Absolutely disgusting. Took my 11 week old baby here and waited in the waiting room of the emergency department for ages with rude staff telling my partner he couldn’t stay with his baby so he had to wait outside in the cold. There was blood on the floor which no one cleaned up and there was young kids walking and crawling around and through it. You’d think a hospital would set a better standard in their nurses and presentation but they just don’t care and it’s disgraceful how they treat patients ESPECIALLY being so young.

Would give 0 stars. Absolutely disgusting staff at how they speak to you. I seen a pregnant woman crying and in pain, I felt sorry her. She was there before me. She asked the doctor when will she been seen as it's been hours. They said 15 people were in front, mind you there were 3 people in front of her before hand. So she has to wait longer. Anyway she left to go to another hospital. I was 5 hour wait, so i walked out and dealt with the pain

1 star is way too generous. Caboolture hospital emergency department is absolutely disgusting! Just about all of the nurses and the Dr I saw really need to think about a different career, they lack empathy and compassion and they should be ashamed.

My wife is pregnant and had to wait 7 hours to get a doctor. I was with her. 12:40am (after midnight) we got a doctor. The service is so poor that at first they were arguing that my wife is not pregnant. Eventually after rechecking the paperwork they found that she was pregnant. The worst part is that the nurses, receptionist and doctors justified the service by blaming it on low staff. The hospital have no respect for the patients and their families & their time. All other patients had the same experience in the emergency. Overall very very poor healthcare service.

Absolute 10/10 open hernia surgery experience. Excellent transparency of the delays upon arrival with positive and open communication from staff. When it was surgery time, every staff member through the whole process took the time to not only greet me with a smile (not that I needed to be greeted by everyone!) but also thoroughly check and explain everything a number of times. The surgery team were highly professional, and my level of pain and the speed of healing after the surgery have been remarkably good, highlighting their expertise. The overnight stay experience was also incredibly positive and supportive, with nurses giving a huge amount of care and support to me every step of the way. Rooms and toilets were very clean and kept clean by staff promptly. Finally, the food was amazing! Hugely varied menu that tasted great and the use of the app to order everything was seamless. If I get a third hernia I will 100% come back here :)

Avoid at all costs. The worst. Let you stay in blood stained bed. Allergic to Aspirin but they still let you take it with the chance of 50/50 to get better. Back pain because of bed. Sat all night and slept on the floor. No water, no food..... I can keep going..... just avoid this hospital if you can. Deserves zero star or negative.

10 yr old Taken by ambulance to Ed Caboolture at 1.30 with chest pains temp and cramps. Ambos fantastic. Hospital not so. No procedure in place for 10 yr old with chest pains. Said they need patients name!! Just asking if there is a process in place, why need name? Given drugs not told what they were. Still in severe pain and still not seen by a doctor. Child has also vomited and was not helped at all and had to ask for paper towel to clean her up. I had to clean vomit off the floor in bathroom. Still not been told anything or seen a doctor. I am beyond annoyed that there is nothing in place for children with chest pains. Just let them lie I’m their vomit covered clothes and chuck a Panadol in them. It isn’t a cut it is Chest Pain!!!!! Shame on the lot of you!!! Ps Lucky we brought our own blanket, not even offered that!! Oh and still not seen. 1/2 hour and we are gone to another hospital and if anything happens on the way, Caboolture Hospital will have worse than a 1 star review. Pss Walked out with 10yr old. Got rung to take her back as there was a senior dr to see her. Finally a chest X-ray was done only for the poor kid to have lower lobe pneumonia!!!! Child has asdlevel 2, adhd, odd and others. Wouldn’t a normal dr order a chest X-ray for chest pain??? Clearly missed that section off Uni!

This has to be one of the worst hospitals in the state. The staff talk about you in clear earshot the dr was flat out rude and judgemental not understanding at all just demised my case even though it was there stuff up. If it gets worst they going to have one court case on there hand. People do have feelings this is the ed I am referring to and dr Andrew if you can't do your job find someone that can not just push the person away. Cause it's your job im coming for if it gets worse.

When a friend turns up to emergency with chest pain from a flu as this was advised by the doctor to then have the triage scream at her and embarrass her in front of everyone is disgusting. She did not show up because she wanted to be there she turned up because she needed to be there and that's what hospitals are for. Your nurses need to check their attitude.

