Nice place, amazing dinner experience tonight. Ordered Wagyu, seafood platters, free range pork belly, buttermilk quail and creamy potato. We are satisfied about food and service. The staff are excellent. Thanks for letting us have a perfect dinner tonight.

They have nice food but the service is next level! Such a nice helpful well trained staff. But the environment is busy and noisy, that’s why I reckon it’s a nice place for business meetings not date nights. Got marinated albacore tuna(fresh tasty tuna), coral coast barramundi ( nice but a bit salty for me), king river wagyu ( very well seasoned and best dish on the table), QLD baked blue pumpkin ( nice as a side to wagyu) Also I don’t recommend ordering cocktails here because the execution is basic as you can see in photos

We really enjoyed the wagyu and hanger steaks. The wagyu was especially flavoursome and tender. The view overlooking the bridge is pretty special at night and service here is always attentive. Highly recommend the baked Dutch Cream potatoes, as a side. Runner beans, also. The fries are pretty good but not as memorable.

Came to Blackbird Dining for a work lunch and the Seafood was the star of the show!! Best oysters ever and the tuna tartar was actually delish (sometimes it can be fishy). The Wagyu Tomahawk steak was shared one between 7 and was sufficient with sides. Wine choices were superb! Thank you to the friendly staffers who accommodated us!

We had Christmas Day Lunch at Blackbird. It was a 4 course set menu with premium drinks package. Outstanding food, excellent service and brilliant view of the river while dining. Couldn't fault the day. Thank you for a lovely Christmas Lunch. Update 26/01/2024 We had the Bar set for 4 Pax Really good value @ $35 per person for what you get. Seafood platter, charcuterie platter, Croquettes and a cheese platter that was to die for. Combined with a few cocktails it was a great night.

We went to the Blackbird with a group of friends. It was our first time there. The décor the atmosphere was great. You can see the chefs cooking from your seat the nice smells from the kitchen and the wood grill was fantastic. We all had steaks and they where cooked to perfection, probably the best steak I have had in Brisbane. The wait staff where very attentive refilled drinks and took plates away quickly. The dining experience was top notch, I don't think any of us could fault a thing. It was busy for a Thursday night most tables full great views over the Storey Bridge and the river. Great place, so good I took my parents there for their anniversary on Saturday night. I asked on Thursday night to book a table for Saturday at 6pm and I was told there were no tables available for Saturday night at 6pm, so I tried my luck and booked online Friday morning and got a table surprise. But be careful you need to put in a credit card as there is a booking fee and if you cancel within 24 hours and other conditions you loose the fee. Really good dining experience both nights, we will be back.

It’s crazy how good this place is! 😍 In Brisbane working and this is the 2nd time we’ve been back… we ordered exactly the same as what we had the first time! Can it be any better?? Now I can try something different from the menu because this was as good if not better than the first time! The Dutch Potato… oh my goodness! 😋

Wow what an incredible experience! The staff were attentive and super-professional, but friendly not stiff. I can't find enough superlatives to describe the food. The best Barramundi I've ever tasted; the seafood platter was uber-fresh, and the duck-liver pate and dutch baked potatoes were to die for. Unfortunately they ran out of tomato juice so I couldn't get a Bloody Mary so had to settle for a Martini instead. The atmosphere was busy but the beautiful surroundings and river views were spectacular. Blackbird sets the gold standard for Brisbane restaurants and I will definitely be returning.

We had our anniversary dinner tonight and we had a three course menu. Every single plate served on the table was superb! Totally scrumptious and the presentation was mouthwatering! One of the staff was excellent and friendly - sorry forgot his name , Maurel? We then continued to the bar with its breathtaking view of story bridge at night- so thank you for making our anniversary so memorable 🥰

AMAZING NIGHT AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We enjoyed some pre dinner cocktails in the bar before heading in for dinner in a beautiful atmosphere with great views of the story bridge. Entrees of tomatoes and crab were amazing start before steaks, duck and lamb came for mains. We went the Icon Wagyu on it r waitress recommendation and it was the best steak ever. So very happy to enjoy dessert and more drinks after dinner. This is a great place for a special treat or just a quality experience.

