Disappointing quality. Got a frame with BN around 3 months ago, though I took care of it carefully, the left arm crooked after a few weeks and today it dropped off. Nose pads were extremely uncomfortable and kept falling from my nose. The day I went to take optical test in store, I arrived on time yet the staff made me wait nearly 30 minutes.The staff was unfriendly and impatient the whole time even I was the only customer in store. Her attitude made me feel like I owe her money. I felt too awkward to stay for an extra minute to discuss about whether some parts on the frame need to be adjusted, so i left. This is my very first one star rate on google maps and would not recommend this place to others.

Love my glasses. Staff were great. I feel like a sexy librarian. Thanks for being upfront on glasses shops being shady on why they can’t give you your prescription. Excellent attention, staffs are very friendly, Optometrist explained everything to me with details. These are my first glasses so I don't have a point to compare but the price was affordable and the glasses look good, well fabricated and of good quality.

I've visited the Brisbane store a few times over the last 2-3 years and have always had excellent service. Both optometrists I've seen were very professional and informative. The store staff have always been awesome. Really friendly, relaxed and not overly pushy with sales. Good selection of frames which are also far better priced than any other high street opticians. I live in a small town so the store is a 3 hour drive away, but I'd rather go there than to my nearest Specsavers. Last time I went I missed my appointment and they rescheduled happily with no issues at all. Wouldn't even bother trying anywhere else.

Not enough of a range of glasses for older people - very disappointed

I can never rate this store high enough! I've been going to Bailey Nelson for a good 5 years now and the last 2 years at the Edward St Store. The staff are fantastic and will help you with whatever you need, even if it's advice on what suits your face type (and if your like me you have many pairs to try on). All staff are super friendly and have some of the best customer service I've seen in any store. Plus Bailey Nelson is a fantastic company who aren't going to charge you $600 for frames and lenses like the other optometrists out there, lenses are included in the price of frames and then only have to pay for extras such as blue light filters and polorised lenses for sunnie's, and again this is at reasonable cost.

Booked in an appointment through another store in Sydney, things were smooth going. Was served by Renee (optometrist) and she was professional yet really fun to converse with! Explained what she was testing and was really knowledgeable. After the eye test, which is waived if you purchase glasses, I was served by Meg which she ran through some cost options (which I thought was really sweet of her). I asked her for some recommendations and she gave her honest opinion - which I absolutely loved. Usually going to the optometrist doesn’t warrant a good time but - I have to say I did have a good time at BN!

I shopped at BN for years and decided to upgrade to a better optom. After 2 years i went back and service and range had deteriorated rated more. I waited 20 mins for my eye test, then was rushed to make a decision, and my glasses are really uncomfortable. I won’t ever go back. It’s not worth it for something you depend on

My Eye Check up was done throughly and professionally. At all times I felt comfortable, was a friendly service by both Optometrist and front desk. Can recommend.

I had a bad experience with one of the customer service assistants today, who told me she would not give me a refund if I were to change my mind on a pair of sunglasses. I had to prompt and clarify with her multiple times before she would disclose the actual returns/exchange policy. Unfortunately I did not get her name but she was tall, brunette and wore glasses. A real shame for an otherwise great chain and I have never been treated poorly at any other Bailey Nelson’s store but this one. Would highly recommend the James street store instead.

The reception girls and the optometrist Renee were super lovely and had amazing customer service. I don’t know her name but the girl in the striped shirt on 28 Sept was really great with adjusting my frame, especially when I’ve had problems with it in the past. Definitely recommend this team!

I had quite a poor experience at this store recently, which is unfortunate as BN staff have always been lovely to deal with over the past few years (regardless of the branch or location)! Lilly on the store floor was not interested in assisting me and seemed more burdened until I approached her and told her that I was looking to spend $400-500 on a pair of glasses. She then told me it would be quicker to place an order immediately in store (as opposed to online which I mentioned, as I was already put off by her) and that it was unnecessary for me to check my prescription before purchasing my glasses despite me asking for testing availabilities that day as my script changes quite frequently. She made no other enquires or suggestions so I left empty handed.

Glasses are the highest quality for work and style. Now can work with the same pair and also go out celebrating football game wins ⭐️ Would recommend 10/10

The two folks at this store on 18 Nov were lifesavers. Glasses through the dryer the night before after some brain fog, scuffed up and lost the nose pads completely. Wandered off the street in the city and they jumped at the chance to assist me with class. Their customer service skills with me and other people in the store were second to none. I’ll be coming here for my next pair of specs. Five stars.

Great glasses, very robust!! Quick and simple process

This is the second time I’ve been to Bailey Nelson for glasses & I have found their service to be excellent on both occasions. The optometrists are genuinely lovely and they actually get your prescription right. Previously I was a customer of Specsavers who didn’t pick up on the fact that one of my eyes was more deteriorated than the other. Super impressed and will be back again for sure. Their post-sale service is excellent too.

As a first-time glasses goer, I had a really pleasant experience with the Edward Street team. The Optometrist was very thorough in the check-up process and explained any worries or queries I had. Choosing glasses was made easy with the help of the Store Manager. He was very honest and upfront with costs and I felt like he was very accommodating with finding me a few styles of glasses I liked. Overall the process was very smooth and quick enough to do on a lunch-break. Thanks team.

