Nice place, larger than expected Had one of their pizzas which was good. The only downside is that it was served on a cold plate, meant the pizza got cool very quickly. Heaters that hang down (outside room) are more directional, so if your table isn't directly under one you don't get the warmth from them..

We are usually happy with the Samford Taverns food and service, and I have given them a positive review in the past. As I gave a positive review for the good experience, I figure I should also share the negative. This time the food was its usual high standard, however when we placed our order we received a warning the food may be about a half hour wait. The problem, however, is that it actually took 50 minutes. I believe this is a once if glitch because we have eaten here many times; perhaps they were busier than expected or had staffing issues on this night.

Starters are generous. Pizzas are okay and quicker to arrive than mains. The Angus burger is awful. Patties were tough and dry. Avoid this menu item.

Not the place to go if you have a dog with you. The only place you’re allowed to sit is on the balcony (which is only suitable for small groups), despite many of the other seating areas also being outdoors, you cannot sit there with your dog. Other than that, the food was decent and large portions. Would prefer smaller portions for less $$, as the portion sizes are almost for 2 people.

If I could give negative stars I would. we've been here multiple times and every time we've gone to the manager. First time we went up and paid for our food 50mins later still no food so I went back and they said the order never went thru to the kitchen. Second time the food was cold, I got told to go find my cutlery as they were out of clean ones and they had no cold schooner glasses! And third time the salad we ordered was so soggy that we just walked out and left it on the table. Never ever go here!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this pub, and I have to say, the staff truly made the experience exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly attitudes, which continued throughout the entire evening. Frannie needs an extra appreciation, she was incredibly knowledgeable about their drinks menu, providing modification and ensured I was satisfied with my cocktail. Not only were they attentive to our needs throughout the night, they also took the time to create conversation with us and genuinely seemed interested in making our time there enjoyable. Their efficiency and professionalism did not go unnoticed, as each drink was perfectly crafted and served with a smile. Overall, I highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for an exceptional night out. The staff truly make the experience one to remember, and I will definitely be returning soon. Over an hour for a basic steak. Meals didn't arrive at the same time and were cold when eventually arrived. Basically a fail in hospitality. We won't be dining here again. Destroying what could have been a special evening.

With the changes at Samford pub has come a perfect village pub with everything my family want from it. Not trying to be gourmet just good honest Australian pub food done well. Thanks to the team at the pub.

Great lunch at a great spot. Service was good. Perfect waiting times, great for kids, nice to see some wildlife while here too. Love the live music. Perfect 5 for you today team well done.

Food was really great value for money on the lunch menu options. Parking close is a pain in the bum however we really enjoyed the walk after being so full. Service Team were fantastic 👏👍. All in all was 10/10.

The quality of the food was very good. The calamari was cooked to tender (not rubber) which was welcome. The steak perfectly cooked and tender. We're coming back. Enjoyable evening. 😉

My brother was visiting me from Sydney and we had lunch during the week last Wednesday & went back again yesterday. Food was delicious & plentiful, and service was polite & friendly. We really enjoyed our meals on both these occasions. Highly recommend!

To be clear, this is a pub with gaming rooms, a bar and nice restaurant off to the side. The bar area had plenty of seating and even had some comfy arm chairs. The restaurant was where I spent most of my visit. Prices were reasonable and the portions were excellent and quite large. The steak I ordered was cooked wonderfully. Behind the restaurant was a big kids play area, which kept our 4 year old happily occupied while we waited for our order and talked. Wheelchair accessible.

Cider pears pork chop, delicious, 5/5. Cheesy garlic bread with bacon, 4/5. 250g rump steak Diane, cooked to request medium rare, veges were cold. 4/5 Panko calamari, big serve but bland, 3/5. Mains came out at the same time, entrees did not. Service was good, place was busy but still a pleasant experience.

We had a space in the function room for my 50th birthday. As I love plants, I chose the place because they have all those gigantic hanging ferns. The meals were huge and were delivered in no time at all. It was the perfect spot for my birthday. I would highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed the food. The kids play area was excellent and could be observed from many tables. So both parents and children could enjoy their time at the pub.

you guys have a desk out the front with no one behind it and signs saying please wait to be seated, multiple people standing around looking lost and a big line piling up. you should find a solution to seating customers and making them feel welcomed. we spoke to a staff member but your only words were "the system works we have been using it for 3 years and we are short staffed". id suggest customers seat themselves to be able to view a menu and the nearest bar takes drinks and food orders if your struggling to have on floor staff. I would go here if you want to stand around like a numpty.