Impeccable service. Fantastic food. I came here for a special night with my Sparkly lady friend 💖. We were absolutely stunned with the incredible view! We ordered the coleslaw, the tomato salad and the 500g rump from 1000 guinea farm. The meal was awesome, steak was rare, but still delicious, though we asked for medium. The salads were really well made with gorgeous sauces. For dessert we had the cheesecake which was sooo good.

My friends and I had lunch there on a Sunday for a double celebration and we were lucky enough to receive THE best customer service from both the restaurant assistant manager Mitch and his beautiful and wonderful colleague Myra!! It was hours of premium, exquisite, super friendly and delightful service- Mitch really made our visit even more memorable with the laughs and warm welcome, both himself and Myra provided excellent drinks and menu recommendations (the food was absolutely incredible- all meals and desserts were amazing)!! Both Mitch annd Myra were extremely friendly, very bubbly and made our beautiful friend feel even more incredibly special!! We couldn’t have asked for an even more amazing celebratory lunch!! Thank you!!

Wow! Best steak in town. If you want to enjoy a breathtaking view, good drinks, and some of the best meat in town in a classy but casual atmosphere, then this is a MUST location for you! Expect to pay at least $100 per person minimum, BUT it is well worth it. The post-meal bar is a great place to relax and let your food settle with a view to die for.

Amazing steak! Compliments to the steak chef! Cooked perfectly. Sides plenty to share. Dutch potatoes are a must. They are pre wrapped in food clay to produce perfect consistency and flavour. Running beans with feta and truffle topping just Compliments the dish. Dessert was the pavlova which was perfectly presented and a tart rhubarb sorbet within to finish off a luscious meal. Well worth the money, certainly get what you pay for. All set within a beautiful setting and a lovely view of Story Bridge. Highly recommend dining here. 5 stars from me.

Visited this restaurant on a Sunday night without reservation as it was highly rated (4,5 stars on average with 1942 reviews) hence expectations have also been set pretty high - unfortunately they couldn't be met at all. I gave the 300 grams Warwick Farms Black Angus Flank Steak priced at 63 AUD along with the roasted carrots (ginger beer glaze, walnut crumbs) priced at 14 AUD a try. Steak was requested at medium-rare and was served at medium-well at best and hence rejected by me. The 2nd attempt was better but still not exactly at the requested cooking stage and the meat wasn't of great quality either. The level of attendance from the staff was not there after my complaint - until I finished the meal. Unless stated in the menu online there is a 10% surcharge on Sundays (and 15% on public holidays).

Very nice restaurant with great views. Service was just the right balance of hands off and visiting to ensure you are good to go. The steak was cooked excellent and required zero sauce to ensure it was a 5 stars meal.

Very inadequate service and meals were not amazing Entree was basically cherry tomato. Mains slab of Barra or lamb rump, dessert… We couldn’t get served a drink and we were meant to have wine at the tables and a bar tab So disappointed I was really looking forward to this

We went there on Wednesday night and vibe was immaculate. All the food was top notch with great flavour. Really loved the service and staff were lovely too. The lady looking after our table was so helpful and friendly and her vibe was great. I think her name was Madu if I remember correctly. We had food and drinks in restaurant and got a complimentary dessert for my husband’s birthday❤️ Bar view was also so good. Will definitely be back😊

My husband and I recently hosted a dinner event at Blackbird with over 20 guests in the Deco Room and dealt mainly with the Events Executive - Sam Pritchard. The whole experience was very seamless and Sam was able to answer the endless questions I had leading up to the event. Sam was extremely accommodating arranging extra tables for the cake and message books and even tea candles for the dinner table, along with ensuring we had a menu which suited all the dietary requirements for our guests. On the night of our dinner we had a very professional and kind waitress who made sure we were on track for dinner and was always checking in with us. Overall, we enjoyed the entire experience and would highly recommend Blackbird if you are holding an event for a large group.

Food and drinks relatively expensive, service excellent. Expect to pay extra for things like plain water ($8), sauces, sides. Food was below expectations. No coverings on old wooden tables that are scratched and marked. We had Duck and Chicken Liver Pate (excellent), Marinated Tuna with sesame etc. (smallish for $26 and with an unremarkable taste). For mains the Organic Lamb $48 (perfectly cooked 2 cutlets, juicy but little flavour). There should have been Globe Artichokes but they looked and tasted like the small ordinary ones you find in a jar etc. Tamarind Glazed Duck Leg $44 (a nice confit and glaze). The pickled pineapple etc. was ok but why have 2 tastes with sour? The Daikon Radish was a nice texture but with no flavour. Overall $219 including a $75 bottle (one of the less expensive) of excellent NZ Martinborough Sav Blanc. We added a tip for the service.

