meal and you can then confirm its over $34 of value.

Hardly any avocado on the bruschetta - paid $10.90, said that quiche came with salad but did not receive salad and when asked, told it would cost an extra $6. Ordered chips but not added to order. Hair found on cake. Breakfast all day advertised but no pancakes available. However, great coffee and fast service.

The lady serving us was flustered and busy but managed to serve us fast and friendly, my coffee arrived super fast and it is the best coffee I've had in a while absolute perfection even with a perfect heart decal on top just lovely. The food came fast too and is so good ive had to stop happy dancing while I eat just to write this review. 5 stars just perfect!

Don't bother with the Waffles. Rubbery, weird batter I think. They replaced them for us but not really any better. Chocolate sauce was minimal, tiniest scoop of icecream. Not great for like $18

Sat in the comfy chairs. Probably not the best location in Garden City. Appeared to have a good cake selection in cabinets. However, ordered raisin toast. Asked if it was the thick toast and they said yes. Sadly, the pathetic thin version was served. Cold and pre-buttered. Can’t believe that any cafe that gave a damn puts making a few extra cents profit ahead of the quality of their offerings. Not rocket science and very easy to source decent raisin toast. Go to Campos Windsor! They serve raisin toast we make a special trip for.

Totally agree with Jake Skirving. My cousin ordered the BIG BREAKFAST only to get one hash brown cut in half and one piece of toast. False advertising on your menu's. Get your s:$t together.

We ordered a hot and cold coffee. BOTH BURNT! Also ordered a ham and cheese croissant but I don't understand how this can taste bad too? Part of the ham was still cold and it seriously tasted like they're serving us someone's forgotten lunch found in the bottom of the backpack after weeks. We couldn't finish eating the food even when we're hungry. Went for hungry jacks afterwards and it was amazing comparing to this. Coffee: burnt Presentation: non-existent Service: rude Cleanliness: your sofa area smells foul