I cant speak highly enough of the Caboolture Hospital. That's why I gave them a 5 star rating. Most of the staff are professional, friendly & happy to do most things for you. The phrase "Hospital food" does not apply here, the meals are tasty, fresh, wholesome & filling. Of course in life there is alway the odd not so good person/meal/experience. I also believe what I put out came back to me, in other words I was friendly & courteous to everybody & most people were the same back.

It was a bit of a wait- but they truly take care of each individual patient with utter care and it shows. Even in the ER they constantly checked on their patients and monitored pain and gave pain relief when needed. I was listened to, and the care I received was the best I could have gotten. I had the most beautiful nurse and my doctor was just an absolute boss lady. So incredibly grateful.

Horrible, rude and unprofessional emergency staff at the reception/triage desk. I attended on 19/02 around 3:30pm and was directed by the people who collect your Medicare details etc. to sit down in the waiting room and a nurse would come and speak to me. 15 minutes gone by and no one else had come out except the nurses and doctors calling other patients names. I approached the front desk again as I thought it was odd that no one had collected my details. The lady with brown hair, pixie cut wearing a red shirt and someone she was training with long blonde hair in a black shirt were rude and hopeless! (These are the same people who told me to just go and sit down). They could clearly see me standing in front of them and ignored me, continuing to talk and laugh and even had time to discuss Beyoncé and her music! Both of them need to find another job NOT in customer service or in the health industry. I hope they have no ambitions to become a registered nurse or doctor, I can only imagine how much worse they would be. I then asked another person for help (by ask, I interrupted since everyone sitting there pretended I was invisible), her name was Gurinder and she was just as horrible and nasty as the other two. She didn’t even try to hide her eye roll and was clearly irritated! That is why they need security patrolling every 5 minutes because of all the attitude they have and the total disregard for patients which result in us become frustrated and upset! I told her what was wrong and instead of listening she constantly questioned me and went back and fourth, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t an emergency! I was directed by the Morayfield Hub to go to the emergency department, I also had a letter confirming this and had taken a photo of it and presented it to them. Thankfully, I had a much better experience with my nurse who looked after me. She was so gentle and kind when taking my blood, gave me lots of information and made me feel heard when I expressed my concerns with my situation. I felt like I received the proper care. Unfortunately I do not have her name (which is such a shame because she deserves to be recognised!) however she did have an accent and was the person to discharge me around 9pm. She also had a medical student with her who was very kind too, so much more professional than those negligent emergency desk people!

Cut my left forearm deep today resulting in a deep arterial bleed. Got to Caboolture hospital under own means and lost a lot of blood in ED. Nurses grabbed me and put a second tourniquet on. After a few stitches and dressing left after about two hours. The nurses and drs that attended to me were absolutely brilliant. Knew it was an emergency and got me straight through. Very professional, courteous and friendly. I used to be a paramedic and combat medic so I know how patients should be treated and the way I was managed by the medical team at Caboolture Hospital was way above my expectations. Very good staff employed there. Thank You Very Much.

I took my daughter to this Hospital last night for the first time with Mild allergy reaction (swollen eyes) and from the Triage Nurse/Admin everyone was so lovely. They made sure my 3 y.o feels comfortable and not scared. Dr Bec was so lovely and nurse Lysharn. If only we live close to this hospital we would go here every time there’s an emergency. Thank you so much to all nurses and doctors and staff here at Caboolture Hospital.

SHOULD BE A ZERO SCORE... Took my grandson to A&E this morning, staff do not wear id so you have no idea if you are talking to a nurse or a cleaner. The most unhelpful staff only intent on having you removed by security because they do not allow anyone to accompany an adult unless you can produce an official carers card, no matter the patients level of anxiety. We never even got to assessment as he wouldn't stay if I couldn't be with him. There is no such thing as caring and compassion in this hospital and you had better hope there is no serious outcome because of your rude behaviour. Signs ask us to be respectful to you but you need to learn that works both ways. SHAME ON YOU. read your mission statement.

I took my son to ED at 2:15 pm from a car accident and been told to wait for surgeon to check the bruises. The surgeon turned up at 5:30 pm for 5 mins chat the let us come home without any treatment or scans.I saw the same surgeon walking back and forth down the aisle many times while we were waiting. Been told to come back the next day for ultrasound and I refused to come back. Went to Prince Child Hospital and everything got done in two hrs. Will never come back to ED again to this hospital and worse experience ever.

