We could not be happier with the delicious lunch we had at the FGT. The steak, pork ribs, hot dog and sticky date pudding were first rate. Mel the chef brought out the meals and ensured everything was top notch! Well done Mel and her team, we'll be back.

We booked a large group for a meeting at Ferny Grove Tavern this morning. The James the manager was great and the staff were very helpful. The platters provided were delicious. Also the coffee was brilliant and our coffee connoisseurs were extremely happy. I have been there before for meals and also a Christmas lunch and have always been impressed by the staff and food. Thank you!

We went there last Saturday. 2 adults, 2 teens, 2 x 10yr old and a 4 year old. Order meals, all adult meals as kids meal is was only nuggets and chips, need a bit more options for kids if going to have family venue with kids play area. Plus my brother ordered an extra side of chips. We Order 2 x jugs of soft drinks. What we were shocked at is whilst Order via App, which is the only way to Order. Before we even had our food, or put order through, had any drinks, cheeky enough to ask for a tip. Yet no service provided as yet. My brother and I did have a giggle at this. Food was good, adult meals. Good pub meals. But whilst we were still eating....I mean I was even still nibbling on my chips. The waiter came around and took the glasses away. We had jugs of drink going. Odd as kids had just stepped away for a moment. Cleared their plates. But whilst chips still in my mouth, I was chewing, the waiter said have you finished with that, I was a little shocked and thought okay, yes...I don't need any more chips and just let her clear it away through full mouth. Then proceeded to clear away the side of chips we bought for the kids, these were for the kids to nibble on. My brother and I looked at each other a bit astounded. And proceeded to wonder if the restaurant was closing by 8pm on a Saturday evening. There was only 1 other table with patrons. As seemed rushed to take away our food and plates. Overall no complaints with the food that came out, but perhaps let patrons enjoy their dinner without the rush of clearing tables away.

I went in for lunch today! Absolutely delicious food and awesome venue! I had a lovely waitress named Jess, she was a very lovely person, made sure we had everything we needed & that we enjoyed our meal! Thanks to Jess for being amazing today, I’ll definitely be back soon ♥️

Great lunch today. Rump steak tasty and tender, steak burger nice & chicken burger also good. Food here much better than what they're serving up at The Brook.

The staff exceeded our expectations. It's so refreshing to experience such a high level of customer service. My husband and I had the Christmas in July meal - the food was delicious, well priced, and extremely generous in the serving amount. Well done staff, we'll be back!

Excellent service from the lady that served us, I think her name is Vanessa. She greeted us with a smile, offered us a bottle of water as soon as we're seated. She was happy to ask if we liked our food and offered me to provide a take away container if I couldn't finish my Pork Knuckle. My husband ordered steak, he liked it. I ordered pork knuckle, it was nice and crispy. The sauce was slightly salty to my liking though. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

I wish I took a photo of my food before I absolutely inhaled it! The food was amazing! Compliments to the chef and also to all the staff who had smiles on their faces, very nice and refreshing to see. Special shout out to James for making the extra effort to make us laugh. Definitely try out the Jack Daniels ribs which were prepared to perfection!

We have been living in the area for a long time and have been meaning to get to the Tavern and finally made it tonight. It was unfortunate that the food at the tavern was less than we had hoped. Different from other complaints, we love ordering through the app, the menu was fine it’s a bistro tavern. In my past experiences all Graziers steakhouses have been great and consistent. The issue we faced was that as soon as our plates were placed down we felt disappointment. I paid $37 for my steak, and it was terrible. Someone mentioned in a previous review it tasted boiled then seared and I couldn’t agree more. It was over cooked and flavourless. My vegetables were cold and left water all over my plate, wetting the rest of my food. It felt like slop. My partners party was soggy and undercooked. It’s a hard no from us for the food and we won’t be back to spend our money on something felt like it was just whacked on a plate.

