Popped in for a quick drink while waiting for a takeaway order from the Japanese restaurant next door. Asked the senior male staff member for the drinks menu and was greeted with a stony faced, unwelcoming point towards the menu. Placed an order and the younger male staffer was rude to the point of condescending when asked a question. The overall decor, music and vibe here is good, but customer service can make or break an experience and in this instance it was woeful. Won’t be back.

ordered their chicken tacos and it was overbearingly sweet. The crispy shell tasted like prawn crackers. The food are pricey and really not worth it. Service was fast but quality seemed to be compromised. We sat at the outside table and the smoke from their kitchen was all over the alfresco area making it rather unpleasant.

I never do google reviews but have to this time. I've never been so disappointed in a restaurant before in my life. 1/ My Canadian Club and dry was so watery. I don't think there was any CC in it. 2/ Karage chicken is NOT Karage Chicken. It's Frozen Chicken bulk bought. With watered down Soy sauce. 3/ Five Spice Pork Belly... chewier than Beef Jerky. 4/ Angus Beef Sliders...... very average! 5/ Food was cold 6/ The waitress was about to come up and see us and the Chef called her and told her to stay away. When I went to pay the bill we weren't even asked how our meal was, we weren't even spoken to. I was charged a $3.00 surcharge without being asked. Definatley don't recommend this place. I just wish we'd read the reviews before we went there. Please don't make the same mistake we made.

Appart from being a really expensive place drink Red wine is served too hot probably due to having bottles sitting at back (warm area) on top of fridges. Others photos confirm this, staff couldn't care less when it was brought to their attention. Owner denies there's a problem. Says the tops of fridges are cooled but there'd be condensation on them if that were the case.

Drinks are great. Tried a Corona Sunrise for the first time, its off the menu but Ryan the bartender was nice to make one. I think he did a great job. You have to try their Sticky Date, it's with Baileys, very good. I completely recommend a night out at the Bar II. Bartenders are great, really pleasant and friendly.

I love Bar 11. The (manager) staff are so kind and vibrant. They are so helpful with drinks and don’t mind if you have a sneaky dance. They always serve with a smile and make you feel welcome.

My youngest daughter invited me to the Gold Coast for lunch recently. We looked up somewhere to eat that has gf options because I am Coeliac. My daughter found a little place called Bar11. We had a lovely Mother/daughter time together. Never been there before. Great lunch we had. The food is so tasty, reasonable prices and cooked to perfection. Even the gravy was gf. They could not guarantee the chips for gf so I had mashed spuds instead. The staff were so friendly and the decor is American themed playing great music. We had such a lovely time there and would recommend it. 👍👍👍

Highly recommended! Wonderful Bar Food and Great Cocktails to die for!! Our night our with our Partners in a small group was such a great time, laughing and undoubtedly the best Bar I've seen on the Coast. Coming back very soon... ;)

The steak was dry and every piece was burnt. Had to cringe while eating it. The waiter seemed nice and asked how the food was, but when I said it was terrible and burnt she laughed awkwardly and moved on. A waste of money for a small serving of steak sliders at an outdoor table with metal stools and cigarette ash and the constant smell of smoke from the kitchen. I have never complained about any food I’ve ordered from anywhere but I felt obligated to leave my honest review so the chef can fix the food.

The website pricing is misleading to what the pricing is at the restaurant. The staff aren’t overly welcoming. The food was pretty poor for what you pay for, kinda the type you can make at home for half the price. Is a cute spot but feel like more flavour to the food should be added.

Great local place for a cocktail and catch up with some friends. Visited many times and the staff are always friendly and great at asking if you need another beverage haha Unfortunately on my most recent visit I ordered food for the first time. Mon-Wed Special $5 chicken wings and $6 dumplings. The wings... Must have been cooked AT LEAST twice, with no batter/protective coating. They were then plated with a drizzle of Heinz BBQ sauce and a fresh slice of chilli and some coriander. My view of Woolworths led me to believe the dumplings came from the freezer section and were literally dropped into the deep fryer for a little to long. To make it worse we had just come from a great little dumpling place in surfers that hand made and steamed our dumplings for the same price. 5 stars for the stars for the staff and previous experence/drinks. Food was a minus 2 so I've scored somewhere in the middle.

We have been here quite q few times over the years & the food & service has always been amazing which is why we keep coming back, however, we were there yesterday & the prices have been raised & are astronomical now - cocktails are between $24-$27 each & a plate of tapas style food is well over $20! Unfortunately we will not be going back anymore as the price of our meals & drinks yesterday for 2 people was $200 which is the same as a 5 star restaurant.