My partner samantha had to the ER yesterday. We thought it was a severe case of stomach flu. Yes, we had to wait. Yes, it was lengthy. Yes, it was hard to watch my soul mate in pain. But thank you, to the nurses in the emergency room. To the doctor "frankie" who went with his gut and got another test. To the surgeons on call who untwisted my partners bowell and to the nurses in ward 2a who are looking after her. If you have an issue with the healthcare system, its the government and your local MP you should talk to. The staff at the hospital are amazing and deserve the reconition. For the amazing work they do and the hours they work. These are amazing humans and we are fortunate that they are here for us when we need. Be patient, stay strong and remember we are only human.

What is the point of a new hospital upgrade when after hours emergency has only 1 doctor on still? 13hr wait with reception asking each person repeatedly if they can see a doctor at a clinic the next day. When it’s your life in their hands maybe people will pay attention.

Incompetent Staff. Lack of Care or willingness to listen to patient. No Food was provided until requested. Felt like I was held to ransom in requesting a transfer to Sunshine Coast Private Hospital. Staff did not follow through on Bed Management as requested. You're just a number, felt like they weren't doing the best by me. Avoid at all costs. I'm not the only patient I know who has had horrible experiences at this hospital.

I am giving one star because the nurses I spoke too were abrupt and lacked compassion, the information given to me was correct but the way it was told to me was rude. Many patients complain about the staff here. I personally think that there should be more training on how to make patients feel reassured and valued , instead of feeling like they are a nuisance and asking silly questions. Please change the culture of this hospital!

I had an ovarian torsion (due to ovarian hyper stimulation during IVF) last year resulting in 2 emergency surgeries. It was an extremely painful time, I wasn’t recovering as fast as wished, but I knew the docs and nurses looking after me were great at what they do - they explained everything that was happening in detail and checked on me regularly ensuring I was as comfortable as I could be. This year, I was admitted to hospital once again to give birth to my son. I got to be looked after by the same doctors as last year and they recognised me straight away. My labour was long and exhausting, bub didn’t want to come out, and even though forceps can be quite scary, I knew I was in good hands. They were very patient, encouraging and my wishes of getting epidural were respected and not questioned. The midwives were amazing, always checking on me and my baby to ensure I knew how to care of him and teaching me what I didn’t know (this is my first baby). I can’t fault the care I have received at Caboolture Hospital.

I have been waiting in the ER triage for 8 hours now with severe back pain, difficulty breathing and numbness to the left side of my body. Staff seem nice but only seem to care about the babies and elderly, which is understandable but no matter what age, an 8hr wait is ridiculous.

Had my first and second baby there. First was fine, second was traumatic. 14hr labour and I kept getting shamed for making too much noise. Even had them say it in delivery video. Three attempts multiple times by two doctors to get epidural in and only needed a longer needle. One of them was a specialist. Hospital had him call me after I complained. He kept saying it's just a fickle thing and told me to make sure to tell the doctors I need a longer needle next time. There won't be a next time. My body goes in paralysis and shivers like I was at labor when I get the flu or too cold a winter time. Reliving it. My first had no complications and only needed the first try to get the epi.

Traumatic avoidable experience due to poor communication between staff in emergency. Nobody was on the same page. Poor night nurses wanted to help me but couldn't because there were no doctors available to start surgery on time or to sign off on pain relief, I was bleeding and in agony in front of other patients in the waiting room for hours only to be told 6 plus hours later to go home and return the next morning. 7 months later and I am still traumatised by my experience at this hospital. Outpatients on the other hand are fantastic which is why I'm not giving this hospital 1 star. They need more staff.

Took my baby in via ambulance at 2:30 pm. Thankfully we were taken straight into paediatrics. The nurses were great so I can’t fault them. Bub come in with high temps & high heart rate, lethargy, just not herself. Pcr test was done and negative. Waited until around 7pm to be seen by a doctor who then requested urine. Took about an hour to get a sample & then was told may be uti. Told us we would have to wait for labs to confirm. Sent home before labs come back at 10:30 pm, was called by the doctor an hour later saying that there is no need for antibiotics. The following day baby is getting worse, took her to a local doctor who was mortified & told me take her straight into emergency. Her temp was nearly 40° & at risk of seizures. So Caboolture sent my daughter home with no reasoning or further testing on what is wrong with her. The staff are great but I can’t help but fault how little they care about getting to the cause of the problem. Still no answers on what is wrong with my baby. Prince Charles is next because I refuse to take her back.