Worst & unsafe place in town. Duty manager abnoxious & rude. Name of duty manager starts from "j". Big safety concern with the place Smoking zone so sticky that i almost tripped, informed the duty manager, response was' i cannot do anything as I do not have many staff. No apology no consideration, purely rudeness. I'll highly recommend anyone seeing my review to choose an alternative option such as Arana, Gaythorne, Alderley, atleast staff will talk to you politely. I was cut-off by duty manager J bcz I argued the point how unsafe the smoking zone floor was. I only had 3 drinks & I was offered no sorry, but a disgusting face from duty manager. I am not going to return to this place unless there are some serious changes & I'll advocate the same to my friends. Thanks

Tavern was clean and presentable. But I was not impressed by there not being physical menus available for patrons (Only 2 b&w printed pages were available). The only way to view a menu is via a QR code on the table and a smart phone. I even saw a staff member show an older couple the QR code and then just walk away leaving them to work it out themselves. If I hadn't been with a family group I would have walked out to be honest. This was my first time at this tavern and it just didn't have a welcoming vibe to it. I also ordered some drinks, two of which were simple lemon lime bitters and you really need to train your staff how to make them. If your bar staff don't start with the basics then they shouldn't be behind the bar at all. I ordered the naked linguini and even though it was very well presented the lemon in the dish was heavily overloaded and it overpowered the possibly great seafood in the dish which you couldn't taste because of it. I am a lemon lover and it was even way too much for me. I had to really push myself to get it finished which is a pity as I am sure the dish could be amazing

From the coffee till the food… everything is mouthwatering and the desserts are divine too! Amazing service and hospitality and always welcomed with a smile by Lisa, Courtney and Josh! It was very nice to for them to give me a free coffee from time to time as well… Best venue for food, people, atmosphere and entertainment! It’s my all the time to go place! I have literally stopped cooking! Well done Ferny Tavern! Tried many places but Ferny Tavern is definitely no 1 in Brisbane! I just cannot stop myself from going there😊

Came here to have a causal dinner with some friends, we were welcomed warmly as soon as we got in. Our food and drinks came out very shortly after we ordered it! And the staff who brought us our food were super nice! Caught me off guard honestly lol. And the ribs at this place are to die for 10/10!! Highly recommend this place for an awesome pub feed 👌

Booked a table at the Ferny Grove Tavern and upon arrival I was asked to show ID. The waiter and manger both said that it is within their policy to ask any one that looks under 25 and/or if in company of a minor. I am happy to show ID if I’m buying an alcoholic drink from the bar but I refuse to show my personal information if I want to sit and eat my dinner with my 11 year son at our local tavern. If I had to show my ID at every other licensed venue in my local area, this include restaurants and even some fast food places, I would refuse to eat out. I understand if this is a club in a city or valley but not at a Tavern in Ferny Grove. I will never come back here again.

The food is excellent. I haven’t dined there since last year. They must have a new chef. My friends and I were Impressed by great food and service. If you’ve not been for ages like me, it’s worth giving it a go. Nice to have a local.

Had a family Xmas function there and couldn't ask for better. The table decorations were wonderful as was the service meals. Nothing but superlatives from all who attended. The best ever was the general consensus

Pleased to see FGT is under new management. It's clear to see the improvements in all areas. Food portions are larger, quality is improved. Staff are attentive and helpful. Venue is clean. More importantly, FGT is investing time and money in our community, hosting a community Pantry and offering free meals to those struggling. I look forward to seeing what they achieve in the future. Wonderful experience, really friendly staff that go out of their way to help , food was wonderful with good size well cooked meals that came out fast and hot! Very clean with great atmosphere. Had not been for a long time and seems like there is new management as things have changed ! Love it .

A great selection of beer & cider! An excellent tab & delicious calamari & chips for $15.00! A fantastic music venue for dancing to a band!!! Very friendly staff who recommended the Months card which give you 5% off any purchase!