Always come here when I'm in Brisbane and it's always great. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food. Had the pork with apple cider infused pear on the most on the recent visit and the pork was tender and delicious and the pear bursting with flavour. Thanks from Perth!

Had a nice lunch with family here today for the first time in years. Food was average for the price, staff were friendly. We probably Won't return anytime soon. Sorry but had better meals at other Kominsky owned pubs. Cheers

It was good. Food here was exceptional. Drinks were okay. Atmosphere decent. Adequately accessible. Prices fine. Family friendly but areas where adults could have mature conversation. Would go again even if the food was the only good thing because it really was fantastic.

Went to the Samford for lunch with my wife, haven't been for a couple of years. Heard it had changed hands and you could tell. When asking questions to staff had a lot of don't know answers. Some staff only just started, need more training. The food feel short of what it used to be. I had the burger and my wife the seafood plate. Seafood plate was missing the half shell scallops, when I asked for them they came out overcooked and smothered in a horrible hollandaise. My burger pattie was overcooked and dry as ............ The steak display case has been replaced with an icecream fridge. Disappointing visit, won't be back.

I had the seafood catch which was really nice with fresh and cooked seafood which arrived in good time considering how busy the kitchen was. Others in our group had schnitzels which were also pretty tasty. ( I sampled my wife's) Big play area out back for kids which is handy with four grandkids to occupy. All in all good food, cold beer and good service with our birthday cake when it was requested.

This place is massive. Classic pub menu. The food wasn't anything to rave about, but every meal we had was decent. Everyone finished their plate. Being able to order by QR code was super convenient. Was clean and plenty of seats. I'd eat here again but will probably look for somewhere different.

Five stars for the nice choice of inside and outside eating areas and the lovely friendly staff. We had Tandoori chicken pizza. It was OK - plenty of filling but most of it was cheese. Tandoori goes better with yoghurt I think. This could have been a domino’s pizza - nothing special but ok when you’re hungry

We were there on a Sunday, hungry and wanting to sit down for a beer and feed. 80% of the tables were free but had “reserved” signs on them. Upon asking we were told you could only book in advance and there is a one hour wait time? Is it always like this? Would love to return but honestly having to prebook is beyond ridiculous. So many free tables (they were not actually reserved) and you won’t even take our money!!!

Food was absolutely delicious. I had the brisket burger. Server was friendly and ours orders were very quick (it wasn’t too busy). Lots of choice for both food and drinks. Great atmosphere.

Slow slow slow, meals arrived at different times. Some hot, some were cold. Hot chips were cold, onions rings were cold, vegies were cold. After an hour of waiting someone finally said my meal had run out, so I ordered another because everyone else at my table had been served and some had finished eating, then they delivered an entree sized version of my original ordered meal. Disorganised, unsatisfactory, not value for money. Half our guests had left and I was still eating and we still hadn't had the birthday cake.

A nice rural hotel/pub located in a small village. The hotel has been updated and has a comfortable "lounge" feeling and a large outdoor area for food and drinks. A menu for lunch and dinner is available.

Don't come here if you are hungry. Made a booking for 12.30, ordered by 12.40 - Didn't get our food till well after 2pm. We had two kids with us who were over starving. Place wasn't even that full, though it is a big place. Sad as we were really looking forward to a relaxed lunch and had to rush.

We booked a table at the kids zone and when we got there we were placed near the entrance which was only the start! Then we waited more then an hour and a half for our food to come with two starving kids crying because they were so hungry. We never got told once that service was slow... Then we saw other tables get food that had arrived after us!! The food was good and the location is great but I won't go back again

My first time at the Samford Hotel for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. Nice outdoor dining area and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was good and reasonably priced. Good serving sizes. Plenty of street parking. We'll stop by again when in Sanford.

Generally not a fan of table q code ordering.. but it worked well. Apple pay didn't work... google pay a winner. Nice food, quick for delivery.

Could be better service however there was only one bar tender at time of visit, it was a busy day at the bar, it takes a bit longer to get a drinks. Customers are lining up otherwise this is a good place to catch up with family and friends for a drink while their local musician is playing.

Great pub with a big bistro area. Service was really good! The Parma just needs some work. The sauce was minimal and it didn't stay hot very long.

Food was decent. Steak and ribs were a bit lukewarm though. Chips on plate were hot though so guessing the meat was cooked and waiting around a while for the chips. Might want to look at better options for keeping meals warm if they have to wait. Kids play area is a big plus.