I came to the emergency department as I was 16 weeks postpartum with twins and had never stopped bleeding due to having a partial placenta (part of my placenta still inside me). I woke up one morning and was soaking through a maternity pad every 15mins, which is when I decided to go to emergency. Losing so much blood, I was left feeling very woozy. I got to the department and was made to wait outside in the hallway as there were no seats left in the department. Was there for over 6 hours, called in by a nurse to go to a bed, only to be told to go and wait outside again because there actually wasn’t a bed ready. Finally saw a Dr several hours later for preliminary checks, and despite telling her I was feeling quite dizzy, was made to walk all the way back out in to the hallway myself to wait again, as there were still no beds with nurses available. Their parents room (if you can even call it that) is shocking. I needed a place to pump for my twins to send home so they could feed, and had to resort to a very uncomfortable plastic chair in a room that would have been more suitably called a closet, with nothing but a plastic chair, small bench and a basic fold out change table. I was embarrassingly interrupted several times as there was no lock on the door. Was also sent for bloods and a scan but there was such a mix up with the appalling communication on the hopistal’s behalf that I ended up being on the phone to the scan place myself (they rang me to let me know I had a scan booked, the hospital staff were not the ones to tell me). By the time I saw a gynaecologist that night (yes, it took about 12 hours), I was told it was “probably just the return of my period 🙄”. I had to practically beg to get a D&C four days later. I’ve had some shocking medical experiences, but this was the worst by far. Words can’t even do it justice.

The abuse I suffered at the hands of the midwives when I had to stay in for 4 days post birth was horrific and unconscionable. The breastfeeding consultant Elise was judgmental, cruel and out to make me feel as small as a flea. She pointed out urates in my baby’s nappy as if I was murdering her, and I was sick with guilt because I felt like I was completely failing as a mother. I much later found out that a large amount of newborns have this and it is normal. She also shut me down immediately when I brought up formula - I was terrified, she made it seem like I was killing my baby - but she told me I just had to do a better job getting my milk to come, instead of resorting to formula! What a foul woman. Special mention to the utterly horrible midwife with the short red hair and tattoos who told me at 3am while I was struggling to feed my newborn that ‘breastfed babies don’t get wind, she’s only crying because she’s starving and you’re not feeding her.’ I told her to get out and she stormed out so fast that she left her clipboard behind. When she came back for it, she witnessed my daughter being fed but STILL took it upon herself to report me (as revenge) so that we had to stay in an extra 5 hours the next day waiting for my daughter to be tested AGAIN, even though there was nothing wrong with her. All this was done and more to an exhausted first time mother. They turned my first 4 days as a new parent into a nightmarish, terrifying hell. Not surprisingly at all, I developed PPD and a chronic fear of the medical system as a result of their inhumane treatment. The staff at this hospital make me absolutely sick, and I will never ever forget what they did to me.

Very unimpressed by their attitude towards patients suffering from severe pains and illnesses. My partner was in ED last night and was very poorly treated by nurses. Certain doctors made her feel incredibly uncomfortable, others would tell her nothing is wrong when both of us can see there is something not right... She has been to the same hospital 5 or more times for the exact same thing and all accounts was poorly treated. Health Ombudsman will be notified about this.

Was in with my 8 month old daughter a few weeks ago after she had banged her head. Found the staff to be incredible. We had about 6 different people checking in on her and doing tests etc and everyone was great. They even brought me sandwiches, biscuits and coffees when it wasn't even me injured bless them. The nurses on duty in the childrens ward were fantastic too and went above and beyond for us. Thank you so much. Forever grateful

Visitors are restricted across all Metro North Health facilities. You can only visit someone in hospital if you are: the parent, guardian or carer for a patient under the age of 18 visiting a patient who is at their end of life a partner and/or support person for a patient admitted for care related to their pregnancy support worker or informal carer (including family and friends) providing support for someone with a disability. ALL LIES.... A PERSON WHOM I TOOK THROUGH EMERGENCY ONLY TO BE TOLD AS I DONT HAVE A FORMAL CARING CARD WAS NOT ALLOWED TO STAY. OH DID I MENTION HE HAS BRAIN DAMAGE