Food and service were 5 stars. Great atmosphere and the kids play room was great to keep the little one entertained. We had steaks for dinner and they were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.

All the food & drinks were great. We ordered food via the counter, and there was a transcriptional error. A medium-rare steak became a medium steak. They fixed it, but it meant one of our party had to wait a long time for their food. If you're ordering from the counter, double check they have entered it correctly. Meals took quite a while to arrive (Sunday late lunch) but within an okay timeframe.

New chef, new menu. Much improved! After Covid, there was never enough staff, service was slow, and you steaks were never consistently cooked to order. What a welcome change the new chef has brought. Great steaks and schnitzels last night, with attentive staff, questions asked to clarify by staff to make sure everything came out as hoped, and food that came out hot without much wait.

Booked spur of the moment after a huge day out. Staff who took the phone booking were polite and accommodating. Upon arrival venue presents as clean, upmarket and modern. Bonus is a kids play area - well kept and close to tables for easy monitoring. Dinner was rump steak with toppers. 400g of BLISS. Veggies and mash were also fantastic. Serving moth in the salad, when taking it up to staff they wouldn’t refund nor offer any compensation. When flagging with the venue manager she was rude. Worst tavern in Brisbane by far.

Tonight I left my phone at home by accident and the lovely Josh at the bar went above and beyond allowing us to use his phone to view the menu and then let me order at the bar. Our steaks were perfect, everyone was super friendly. Thank you again to Josh for being a true gentleman.

Went to Ferny Grove for my husband to have family time and say last goodbye as he has 2 weeks left to live. Kitchen staff were amazing. Bar staff need more customer service training. And to understand what drinks can leave the venue and what can't. If a female can't take a coke outside, why can a male leave the building with a Beer. I'm not happy won't be back. the customer service has not Been the same since Issac left

Great spot, we had a lovely waitress unfortunately though I took my daughter to the toilet and when I came back my meal was gone. I ordered the eye fillet and there was still half a steak most of my mash and my whole salad left on the plate. The 2 guys at the table didn’t notice it being taken and were never asked if I had finished. A little disappointing considering the cost of it and I barely got to eat it.

We went for dinner with our family. We were running late, arriving at 20.10approx. The service was excellent and super fast. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the tavern for dinner. Our waiter was josh. Great service. Well done.

Food wasn’t bad but they had terrible customer service. Ebony was very rude; talking down to customers and making her mistake seem like burden to fix. Drinks ordered before food didn’t arrive until after meals were eaten and we had to go to the bar to get them ourselves

Hi. I brought some friends to your Tavern for the very first time on the 19th May and we ordered the fish and chips, steak and crumbed steaks. The amount of time we waited for our meals was just ridiculous atleast 45 mins. The fish was so small and not worth the price that was paid. The steak was burnt and tasted burnt. The crumbed steaks were horrible to eat. So very much an unpleasant experience. We travelled a fair way to come for dinner which made it unpleasant aswell. The kitchen staff didn't look to be doing any cooking or food preparation except just standing around. No free garlic bread or free drink was offered when we complained.

The best experience from tonights meal was the customer we received from Will. Observent, helpful and very polite. Thankyou! Tables next to the playground are easy to get. Otherwise a TV screen close by can help you supervise. Food could be improved but overall a good experience.

My partner and I came out here with friends from Caboolture area and the menu did not have a lot to offer. But I ordered the fish and chips which was tasteless and bland and my partner ordered the porterhouse steak which tasted like it was boiled and then seared to finish. But worst of all was we ordered not even 5 minutes apart from our friends and their meals came out 30 minutes after our meals and they ordered crumb steak. Absolutely dissatisfied with our time here and definitely won’t be coming back. The excuse was they were busy there was barely 25 people dining I’d hate to see it they were actually busy. Get some staff that actually have experience and a kitchen staff that can actually run a kitchen as this was beyond a joke and they didn’t even offer our friends a drink or anything to compensate the wait time.