Customer service is not to be beat. Such friendly and professional staff and cannot beat their fantastic cocktails..just so yum. Food is amazing everytime I have been. 1000/10 would recommend and will be back :)

If I could give zero stars I would, the food is absolutely disgusting the owner served my steak overcooked and cold, I asked for medium rare and I got well well done. He overcooked the steak and it had no flavour at all. The mash potato that came with the meal was powdered mash potato. The salad was pretty much like eating grass. The drunks were also revolting!!!! I wish I read the google reviews before eating there. On top of it all the steak was $42 and I had to pay a extra $2 for mushroom sauce. I was told that the chef had been fired and that the owner was doing all the cooking. PLEASE DONT GO HER FOR FOOD OR DRINKS!!! Read the reviews and see how the owner attacks people who leave negative reviews. He can not take any criticism at all….

Honestly one of my favourite bars I don't get to enough. The food is always fresh and tasty. The drinks are at a fantastic price. Plus all their staff are just lovely. Definitely need to frequent Bar 11 more and will be doing so more often. Thankyou all.

Just terrible. Rude Manager. You have to try to be this bad - it doesn’t just happen. There was a decorative laser light shining in my wife and sons eyes and when we asked him to move it or turn it off he blatantly refused. Go elsewhere - anywhere else is better.

Food was good. Staff was friendly. But I was disappointed to discover that their online menu and prices are incorrect and have not been updated for a while. A place like this relies on social media presence and should ensure better accuracy !

Food was so yuck 🤮 we got the chicken sliders which the buns weren't even toasted & the sauce on the chicken didn't go. The chicken tacos were so deep fried & the chicken again had horrible sauce. The bao buns had barely any meat so was pretty much heaps of gross sauce. How do they charge so much for such poor quality food!! 😔

Excellent Service, delicious bar food and cocktails omg. Bar 11. Atmosphere so friendly and relaxed, my family and friends enjoyed the owners quirkiness and he entertained our table. Best experience in Southport and cocktails to die for! Thanks Team Bar 11.

Staying in the Meriton Suites above. Have been here twice. Once for dinner, and once for early arvo drinks. There's a pleasant atmosphere. The service is quick. The food tasty and fast if a little on the pricey side. The wide selection of cocktails were well made and fast. Decent beers on tap for the bois. The outside area has a nice cool breeze on a sticky day. I can recommend to anyone in this part of Southport looking for a chilled bar atmosphere

My parter and i had dinner and cocktails, staff where very friendly and everything was amazing, food cooked perfectly. Ryan made the cocktails like a pro, chef cooked food with love .. will be back for sure, my partner likes thing s done right and bar 11 nailed it

As far as pubs under hotels go this place was pretty good. No live music but the atmosphere was inviting. Great selection of drinks including some Japanese whiskeys. Food was fast and the menu looked great.

Very friendly staff who were all eager to take our orders. We ordered similar food and they got it a little mixed up but it didn't matter. Sitting outside gives you nice ambience and views across the estuary. The tables outside were quite sticky, so they either need a good clean or be replaced. Given it's next to a Woolies the vibes are pretty good.

Went here for dinner. Very keen on the menu everything looked good but service was poor and felt unorganised. The food came out cold and we unwillingly went up about it and got yelled at by the chef. Will not return. We got replacements which was nice but it wasn’t a great night Edit- My friend is the one that spoke to you and in your venue we only had one round of drinks. We were not drunk or yelling at you. And the food was cold as I was eating it and I was the designated driver so I was fully aware of the situation. I was mostly nice in my complaint for there were many other issues with your hospitality but if your only response to well deserved criticism is to say we were drunk you don’t deserve our business.

great bar with great atmosphere and the bar manager on-site at the time certainly knew how to make cocktails, we eventually stayed for 3 and were only supposed to stop in for 1 so well done, had already eaten so cannot comment on the food only that it looked good.

I booked my Christmas party at Bar 11 and we had such a good night. We were a group of 25 people and everything was organised perfectly by Richie. He had enough staff to keep up with cocktail demands. The food was brought out in a timely manner. Can’t fault it. Thank you so much.

Paid $24 for the burger with chips, $29 with public holiday rates. See picture, make up your mind. An extra star because the patty wasn't too bad

My family and I (husband and small child, plus including senior mother and father) came to stay close by to this bar and thought it looked a nice place to stop for a quick drink after a long days travel up from outer state. The “owner” served us and got our order wrong as we asked for a non alcoholic ginger beer… his response was this is not a cafe. Most, if not all bars I’ve been to has our own Australian bundaberg ginger beer available. He then persisted arguing about the fact that this was not a cafe and stormed out kicking myself and my whole family out, including my senior parents. We were not allowed to finish or even start our drinks we had purchased and we did not receive any refund at all. This “owner” then became verbally abusive to all of us in front of my child and aggressively attempted to escort my family out by the arm when we were already on our way. I feel very sad and very disappointed by this little man’s actions. This is not the way we do business here in our beautiful Country. I hope you think about your actions and appreciate each customer with respect as this goes both ways at the end of the day.