Worst hospital I have ever visited. Waited in the emergency department for more than six hours, never got called in, got too tired and returned home without any treatment. I saw many of the other patients were tired of waiting as well and started leaving. They kept one man waiting for more than 5 hours. At the end they removed the injection needle from his hand and asked him to go home. Why on earth would you keep somebody waiting for 5-6 hours just for a 1 minute job. I waited more than 6 hours and still didnt get called in. Wasted so much of time with so much pain. Never gonna go back again.

I cannot fault the care I have received here over the last few days. They're crazy busy and the wards are full. I stayed in ED for a couple of nights, which was noisy as expected. But I received all the care that I needed to start my recovery. Then to the wards where I was given the attention I needed by lovely friendly nurses and staff. My expedience was very positive.

Not really sure how to lodge an official complaint so I'm going to leave a review until I can. If I could give this experience I've just had 0 stars I honestly would. Around 8:40pm tonight the 20th of April 2023, I experienced extreme pain in both of my sides right where your ovaries are, my vision went blurry, I became violently nautious and I collapsed. I've experienced this before as an ovarian cyst rupturing, I came to the hospital at 9pm after one of my coworkers drove me. I was met with a triage nurse wearing a red incredibles shirt, she asked what was wrong, I said I think I've burst an ovarian cyst, before I could say anything else she muttered under her breath "really", obviously not in the nicest tone. I then went on to explain my symptoms through tears and she said "yep", I said I have endometriosis and PCOS she said what's your pain management plan, I told her, I don't have access to strong pain medication, so it's mainly physio therapy deep breaths, nurofen but this pain was extreme. She then said so what you came to hospital? Yes. I came to hospital because the pain was that bad I collapsed and my vision went blurry. She then proceeded to ask me if I'm on my period I said yes I've had the same one for over a year now and she said that's impossible. I don't know why I would lie about that considering it's quite literally ruining my life but go off I guess. She told me oh have you tried birth control you should really go on it, I was on birth control for 9 years. I was on nearly every form of it and it didn't help me once. I told her this and she went so what do you want me to do then. Obviously I'm at the hospital because I want help? So I came and sat down, an hour went by I asked for pain medication and she didn't even triage me. She took me off the triage list. She's also refusing me pain medication because it can't be that bad.

Went to ed yesterday in acute pain. Drs and nurses that dealt with me were awesome. However!!after being told by surgeon to come back in if it got worsePresented tonight by ambulance in pain again. Pain was excruciating whilst sitting in ed. pain was that bad I passed out and collapsed to floor. Some form of nurse (used very loosely) came and told me to get up!! I asked for a hand and she refused to help. I am not bending down to get you?? Nit a very Nice manner used by this piece of work. Get up you can’t lay on the floor. I said I collapsed from pain do you really think I would just lay on a disgusting floor. Maybe this nurses skills could be better used elsewhere. Like Africa!! As she is no good as an ed nurse. I will be calling director of nursing. If anything happens to me in meantime I will hold this nurse accountable. I will get her name!!

Caboolture hospital has less competent and less caring staff than the 3rd reichs T4 program. I have been there repeatedly stating that I can’t eat and I’m constantly in pain and throwing up. The doctors answer??? Giving me a chicken sandwich. I later on went to the RBH only to be told I had a severe iron deficiency an extreme flair up of ulcerative colitis and that my bowel needed removing. This was all 3 years ago. To further prove their ineptitude yesterday my mother awoke at 5am in extreme pain, she is someone who rarely if ever even responds to pain so she was rushed to Caboolture hospital by my father where she sat from 5:30am to 6:15pm (nearly 13hrs) waiting to see someone just to be told by doctors to take a Panadol. These vermin can’t be trusted to do anything above a splinter. Burning the whole place down would be the humane thing. Update. My mother went to the Prince Charles hospital, and they determined that she requires hip and knee surgery, not Panadol.

3 stars is way overly generous for this hospital. If I could give negative stars that’s what my review would be. Not following protocols of keeping male & female patients separated. My mother who went in to Emergency received no food for 1.5 days despite being a high risk patient. Was moved to a private room, then moved out to a ward with males. Stay Away and Avoid this Hospital if at all possible. [Oct 2020 update] Just to add to this review, my mother passed away, not because of the treatment here but you also didn’t help with your ridiculous need spend on services to get government funding. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS HOSPITAL!

