Much bigger than I expected with a wide range of animals, but still has a secluded feel about it. It is a really nice animal sanctuary with lots of rescues and more free space for animals to roam than your regular zoo. The rainforest walk is awesome. The cafe food was surprisingly good and very fresh, despite the menu being quite basic. My 2 year-old enjoyed his experience so much that he didn't want to leave even after several hours. We'll definitely be back.

Park was okay, and a nice way to spend a few hours, although arguably not as good as other wildlife parks in the area. The park was relatively quiet, and the staff and keepers were quite friendly. A few of the animals were pacing which felt like something wasn’t quite right with the enclosure or care (although not an expert here…).

Had the VIP tour and had the most amazing experience. Got to get up close to 6 different animals, pet meerkats, lemurs, monkeys, capybaras.... just loved it so much. Entire experience took about 3 hours and get a photo of your choice at the end. You can get as many photos as you want throughout with your own camera.

Why haven't I been earlier? After driving past for years, we finally visited and I'm suitably impressed. Each animal has a large "close to natural" enclosure. Ice blocks on a hit dsy or frozen berries fir the baboons, fans in their compounds and by far a better experience than Australia Zoo. We loved it! And loved the acknowledgement and respect to Bob Irwin (founder of Australia Zoo).

Very well maintained exhibits, clean environment and a surprisingly large collection of Exotic Animals. Wildlife HQ is especially well looked after and each of the numerous exhibits are professionally designed and display care for each animal they house. The Zoo Keepers are friendly and knowledgeable. There are daily talks at numerous exhibits. The Baboon talk was especially interesting. There are Baboons, Meerkats, Dingoes, Tamarins, Koalas, Porcupines, Wombats, Alligators, Boa Constrictors and so many more amazing creatures. Wildlife HQ is truly home to native and exotic animals from around the world. It is located next to the Big Pineapple which is a very short drive off the Bruce Highway.

What an absolute treat! The animals are evidently, incredibly happy, heaps of room for them, clean pens, enriched environments for each animal. A wide variety of animals to see. No ridiculous crowds and queues and lots and lots of shaded areas. Really amazing conservation. Barely recognisable from the original big pineapple facilities. I highly recommend going here, I think this will be our go to zoo on the coast from here out as it was just awesome! A big thumbs up all around.

We love this Zoo and bought season passes this year. It’s small and friendly which is nice when you don’t want a massive day trip, however the range of animals is great, and they appear well taken care of. Happy to see that the pavement through the forest has been resurfaced which will make it more accessible.

This is a lovely little family zoo. It is well set out and great for toddlers as well as older family members. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the price was affordable. More of an intimate experience than the big zoos and still a great array of animals. We loved the sun bear and the quokka. The reptile area was also better than most!

4.5 stars! Surprisingly large sanctuary. The enclosures were great and well taken care of. The animals all appeared healthy and it was very nice to see some animals roaming about, that you could interact with. There is a large variety of animals as well, which I was not expecting. The cafe has delicious food too!! I’d definitely recommend visiting 😊

My girls wanted to meet the capybaras close up so we booked the encounter. It was amazing. Well worth the cost going towards such a fabulous zoo with caring and highly educated animal keepers and great habitats for the animals. Definitely recommend the experience. Great to get kids off the screens and back to nature (even though they became obsessed with capybaras via social media 😊)

Great place to visit ~ We absolutely loved our Monkey 🐒 experience, it was such awesome value for money! All the people were just lovely and very caring towards the animals 😊 must be able to walk up/down hills so would recommend maybe e scooters for some people to get around? Great variety of animals and lots of beautiful scenery. Highly recommend visiting this place! 5☆ We will definitely be back to support you on our next visit to the Sunshine Coast!

Love taking the kids here. Every time we visit there are new animals to see. Small zoo, never over crowded and have plenty of room to comfortably walk around with out feeling squashed. Favourites are the gibbons and the spider monkeys. Definitely recommend checking this place out!!!

