Kiwanda when it first opened was a refreshing difference for the Beenleigh area which offered great food and coffee at reasonable prices. Unfortunately the past 6 months has seen a decline in both service and food. Whilst it's not fair to say that all staff are unprofessional, the relatively high turnover has brought some issues to the surface. Some staff show a positive disdain for people with food intolerance. The quality of the food has remained relatively high, however, the value for money has plummeted recently, well beyond any inflation. I feel like I'm being taken advantage of. The menu also seems to change very frequently, which in some ways is good, but it means that some favourites are no longer available. I increasingly feel like there are much better value for money options in the area, and I think Kiwanda forgets about the competition.

Our son shouted us for late father's day brunch today. As always I get to choose the place. We decided to try this venue. Ohh my!! The place is really nice. I live locally but didn't know about this place! Plenty of parkings, clean toilet, inside the cafe were so spacious, very relaxing feeling about it. The staff were friendly. The menu is plenty to choose for any dietary requirements. And the service was quick. We didn't have to wait long. About 10 minutes our orders were ready. We had Corn and zucchini fritter, maple syrup French toast and the Calamari that so bloody tender! The Calamari ever! They also have market here every first and third Thursday of the months. We will definitely check it out! Very highly recommend this place and for sure we will come back to try other menu👍😋👍

We came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Amazing atmosphere, quite spacious with many seating options and ample of parking. Zaraffa coffee and pretty good variety in menu too - some of them can be made vegetarian option. The cash register set expectations that we could wait 25-30 minutes for the food (it was a bit busy around 8.30am) but luckily it didn’t take that long, 15 minutes and all three dishes we ordered are ready. Taste great. Will definitely come back again! A nice cafe addition conveniently close to North GC.

We were meeting at another Cafe but it was closed & found this little gem just up the road. It was a lovely big space that serves breakfast from 7am & lunch till 3pm Mon-Thur & Fri-Sun till 5pm with all day Breaky available. The photos show the big breakfast & breakfast burger & we thoroughly enjoyed both. At 11am the alcoholic bar also opened so when we have a destinated driver we'll be back to try out that as well. Highly recommend a visit.

Kiwanda manage the whole coffee production from bean to cup on site and it shows in the quality and taste. The breakfast menu is vast and matches the coffee in quality.

Located inside Distillery Rd, it's a great cafe, I've been a couple of times now. On my last visit, I can distinctly remember the very warm and lovely interaction with the staff member who took my order. I settled down at a table near the fireplace to get toasty warm as a respite from the cold putside. I ordered a coffee which was delicious. I can't tell you what I ordered food wise as I think it was a special and I can't see it on the menu. But that too was delicious. My only complaint is the bistro feel of having your go up and get your order yourself when your personalised buzzer goes off. But that's personal choice My whole experience definitely left me wanting to return.

Very impressive setting and atmosphere backed up with high standard Zaraffa's coffee and restaurant grade food. My food choice was grilled chicken fillet on Turkish bread. Chicken fillet can be dry but smashed avocado, sour cream and tomato? salsa made sure it wasn't. Love the hole in the wall to peer through (I can't tell you the secret sights, see for yourself) and just such a cool vibe The coffee roasting factory is on display too.

Wow. What a lovely venue, open and spacious, zarraffa's coffee is on offer as you enter and all the yummy sweets. You can also order you food as you enter. The menu offers something for every taste. We had a large party of ladies and reserved our table lucky as it did get rather busy. All or food was presented beautifully. Hot and fresh. Flat and sparking Waters are on offer free of charge and help yourself. We are now going to book in monthly to enjoy this venue regularly. Highly recommended

Service was a major fail. The male Junior taking orders did not greet or smile, basically just stood there, we had to drive the conversation. Coffee also a fail. Watery and no crema at all on the long black. Flat white was also thin and watery with no foam. However, congratulations to the kitchen!!! Brekky burger had a generous amount of bacon, really good hollandaise and a lovely soft bun. The sweet potato fritters - pretty and very, very tasty. Everything on the plate was awesome however, because the avo and labneh were quite lovely and soft, as a whole the dish was quite creamy. Sweet potato is very difficult to keep form or crunch so while I loved the tastes in the dish, I'd have been even happier with either a crunchy rosti or corn fritters underneath all the other yuminess. Again, well done kitchen 👏

Lovely quiet cafe with plenty of food options. I had a smaller breaky roll from the Zaraffas menu and my husband had a larger breakfast roll from the Cafe menu. Both very happy with our food and the staff were excellent. Will definitely be back

Lovely place and lovely food. Ran out of cutlery! Had to go to another part of the restaurant to get it. Air con was very cold, and I tried 3 different seating areas but still left as soon as our meal was done instead of staying for a coffee.