Would leave no stars. They claim my father does not have Bipolar even though he had it for the last 20 years properly diagnosed. Now they want to release him with no medication.

Very. Long. Wait. Bad if you're here for mentally ill reasons, they'll make you sit in a queue for 2 hours. Nurse was very kind and listened to my problems. It's weird how people are waiting for hours and seeing the nurse only takes like 10 minutes.

I want to give a huge shout out to the staff at the Daily Procedure Unit at Caboolture Public Hospital. I attended 13 October for a procedure and I had exceptional service and care from the young lady at general admissions on the ground floor to everyone from DPU who cared for me. I was treated with respect, care, kindness and above all their integrity and professionalism is exemplarary. Thank you all for your devoted service to our health system. Thank you.

Great experience here, can’t fault the staff because of the shortfalls in the current healthcare crisis. Many of the health care professionals leave their homes and loved ones to care for the wider public that whinge online about whatever shortfalls they experience here. My nurse hadn’t eaten or gone to the bathroom for 8 hours because of the demands placed upon them. We appreciate you!

I was in ED and then ward 2A for 3 nights as I required emergency surgery. There were a few problems: a power-mad nurse in ED who threatened to have me removed from the premises by security if I did not sit in a waiting room chair instead of laying on the floor with excruciating abdominal pain due to a life-threatening condition; my ultrasound report taken on day 1 was not in my file on day 2 so the surgical team did not know of the severe issue that was identified and then had difficulty finding the report; the suboptimal patient communication; and the lack of privacy on the ward of 4 patients where a drawn curtain is insufficient to block the most intimate details from being known to everyone else in the ward. One waits and waits wondering if surgery will be soon, or even today and then suddenly there are a multitude of people buzzing about, rushing one to theatre. Patience by patients is a requirement: do not expect anything except meals and shift changes to be on a schedule. I received excellent surgical treatment from a professional team of doctors, and that is what matters. The keyhole surgery was an unqualified success. The nursing staff were mostly pleasant, empathetic and helpful. The imaging staff (ultrasound, MRI, CT) were all excellent in communicating and getting me in and out quickly. I unreservedly recommend Caboolture Hospital for emergency surgery.

As much as I hate hospitals, there was a nurse named Tahlia on last night that had to take my blood. I'm terrified of needles and she made it a bare able experience. She was so gentle and quick, I didn't actually feel it. Highly recommend her for any blood work, I didn't cry or scream which is a first.

The staff are great! They were short staffed and did what they could to support those in pain. It is FIVE STRS for the staff running the counter on night shift. I was at the North Lakes Health Precinct and the CNC made an assessment and told me I needed to present to ER as my fistula arm was swelled from my hand to my elbow. However on presentation to Caboolture hospital it became clear that the staff are poorly resourced. The infra out wait times says 10 minutes for emergency, then a 30 minute wait and for semi- emergency it’s a60 minutes. Three hours later. I have swelling fro my hand to my elbow. I must of got bit by an insect. I don’t have pain only when I touch the area I got bit on. What makes it serious is that it’s my fistula arm which is my life line as I have dialysis. Well I’m gonna go home. It will be quicker for me to get an appointment with my doctor in the morning.

Kudos to this hospital. Short staffed is an understatement, but that’s not their fault. I came in on July 8, a Saturday of all times at 8:30am and was given a bed at 10am the same day. Every single health professional in my stay and transition home were informative and involved me in every single process to ensure I understood what care I was receiving. A particular shoutout to the nurses in maternity ward, where I was transferred from surgical due to shortages of beds. Nurse Maddison in maternity and a sweet lady with glasses and purple-ish hair. You all deserve the utmost praise for your above and beyond care of me and everyone in that ward. Your politeness and compassionate tone made my anxious stay, very very comfortable. With all the tone deafness happening in the media at the moment, this hospital deserves its praise. Thank you also to Dr Ratnapala and his team (Dr Abbey, Dr Michael and Dr Sam) for taking tremendous care of me.