I have been ordering contact lenses from this shop a couple times. The first time my contact lenses was play up with my eyes. I have made another appointment to see an optometrist and have discussed the problems. They are not hesitate to help me ordering another ones. Staff are quite friendly and helpful.

This store blew me away! After visiting 4 different and unfriendly optometrists in Queen Street, these guys were the only ones who were very friendly and didn't mind fixing my broken nose pad from my sunnies I bought back home in Belgium. I had a WOW experience! Bailey Nelson will be the only place I'll go to if I need new sunnies or glasses. Thanks guys, great service :-)

She pays attention to details and is very patient with us to make sure our frames are nicely adjusted and we are 100% comfortable with the adjustments. Great customer service. The consultant really went out of her way to help and was happy to track down my script from another optometrist and very gracious even when I just bought the frames without the script. Definitely recommend.

At the beginning of 2020 I got a pair of new glasses from this store from the end of year sale. I wore it and it gave me a headache. Then I realised the position of the lenses was wrong hence I got a headache when I was wearing it. I went back to complain about the lenses. The staff understood there's something wrong with it so she took my eye/pupil measurement. They fixed it, no cost because it's their fault. I was happy. Then 1 week before Christmas I accidentally broke 1 arm of the frame. I went back to ask if they could fix it for me. The staff said it's not a simple fix because they have to find the arms that fit the model and it's an old model they don't make it like that anymore. He said they will try to find suitable arms to replace my broken one. A week later they gave me an update saying they have called some other branches and couldn't find suitable one yet. I was thinking it sounded a very slim chance they can fix my glasses. Then just a day before New Year day, I got a phone call. The girl told me they have found suitable arms and have fixed my glasses. Wow, I wasn't really expecting that. I told her I really appreciated their effort. I was happy to pay a small fee but they said they just wanted to help and not asking anything. Hence I'm writing this because their customer service is excellent. I couldn't be happier! Thank you so much.

The staff (Megan and Ruvi, can I name drop?) were great with getting me a prescription and a frame that fits my face shape, and in a colour that flatters me! I can't recommended this store enough, especially for people who've never had a prescription before. Also pretty stoked I didn't have to pay for Luxottica glasses either.

Today we went into the Edward street store to have our eyes tested and to choose some new frames. I was in an indecisive mood and Rob the sales assistant was so patient, friendly and had a great sense of humour. Big thanks for all the help and can’t wait to pick up our new frames! Thanks BN team.

The service here is excellent. One of the staff members (Rob) was super helpful and made the process of selecting my first pair of prescription glasses a real pleasure. Great experience with optometrists here, super friendly and easy to talk to.

I was mostly disappointed with the collection end of my experience. The original male sales agent, who's name escapes me. Brown hair, glasses, thin, tall, tattoos. He was extremely helpful whenever I had questions and was keen to show off the new transition glasses, which I ultimately agreed to as part of my purchase. He showed them off and really sold them to me. I was very satisfied with that experience. However, part of his sales pitch was that he would personally make the effort of "activating them already at least 10 times" as this will help them work better and faster. As he mentioned they will take awhile otherwise if I had them sent to my home instead of to the shop. I asked about sending home and this was his response. My disappointment comes about when I collected my glasses. The female rep greeted me with a smile and was kind, polite, etc, but it became quickly apparent that my glasses were sitting there amongst others freshly delivered and untouched. I was expecting as I was told that they would be "activated" upon arrival. Ready for collection. I didn't say anything. The rep activated them once, made an adjustment which I question was even necessary, but nevertheless. That was my experience. For paying that for the add-on and agreeing to it after that sales pitch. Maybe don't say that if you don't actually do it out have some system in place for Transitions when they arrive so they are "activated" for customers and then notified about collection. Otherwise, don't bother. I still live the company and I will still support your business, but just know this was not a favourable experience. To what has now been pretty flawless. This was the Brisbane City store, which is normally my main. If it's not, Chermside. Thank you for reading.

Can't recommend Bailey Nelson highly enough. Eye test at Chermside on 5 November, ready on 12 November - advised by txt. I called on 13 November, arrived via Toll on 16 November - Brisbane to Cairns. If I'd called when I got the txt, they would have been here Friday! That's what I call service. Delightful time at Chermside store - really helpful and cheery staff (including a great recommendation about where to go for lunch), and a thorough and caring optician. Edward St store equally customer focused and getting them here was not the slightest problem.

I've been to this store a few times over the past couple of years since I first got glasses. Each time I have been looked after by friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff, and today was no different. Kerrin the optometrist made me feel extremely comfortable during the assessment and went above and beyond to give me helpful information to understand my own eyes and eye health. She then handed me over to Rob to assist me as I indicated I was interested in getting new glasses made up with my slightly updated prescription (I felt under absolutely no pressure to do so). Rob proceeded to devote all his attention to helping me out. Each of his suggestions was spot on - I'm extremely happy with the new frames I chose for both regular glasses and sunglasses. Thanks Kerrin and Rob - you made my visit very relaxed, pleasant and worthwhile.