Lots of trees & beautiful, well cared for wildlife in immaculate habitats with a focus on conservation. Excellent signage, lovely staff & reasonable prices in cafe & for special events like photos. Our first visit we bought an annual pass as we left & have been back 5 days later with a view to ongoing visits. Highly recommend this place for a wonderful wildlife experience.

Such a lovely little zoo! Well priced, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Loads of animals and heaps of animal interactions available. You really get to be quite close to a lot of the animals. I've been a couple times now and the place is continually evolving and changing its enclosures for the better. They are doing such great work for education and conservation.

Wonderful place! Much more intimate and up close with the animals compared to larger Zoos. Absolutely worth having an experience of feeding the animals too. Very reasonably priced. I fed the Tamarin Monkeys and will never forget it. 🥰 They are super adoreable and will sit on your shoulder. A must see for everyone!

We have little kids so this wildlife park is good. It isn't a long walk to cover the park. Our kids loved it. If anyone is looking for the entrance though, it's past the big pineapple car park. We had to ask and then get back in the car and drive down to the bottom carport. The photo i took is the entrance.

Loved it. Great for people who are keen to learn about different types of animals, especially the Native animals of Australia. Kids loved it too. Awesome day out. Might be better to go with food or eat before going as the Cafe was pretty expensive.

Fantastic zoo! The animals look really healthy and happy and the enclosures seem good sized for each animal. We went on an overcast day so the animals were quite active, it was not overly crowded and there was no wait to get in. Easy to wheel a pram around as well. Highly recommend!

Absolutely BRILLIANT night at the Night Zoo for our son’s 10th birthday. Saw so many wonderful creatures and learned so much. Highly recommend this place. Such a great manageable size and a wonderful rainforest setting. Loved the African painted dogs and the cervals. Well worth the money.

Never thought I'd feel sad leaving a zoo but today I've been proven wrong, although the animals are really cute to look at, their enclosures are really disappointing. Notable the volunteer staff were friendly and would have the animals best interest at heart but the vibe of the place feels like someone has just given up on it.

We had the best experience with kind staff Dan the train driver and the encounters with the animals were well worth the kids smiles. A beautiful zoo that is still under construction and they do well to make it happen. Lovely little zoo. Affordable and natural. Excellent range of exotic animals unlike the normal zoo. One down point. Wheelchair access is not the greatest, but I am sure I'm time this will be sorted due to their want to please all customers. Well done guys. All the best in your growth.

Thoroughly enjoyed. A great variety of animals, many not seen at other zoos. All enclosures very clean, as well as the whole area outside. Friendly, helpful staff. A lovely Wednesday visit, peaceful and not crowded. Actually was able to talk with the animals, with no-one else around. Can't wait to return. I really enjoyed the visit. The train ride down was very nice and the zoo was a really nice surprise. Lots of animals to look at, probably suited to families with younger kids. It was cool to weave through the different areas and then out to areas where kangaroos and emus were free roaming. I really want to come back and check out the high ropes course, it looked amazing

Brilliant zoo! Animals are all very well cared for, and grounds are very well maintained and clean. I had an animal encounter and it was an incredible experience. The Keeper (Jodie) was fantastic, offering facts, allowing me to take my time enjoying the animals, and taking lots of photos for me to remember my experience. Couldn't recommend it enough. Thank you Jodie!

A beautiful, quaint and scenic Wildlife Park. We really enjoyed our visit to Wildlife HQ. The staff/volunteers were all very friendly, accommodating and take the time to talk to you about the animals. The enclosures are very tidy and the animals look like they're all very well looked after. There are animals at this Wildlife Park that we've never seen anywhere else at the likes of Australia Zoo, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Darling Downs Zoo etc. Amazing place, we will be back.

One of the few zoos I'd happily donate to, animals all look healthy, staff were all happy to be there and if you are lucky you can get up pretty close and personal with the animals even if you don't want to pay for the photos with them.

Nice zoo with lots of variety and just a change from the “usual” Australia Zoo you would visit. A nice addition is the train ride from the parking spot to the zoo which is great for the kids. Also enough opportunity to take photos with animals if you contact them before you go or early in the morning when visiting.