Had the misfortune of having to go to Caboolture Hospital ED today. Followed the ambulance carrying my mother having a Cardiac Episode. RAMPED WHY WOULD YOU RAMP A CARDIAC PATIENT???? A brand new hospital ED with a tiny triage desk manned by 2 staff. This ED department should have at least 4- 6 staff manning triage. Line up of people waiting

My mother was in W3b from September 11 to October 13. The doctor is thoughtful, present whenever my mother needs her, explains clearly, gently and warmly. The nursing team is the bright spot of the hospital, I don't have enough good words to praise them, Marylou, Linda... I wish I could remember all their names. Especially my mother and I are not good at English, but they were patient, gentle, careful and dedicated to taking care of my mother. I would like to sincerely and respectfully thank them. Sending our sincere thanks to doctors Dr. Shyamala, Dr.Lewis.

Not a great experience at Caboolture hospital. Since patient has been admitted - Floors have not been mopped or cleaned in 3 days. Blood left on floor for 3 days. Bathroom was cleaned once in 3 days. Patient was showered by nurses every 2nd day. Patient was left 2 days without a shower, after cannula was pulled out by patient - so patient was left 2 days with blood on shirt, bed and floor.

Another elderly patient with recent cardiac prolems was sent home at 2 am from Caboolture hospital. Her husband awaiting a knee replacement was called to collect her, had a tyre blowout on the Bribie bridge due to debris on the the bridge. How many more elderly patients will be sent home at risk like this, it has been happening for years, shame on you. Surely she could have been kept comfortable until more appropriate arrangements could be made.

Apon arrival i was greeted by some friendly ladies, I spent 4 hours sitting outside waiting to be seen by a doctor.. The ladies at the front desk fed me the delusion that I will be getting seen shortly.. shortly never arrived im afraid. Times pases, I finally am allowed to enter, I am then greeted by a lady named Cassie, her service was more than friendly, quite pleasant, we formed a bond after another 5 hours that I spent there. She fed me, gave me tea to drink, even a blanket.. at this point I even questioned if she could read me a bed time story, but I was in no manor to do so as I wore my red shoes in hopes to pick up.. with that said, my mission failed, I am still here, sitting in disgust, with how I was lead on by an entire staff team that painted this reality of where id be served within a period of time. I couldn't grasp this realm, my mind couldn't process the thought of even being seen as I have been let down.. this illusion they created for me, have me struggle more with mental issues than ever before.. I was sleep deprived and needed answers!! Now I feel ill have PSTD from this place and I don't know how to feel.. as I write this now, I am still here, asking for help, needing answers! When will I be served? If I pass, to my loved ones, seek answers! Avenge my death!

There are good and bad everywhere. The hospital is no different. I would like to thank Caboolture Hospital for saving my life. I was brought in by ambulance, taken straight down for CT scan where they found a mass on my brain. The nurses and specialist came straight down to see me and organised for me to be rushed to a specialist surgical team at RBWH. I had a brain tumour. Not fun and after op not good news but at the moment I am still here spending quality time with my family. So yes. Thank you to the staff and docs on that day and evening for giving me time.

I had the worst time in Caboolture Hospital, they were rude from the time I got into emergency until I left, glad I have moved to another suburb so I will never be admitted there again, they even stood close by rubbishing me and I heard everything. Yes, heard everything they said about me, I took a tablet the night before and had a bad reaction, so they looked on me as a druggie, which is disgusting, I have my Doctor who treats me for anxiety, so my tablets are just for that, yes I must say from admittance very nasty horrible staff and the nursing staff rubbishing patients is is a disgrace to people when they are vulnerable. is only for anxiety which is prescription from my Doctor. How dare them treat people when they're sick, very bad attitude and next time please don't be surprised

Absolutely useless. I have a chronic pain condition and got a pain flare I couldnt manage. I have a stong pain threshold from being in pain 24/7 but this was unbearable. I brought with my my full medical profile so they could understand my condition and treat me correctly. They told me I wasnt allowed to have my prescription drugs whilst in their care, only medications given by the doctor. They gave me 1/3 of my normal pain dosage to which i told them what my script dose is and they said to see how the 1 went. I laid in the hospital bed crying for another 40 minutes in so much pain, no one cared. I packed up my stuff, still crying in agony, asked where the door was so i could leave to have adequete pain relief from my handbag. This hospital should be absolutely ashamed! You wouldn't assist my pain, no one looked at my medical file i brought with me, no physical exam, no scans and under medicated. How do you just leave someone in so much pain?! I understand pain, i live with it daily and this is the only time i have gone to the hospital as i thought you could help more. Please educate your team on chronic pain and maybe suggest they read the file i brought with me.