Average customer service, muvh worse than expected. The manager wearing glasses was not nice at all, quite rude.

We had a wonderful evening at Blackbird. The food was beautiful, portion sizes were great and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Thank you so much for a memorable evening and spoiling us with a treat for our anniversary :)

My husband and I had a great dinner to celebrate my birthday. The staff looked after us so very well and their recommendations on both food and wine were spot on. They matched the wine to the food perfectly and even though we let them choose our drinks they didn’t take advantage and try and give us the most expensive drinks on the menu. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived and we had a superb dinner. We are so grateful we chose Blackbird for a special occasion.

NYE Last night we attended the NYE party (upstairs) and the team delivered a safe, well managed, fun event like experts. The team from the welcome hosts through to security were in high spirits with more smiles, happy new years said and a bar line that was short and moved quickly. I have no hesitation in recommending Blackbird for NYE!

Decent hanger Wagyu, the crab meat entree was nice as was finishing up with the white chocolate parfait and flat white. I’d probably skip the sides - mushrooms, fries, lettuce and string beans were quite standard.

Well, We were very impressed with the pork belly menu. I think this is the first thing I recommence you to order. And for the meat is yummy too.

I'm really impressed with the dessert (first one on the menu). The combination of Balck sesame, apple, and cream, is amazingly beautiful. Highly recommended.

We had the tenderloin (equivalent to eye fillet). Done to perfection for both of us. A little sinewy in parts but extremely tender. Sides were leafy greens (just lettuce with dressing..wouldn't choose this side again as it was just lettuce with dressing for $14), green beans (delicious) and macaroni cauliflower cheese (lovely but not enough cauliflower). Great location and view of the story bridge. Waitress (Chloe?) was wonderful & went above and beyond, especially when I changed my mind about an ingredient in my Margarita & she raced to get it changed for me.

Steak “1000” GUINEAS AUSTRALIAN SHORTHORN was beautifully cooked, really enjoyed it. I wanted to say it's so far the best I have ever had. Well done chef! GRILLED BARRAMUNDI, my husband and I didn't like it. BUTTERMILK FRIED QUAIL was nice, my 18 month daughter liked it, so did we. Fries was way too salty. I wonder if they have accidentally turned over the salt-cellar.

What an experience! The Receptionist, the Kitchen staff and the Waiters are all absolute professionals. You are welcomed by the Chefs and Kitchen staff as you walk by, the Waiters overheard it was our anniversary and decorated our dessert with an anniversary plaque in chocolate, what a lovely surprise. Now the food, it is just superb. You wont be disappointed.

It was really delicious. I really enjoyed the barramundi, the truffle flavored runner beans, and the cheese flavored potatoes.

The blackbird was an exceptional establishment, the lady staff member we had tending to our table was an absolute gem she had all our needs taken care of, just so thoughtful and had lovely suggestions for sauces and entrees, the food was next level above and beyond so we're the drinks they were just made right, all in all an excellent venue with a very very nice view at night of the story Bridge. We gave our server a $100 tip for the excellent service she had provided throughout the night, and had a few more beverages on the outdoor deck after dinner, superb.

We had our wedding at Blackbird in February and cannot fault their services. Our wedding was beautiful, the views were incredible and the food was amazing. Despite the number of issues with trying to arrange a wedding during the pandemic, Emma made the process so much smoother. She was very accommodating when we needed to make last minute changes and made sure our special day went off without a hitch. We would definitely recommend Blackbird if you are planning a special event!

The beef steaks we had were delicious, though I was surprised to have it cut into strips. I'm used to having steak served uncut. The salad was fresh. The fries were crispy. I wish the cauliflower mac n' cheese had a little more seasoning. Our server was attentive even though he had a number of tables. He made sure to top off our wine when we were running low and to check in throughout the meal. I liked the velvet booths. While they have an elevator you can take, the stairs are worth taking for the fun decorations.