Quality over Quantity. This zoo may be small but it hhs a big heart. Every animal looked well cared for and in a safe environment. I know there have been some big upgrades made since a friend visited a few years ago and the hard work shows. Pricing for animal encounters is very afforable and the keeper gave us a lot of freedom to ask questions and take pictures during ours. We commented all day that we would be back. Highly reccomend.

The zoo is small, but perfectly sized to wander around with children. There is a surprising variety of animals, especially monkeys. Majority of the grounds are shaded and there is a lovely rainforest feel to the establishment. There is a nice area of free range animals including kangaroos, emus and a deer. I do feel the enclosures are too small for the size and amount of animals. It was a nice way to spend an hour or so wandering outside.

Wildlife HQ was a brilliant day out for the whole family! I wasn't expecting much as we walked up to the humble looking entrance but I was very pleasantly surprised. There's an incredible range of exotic animals, some I'd never heard of let alone seen before. Plus there are wallabys, kangaroos, emus and a dear wandering around free that are very friendly and happy to allow you to interact with them. The enclosures are well-designed and make viewing easy for kids young & old. The cafe is reasonably priced & great for a break mid way through the day. There is an option for close animal encounters for an extra $50 and although we chose not to spend the extra, it did look like good value. All in all an excellent family day out!

  • 5/5 Raie N. 3 years ago on Google
A fantastic little zoo. We saw animals we'd never seen before. All the exhibits had easy to read information about the animals. The cafe has a nice selection of food and is reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming back. One of the best zoos we've ever been to (including Australia Zoo)

My husband & I really enjoyed ourselves today. We first made our way to the cafe for a coffee which was set out really nice, it has a nice variety of food & drinks etc to choose from. The barista made coffee was really nice to. We then slowly made our way around the very shady wildlife park exhibits. It’s very well set out clean & the animal enclosures were set up to engage the animals and very clean to. While The staff were feeding the animals they were happy to chat to me answering my million questions!!!!! It’s a very calming atmosphere & you don’t feel the need to rush , it was a Great day out. I will come back even just to have a coffee and sit amongst it to just relax. I would highly recommend this park to families who have little ones. Thank you

I took my vacation care kids to the zoo and we had the BEST time! Julie went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time giving all the kids maps and explaining where everything was. Enclosures are great for close viewing for children of all ages and we were even lucky enough to pat some emus and kangeroo’s. I have seen some reviews saying the zoo is small but in my option it’s huge. It took us 5 hours to get around to everything, would highly recommend!

It's ok, both enclosures and open spaces were well kept the day we went. Not the best zoo we've seen (Ballarat zoo is the best so far) but definitely not the worst either. Generally we had a good impression on how the animals are kept. For the majority the animals are small size, either native or Southern emisphere's origin, choice to which I agree with being an Australian Zoo. My faves were dingos, cassowary and Serval (African wild cats). Also, the famous Irwin fam's Australian Zoo, which is 30 mins far, is more than double the price but I don't think it's double as good as WHQ though. There's room for improvement but I guess it all comes down to funds at a certain stage and, considering the rates, it's more than fair. Overall WHQ it's a good little zoo and I would recommend it to anyone.

I can see potential in this wildlife park. It's got plenty of land and has two establishments of animal presentation areas. Hopefully we can see a theme in this park in the future. Park Map could be updated and hopefully the train can be fixed. Wild life interaction area also needs some TLC. at this stage it's not really worth revisiting.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful, and should be commended. The zoo is great too. I accompanied a client with a disability here, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They were all so friendly and helpful. It was a pretty hard push in a manual wheelchair, but the Quokka encounter definitely made up for it. The zoo has a nice family friendly feel to it and I will definitely be coming back.

Very surprised by this place. Its a must visit destination while your on the Sunshine Coast. Family had a great day out. Animals and enclosures are well looked after. Would recommend this over another zoo that's located Sunshine Coast.

Great spot to take children. Nice little cafe and a small version of australia zoo but not over crowded. Must stop place

Paths are improving, much easier for prams or carts for the kids. The price for kids is now $20 entry which is good. Sitting area for picnic near lemurs, and cafe is fine for snacks and light lunch. The place is looking better than the last time we went at the beginning of the year. Overall great Sunday outing, good for families.

