Great cocktails on one side, trashy basics and lots of good beers on the other. 1000% adore this place. Only thing I would change is the addition of an elevator... The stairs are rather difficult to navigate in heels after a cocktail or two.

Great bar. Great music. Awful bartender. Bloke who was working was so rude. I asked for a drink that I had at another bar and he started screaming at me that he would never make such a drink in "his bar" and went on and on for about a minute, laughing at me and trying to embarass me. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Have also seen this bartender on numerous occasions blatantly ignore people who had been waiting first to serve other people. Hire some new staff and this place would be perfect. Such a shame for an alternative/punk bar that customers be treated so poorly.

Josh behind the bar seriously is the best staff member I have come across, as another person in hospitality it's pleasing to see someone handle drunk and disorderly people in a well mannered fashion. He made me feel safe, looked after and a jolly good time. Great energy and honestly I've been coming here for ages just met him tonight and as a queer person in a predominantly straight environment I felt so safe and so happy to have drinks with my friend

Fantastic bar! Really relaxed atmosphere, live music and a great cocktial bar out the back with extremely knowledgeable and fun staff. Music choices are always on point. There's also pool tables and ping pong if that's your kind of thing! I always have a great time when I visit.

You know it's good because the staff swear at you. Also the beer selection is top notch. Floor could be stickier though.

The staff here are awesome! Really friendly and helpful even in the early hours. One chick (I think her name was bunny), helped me out when I wasn’t feeling well. She had finished her shift but took the initiative to check I was okay. She was super friendly and made sure that I was feeling better before I left. The team really made my night. We played a bushfire appeal gig with varying genres present. The staff were incredibly welcoming and layed back. My only gripe is that it was 10 bucks for a stone and wood stubby and about 9 bucks for a scooner of pale ale... other than that, pretty sweet venue in my opinion :)

This is a bar that exists, they sell beer and have live music which is on point with my interests. 10/10 recommend

The bartender Jackson was very inhospitable. I went up to the bar to order a drink and was treated with the weirdest, rudest service tonight not to mention the fact that he seemed very disrespectful towards me and my friend. He swore and angrily disregarded and disrespected my friend when they had made a genuine concern about losing a personal item, containing house keys and a form of ID. The treatment we received tonight was very unhelpful and rude. We actually enjoy this establishment, it’s just a shame that someone like this is working there. We hope that better staff and training will be implemented

The stocky bartender with a big beard was rude and got the worst customer service I have ever seen. Who gives you the right to yell at your customers with no reason? If you are looking for any place to drink with rude staff, this is the perfect place.

I never had such BAD experience with BAR STAFF in Brisbane before. I’ve worked with hospitality for more than 5 years and I never seen such ARROGANCE and Bad manners as last night coming from three of the bar workers. I stayed in that bar from 9 pm to 12:30 am and the venue was basically empty for the normal capacity. However, due COVID-19 restrictions it was necessary leave the drinks inside to get in the smoking area which the capacity was for 6 people. Once I was there, the staff through away a full drink mine that I just had bought and it was placed inside the venue, close the door. Ok, that was requested again for Bartenders and problem solved, despite huge irony from them. After that situation, a Floor staff (male, black hair, piercing, tall (6’1), skinny, long black beard and very rude attitude, started being extremely aggressive with me and group of friends, all of us foreigners. It was clear the implication was just with our group. We were SOBER and following the whole restrictions guide. He was following us all the time screaming. But the worst moment, was when we finally got inside the smoking area after waiting for while in the queue, once the capacity was 6. We got inside there, a Bar Staff (5’9, medium straight hair and with a cap) arrived to smoke and told them to leave because he wanted smoke and he worked there. I told him to wait his time, because we just got there and we were sharing a cigarette. He started SCREAMING “I work here”, “ I can be here” “you guys GO AWAY and threatened us with “I call the security”. I explained him that he could wait his turn and clearly used the COVID-19 restrictions to justify “his rights” to use the smoking area the way he liked. He should be working btw. This time the situation was already out of control, the bar staff and curling blond bait security screaming for nothing, and then I left for such bad treatment. WHY I would spend my money in a such bad environment? Many bars are closing the doors because of the economic moment, but TOMCAT with your immature employees is choosing scream and be rude with few customers that have left. Manager should make a meeting and review if worth keep employees with this kind of attitude. DONT RECOMMEND

5/7 best bar in the world. I mean this as someone who has both punted and a new employee here. The staff I work with work really hard, and management is just as good with communication. One of the best things about working here is having management open to new ideas. Love it here.

Good bar for live bands. No smokers area anymore though. Loud but has some slightly quieter areas. Good vibe and quick bar staff.

Killer venue and service. The music is great too. Tomcat is my fiancées fav bar, so any night in the valley involves having a dance and playing some pool here. A few months back both she and her best mate lost their wallets here on the same night - staff were super helpful when aiding in their recovery! Would recommend.

Terrible service, the manager is hands down one of the most socially inept people I have ever met. Avoid at all costs. Unless of course you are a fan of raging Neanderthals. Never felt so abused in my life. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

We had really kind people who made sure our experience was enjoyable and safe! We had a friend cut his hand and Scott (from the bar) grabbed a Band-Aid and looked after him. :)