Food was absolutely fantastic, but as with other reviews we read before deciding to eat here, we found the service to be a little too slow for our liking. Once we were seated it took around 15mins for someone to ask if we wanted drinks, then another 20 before the drinks arrived. I tried to flag down one of the staff to ask for another drink but they never returned to the table after acknowledging that they had seen me. When we finally did order a second drink it took around 15mins to arrive, a little long for a simple Rum & Coke. After eating, we had one of the waitstaff come past our table about 4 times before I managed to catch up with her and ask for the bill so we could pay and leave. Ended up leaving cash so we didn't have to wait for someone to collect and process a card transaction. This place appears to be quite upmarket, and the prices and quality of food reflect that, but the service game needs to be picked up quite a bit.

It's been a long time since my taste buds got so excited about the food creations placed in front of me. The spanner crab dish I had was inspiring to look at and the excitement my taste buds enjoyed. That was my favourite dish but a couldn't fault any of the dishes we had. We went twice in 4 days because we enjoyed the whole experience of Blackbird including the service Kickey the assistant manager was great and gave good recommendations. We'll be coming back to Blackbird when we are next in Brisbane.

We enjoyed a delicious steak meal at this restaurant, complete with a coleslaw and a sauce of our choice. We also ordered sides to share, which were more than enough for two or three people. The veggie sides were particularly tasty. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the restaurant itself was attractive and a great spot for a romantic meal despite being a bit noisy.

This place genuinely deserves a 6th star. The waiter was charming and attentive, the food was some of the best food we have had in Brisbane and the view over the Story Bridge at night is second to none. This is fine dining at its best. The only issue we had all night was parking. We were there a lot longer than expected (over 3 hours). They also handled all dietary requirements easily. There were plenty of gluten free options.

Came for our honeymoon dinner and was not disappointed! Polished off everything shown in these photos, by the way. Absolutely incredible. Staff were lovely too! This was from August and I’m still thinking about how good the food was.

My visit to the bar was on a Sunday avie. Just amazing and spectacular views of the brown snake ( Brisbane river), the kangaroo point cliffs, the Story Bridge and Felons. The bar itself is wide and open with indoor and outdoor settings. Just brilliant. With Estrella on tap and 5 different four pillars gins on offer, the bar menu is impressive. Besides, there are some very tasty and delicate snacks and mains on offer. Lemon myrtle aioli for example. A vegan bowl and much more. Simply love this place XO

Amazing place and staff

We’ve visited Black Birds a few times now, and as usual the service and food were exceptional! By far the best restaurant in Brisbane. However this time we decided to start with a few drinks at the bar first. This was a huge disappointment! An absolute pit of sleazy drunk old men (at 5pm). Either cut the bar away or expect the same standards as your restaurant. Fantastic view just poor standards and expectations from security and staff.

Would not recommend this restaurant, we had booked a couple of weeks prior and had requested that we would have a window seat - arrived with my husband where we felt we were judged by the maitre d' - we were provided a table that faced the toilet with a staff prep facility just behind us - we requested that we be moved to one of the free tables - the maitre d' said see would just check and come back to us - we waited 15 minutes and she did not return so we decided to leave. The place is overpriced - you are only paying for the view..... I just wish they had said that they could not provide us a window seat like we requested as it was a special occasion and we would have booked somewhere else. On a positive note, after feeling terrible about the treatment at this restaurant (trust me there was definite judgement and attitude by the staff) we went to Rico a Spanish restaurant just around the corner - they were able to provide us with a great table with a perfect view, the food was amazing and better yet the staff were so friendly.... give your money to business that treat you with respect - highly recommend booking elsewhere.

Lovely food, great service. Don't ask for much more. Wine list a bit too pricey is probably the only complaint.

This was our third visit and turned out to be a very poor evening. The starter - a seafood platter that was meant to feed 4 was excellent and would be great for 1 or maybe 2 people (cost $83) The Grouper share plate (cost $72) came with only 1 dinner plate to eat with. We had to ask for a second dinner plate, maybe it was not meant to be shared? The 3rd person had Swordfish that was apparently quite nice. The two sharing the share plate were left rather hungry. Service this time was not adequate. Particularly for a bill of $450+ for three people. As a for instance we had to ask twice for the table to be cleaned after our mains, in the end we gave up and used some wet-wipes.