Great range of animals. More to see than at other Zoo's near by and a much better admission price too. Needs more seats around the Zoo. Like in front of the Monkeys

Oh what a lovely place. They have exotic animals feeding and picture sessions which you can book prior to the visit because it's usually booked out. Wildlife HQ was a spontaneous plan for us while on our vacation in Kiels Mountain and this was recommended by a local. We enquired and got the spots for Meerkat and Cotton Top Tamerins. Such wonderful experience. They charge extra for each animal but the experience felt so good and we got to click plenty of pictures and videos with them. It was my first time seeing a meerkat and absolutely loved it. The staff were so helpful and friendly and very well Informed. I can see myself visiting here again. The entry fee is 34 per person and 50 extra for each animal you chose to feed.

Best part was watching the superviséd troupe of preschoolers enjoy this nature park. Good variety of wildlife, obviously well looked after. Did not have the sterile theme park atmosphere. Deserves more financial help to keep it running. We lunched on very good mexican food served from a van. There was a sheltered place to eat where we were able view more animals. The deer and the emu were particularly amusing as unusual aussie mates.

Amazing day out, we spent about 3 and half hours and saw everything but could have stayed all day!! Staff were friendly, the animal encounters were amazing and the park is so relaxing and you really feel like you are in a tropical rainforest. Would recommend to anyone but especially great for kids.

Come hang out with some of your local wildlife. (Wildlife HQ) There is plenty of things to experience from animals inclosures, petting zoo, photography sessions and presentations. I recommend going to hang out with these guys! They are super chill & love to hold your hand while you feed them! Staff super friendly and have alot of knowledge to share. I highly recommend it 👌😊🖖 LOVE ALL LIFE, WE ALL HAVE A DREAM TO EXPERIENCE ❤♾❤

Great wildlife experience. Well kept animal enclosures with a surprisingly large variety of animals. Reasonable selection at the cafe and the gift shop had a good variety. Lovely gardens with plenty of shade and sitting areas.

What a wonderful day. The zoo is amazing. Easy to wander around with a big group, lots of shady spots to pause. Wheelchair friendly. The enclosures are absolutely amazing - the way they've incorporated existing flora into the spaces is just stunning. Very affordable, good parking and excellent amenities. We didn't eat at the Cafe but took a picnic lunch and ate with the lemurs!

I have to say this is my favourite zoo around Brisbane Area. Perfect size to walk with young kids. Exotic animals no where to be seen. Friendly zookeepers and beautiful enclosures for the animals! I will definitely Recommend more friends to visit.

Always love coming here! Amazing array of native Australian and exotic international animals. My favourites include quokkas, African servals, capybaras, and lemurs! The entry fees are very good value for money, and you can add on various animal photos/encounters. The keeper talks are fascinating, and all of the enclosures and facilities are really well maintained. Couldn't recommend more highly! 👌

Really enjoyed the experience and animals. Not as crazy busy as Australia Zoo, nice family place to visit.

Super enjoyable and easy going day out. My husband and I wanted something restful to do while around the area and a long stroll around while observing the cutest of animals was just what we needed.

Obviously a lot of people really enjoy this zoo but it wasn’t for me. Watching this meerkat repetitively run up and down next to the glass was so depressing. We made the error of going in the afternoon when it was quite hot and a lot of animals were resting in the shade. Morning would probably be a lot better.

Visited today and did the VIP tour. We got to have 6 encounters with 6 different animals. It was amazing! Our tour zoo keeper was the best! She was so informative, friendly, passionate about the animals and really made the whole experience incredible! Highly recommend doing the VIP tour and visiting the wildlife hq!

I have been multiple times and my favourite animal is the Maned Wolf due to the nature of it. The zoo has a wide range of species from a Sun bear all the way to snakes and Pygmy Marmosets. Ideal for small kids as not much walking but avoid prams as the gravel step path may cause issues. Good cafe and has monkey enclosure attached so while you eat you can watch the marmosets.