Kiwanda cafe is a Zaraffas and part of the old Beenleigh Rum distillery site. Has the smoke house outside as well. Nice stop for a tea or coffee on the M1

Good food and reasonably priced with a reasonable wine and beer selection, adjacent car parking and other eating options available also. Was quite full but no waiting for a table (we had 6 people). A very pleasant ambience.

Asked for large coffee mug got cup, returned, not the best of coffees very weak. On collecting our meals there was no cutlery told to go get thei from far counter. Unwrapped at table to find knife was dirty. Food nothing to write home about. Won't get these local coming again.

The breakfast this morning was less than average. Fries eggs were over cooked. No runny yokes. Bacon was scrappy bits on the plate. Scrambled eggs were tasteless and the coffee was so weak we could barely taste it. And it was scorched so we burnt our mouths. We won’t be back. Awful.

Recently returned after some time away and ordered eggs Benedict, as we normally have done. Not realising the menu had changed dramatically, and what we got was I can only discribe was a heavy Mediterranean vegetable based dish, with no bacon in sight. Personal taste of course, but not a fan.

Beautiful experience at this cafe. Breakfast was superb (and affordable for the GC), the coffee was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect, especially for winter. I felt so relaxed sitting by the fire, could've stayed there all day! I'll be back :)

The setting is just amazing, and the industrial feel is definitely different but very appealing. The food served was amazing, my only let down wasn't he coffee. Service with a smile but I do think that table service might elevate the experience. Would definitely go back. 5 stars from Team Tindall

Very ostentatious and vein. The vibe feels underwhelming and unfinished, the decor that is there does not suit the area nor the atmosphere it all seems very pretentious. This is clearly more of an ego stroke for the owner rather than representative of the product. Behind the counter things look very dirty and like staff don't care. Staff at the Cafe ignored customers in order to serve their own office staff first and continued to have personal conversations keeping there backs turned to waiting customers and they weren't even doing anything half the time just standing around. The bar/food service area where a bit more friendly but seemed extremely understaffed with the server having to clean and maintain the whole area aswell. They had one person on the bar/food area covering service and cleaning, yet there where 3-4 staff behind the Cafe the whole time just wasting time and not caring about customers. The one lady from the bar did more work than the multiple staff behind the Cafe counter hands down and the bar lady was cleaning the Cafe area aswell. It's clear that this place is not designed to suit the local area or population, it seems more like some metro Cafe that is completely out of touch with the needs of the area, not to mention the companies push to turn into an entertainment/night market hub which is completely laughable and going to fail extremely quickly. Whom ever thought it was smart to put a brewery in there aswell clearly needs to find another job, this area doesn't need another brewery let alone another metro hipster one that nobody around here would even care about. It's clear these must all just be tax write off's for an owner whom is so detached from his customers, anybody with any common-sense would of done it completely differently and produced a far far better result. This is the perfect example of money doesn't buy brains and a sign of a company that is going downhill and losing quality fast.

7Jan23- Meal was delicious, happy with the customer service received from the chef. The staff who took my order had ordered the wrong item and the chef said it was not a problem she would arrange a refund of the difference and cook what I had ordered. I was super impressed.

Used to love this place because of the relaxed atmosphere, great food and coffee and it's also spacious. Unfortunately the scrambled eggs that I had was very sad (2 spoonful of it and it was also quite salty) The extra sausage I ordered was definitely not worth $6. The coffee was also very ordinary, not as good as it used to be. Very disappointing.

Don't often leave reviews but felt compelled to after a great visit this morning. Excellent coffee, wife loved the smashed avo, the French toast was amazing. Great space for the kids to get some energy out in a beautiful setting. Unlike most cafes this place was big enough that you could actually have and hear a conversation!

We love Zaraffas and have had a positive experience with Kiwanda Cafe the first time we visited, but today we waited 75 minutes for one eggs benedict with a half full cafe. When I approached the staff after the first 45 minutes of waiting, there was no apology, explanation or compensation. I was only asked to repeat my order so they could start making it so I can only assume the order was either missed or never reached the kitchen. We are so disappointed and will not be back.

😠 Yesterday I had lunch at Cafe. I ordered a steak. When the steak comes, I ate the sides first and then the steak. The Steak spoiled. It’s really stinks. I spoke to the staff and he replied that I had eaten most of the dishes. He won't do anything, I'm very unhappy, the service was terrible, the meal...