Staff were excellent. Friendly, attentive, prompt. Food was good. Everything was cooked well. Great flavours

Absolutely faultless. Impeccable service, outstanding food. We rated each dish 10/10. The flavours were divine, and the ambience was great, we sat in one of the circular red leather booths, 4 adults.

Excellent food and service for grilled meat, fresh shellfish and two vegetarian dishes on menu. Shellfish wasn’t the freshest as it tasted as though it might have been frozen - very wet and fairly tasteless prawns, bug and scallops. Oysters were excellent. Mackerel entree dish was superb.

With a view like this with a cocktail while waiting for your table I highly suggest Blackbird Bar & Grill..The food is absolutely amazing, we had the white lamb loin and honestly it melted in your mouth. It was so juicy and tender, cooked to perfection. For our sides we had the beans and creamy baked potato which are also just as delicious as our main. The staff are amazing, friendly and so attentive, they ensure everything is perfect as perfection is their aim. This is the 2nd time we have been there and we will be back again for sure. The view towards the story bridge is amazing and the atmosphere is romantic and intimate. If you ever want to impress, take your date here. For the price of the food it is well worth it, you can't beat quality and is worth every dollar. Fine dining at it's best.

I was invited to my dear girlfriends 40 th birthday yesterday for lunch and drinks 25 lovely ladies who all joined Renea in a private dining room What an experience in itself Fabulous food was to die for 10 out of 10 for food 10 out of 10 service was amazing , and we had the amazing Edward who was our main man serving us throughout the day was fabulous bubbly polite adorable and really good at his job Nothing was a drama for him with us ladies Perfect experience with Edward and he was just lovely and always had a smile on his face . quality service 100% We all had grazing platters that came out and the variety was just perfect for us all . Excellent service from everyone at Blackbird. From greeting us, to our table waiters and the bar attendants, all faultless. We had a booking for midday in the restaurant but in the beautiful Spring weather we were enjoying having a drink outside near the bar too much.. Everything is nice and clean.

Really nice restaurant, great food and view of the river and Story bridge even better at night when all lit up. Slow cooked lamb shoulder was amazing.

Ansic Doorman 028 Needs a reality check. Leave your ego at home. It does nothing for the 'tough guy' act you try to put on. What it does do is diminish any amount of respect patrons have for you and the over-all professionalism of your colleagues and employer. When asked a simple question, "Is this the general entry for black birds?" Your response "You mean to the bar? Does it say Black birds?" Perhaps one needs to raise the question, whether your communication skills are suitable for the job of Doorman? Out to have a couple of beers with a mate only to be sprung with that arrogant attitude after asking a simple question before we have stepped inside the door doesn't exactly start the night off well which is unfortunate for your contractor.

Beautiful venue for functions, food is beautiful and staff are amazing!

Table of 10 for a 70th birthday. Booking was from 6 to 8:30, we were there right on time and ordered fairly quickly but we didn’t get our first food until after 7. Then we were essentially rushed out, forced to order desserts while we were still eating mains (this was around 8) and reminded repeatedly that our booking finished at 8:30. The service otherwise was ok but that put a bit of a sour taste on the evening. Food was overall very good. Quail was superb, prawns in butter sauce was wonderful, desserts and sides amazing. Many of us had steaks which were cooked very well but a couple were gristly with one of them almost inedible. Fish was excellent.

What a fantastic venue! We held our Gym Christmas Party here this year and I was extremely impressed with 1. The setting and views. 2. The staff were genuinely passionate about there jobs, especially the bar staff 3. The coffee, considering I dont drink alcohol - it was a pleasant surprise to have the bar staff pull off making a perfect coffee, perfect temperature without burning the bean. If you are looking for a venue for any type of function, you will not be disappointed with Blackbird. Highly recommend ♡

i thought the food and service was amazing. Its not cheap but it delivers on quality. A very good works party venue. However..... the decor is tired and due for a revamp. the carpet in the bar area has numerous chewing gum black spots...... What a great woodfired grill to cook on!!!!

The lamb shoulder it’s just increíble. So yum and tender. Also one of the best steak I ever tried

Planned a dinner with my partner at blackbird and it did not disappoint, the most incredible steak we have ever had, the staff were beyond lovely and accommodating. We Will definitely be coming back!