Many thanks to the staff of Ward 3a for the exceptional end-of-life care provided to our elderly relative despite the somewhat challenging environment in which that care was provided. A special commendation also to Palliative NP Toni Bradly, who did a stellar job despite the very limited resources she had to work with. The care was respectful and appropriately reverential. Sadly, this care was unable to be provided at our relatives place of residence (Bribie Island) due to severe limitations of the services available, namely, general practice.

Jesus Christ you can't even help out a baby that's in pain and agony, takes Ryan's Rule to cement a proper practice of conduct. You are an absolute joke and a stain on our healthcare system. Your lack of compassion by nurses who earn 75k on median and doctors who earn 150k on median is whats wrong with our hospitals. I'm sick to death of the lack of empathy within hospitals. You need to reform now!!! Before it's too late d*ckheads.

Male nurse helped himself and went through my bag saying they were just documenting my personal property. I was outraged at such an invasion of privacy. Senior doctor was a complete tool that could only diagnose a problem that fit into his textbook narrative and tried to tell me how I felt instead of actually listening. I can see why this hospital is constantly in the news, being sued for negligence etc

I attended Caboolture ED early morning on 20 June. And I would like to make comment on my treatment by all the staff, but particularly intern dr. Tim Mc. I was seen within 20 minutes and went to various scans during the morning. The staff were very good at keeping things going smoothly. There were various people arriving via ambulance and quite a few children with parents in tow. The ED beds were full and there were quite a lot of them. Some people appeared to have been there all night. Now this is a reflection of the hospital and health system not having enough beds and a busy flu season. Plus people use the ED rather than wait to see a doctor. In my case, it was urgent. I had to give up a bed several times, to make way for new patients coming in. At all times Dr. Tim kept me informed. I was able to sit in a chair, so was ok. But all the staff were excellent and did their best with what they have to work with. And, in case the vindictive drama loving journalists haven’t noticed, there is a new multi story wing being built right outside the ED. This will probably help with more beds, just a guess. But thank you to ALL the hard working staff at Caboolture hospital ED, you are ok by me.

Best hospital ever 😍 Totally didn’t wait HOURS to be given antibiotics that didn’t help but also made the pain in my kidney WORSE <3 Administration people were too busy chatting and having a laugh while I’m in pain, totally didn’t let them know that I am a type 1 diabetic who threw up in the toilets and the nurse just said “ok we’ll get you a blood test” LIKE FIVE HOURS LATER!!! I even asked the ambulance to take me to another hospital from bad experience here last night but said they couldn’t for some reason? LITERALLY SHUT DOWN CABOOLTURE HOSPITAL as good as it is closer to home, it’s not worth waiting hours to be given a 2 minute visit with the doctor, waste of time and MONEY since they decided to upgrade this heap of sh1t hospital. I’ll give it to the doctors as they are nice but don’t even consider to even give you more information on your diagnosis, DIDNT tell me that my kidney infection is what was causing my vomiting, fevers, shivering, nausea etc etc (first time having a kidney infection so I didn’t know what to expect lol) literally has to google it which shows how much you can depend on the doctors here to give you info lol.

If I could give negative stars I would. I turned up at 430am after having excruciating pains after a surgery that was causing me to have difficulty breathing and sweating. I then waited an hour in this paid for some pain relievers only to start throwing up quite a lot. I was then put into a consult room with an cannula put in and had my bloods taken and then left there and forgotten about for the next 3 hours and in that time had found a dirty needle under the bed. We then went and asked someone if they were actually going to come back to check on me and no one knew I was in there for a nurse to then rudely come to some ops like she was annoyed at us for asking for help and when I asked for some water I was told to use the water from the tap in the toilet🤢 after I had received 3 lots of pain relievers and nausea medications and waited an extra 5 hours in the waiting room in discomfort I was told because I wasn’t feeling the pain at that moment they are not going to investigate it even though I was only not in the pain because I was given drugs to relieve it so I was sent home in the same condition I arrived in with 9 hours absolutely wasted. Will never be returning.
